Stu teaches my son guitar, having been recommended to me by a friend in the music industry. He is a fantastic teacher - kind, patient, creative and very skilled. I highly recommend him.

I started with Stu back in 2007 learning the classical guitar. Despite my distinct lack of innate talent he got me through my grade 1 with the highest pass in NZ! Life then got in the way and I did not have time to pursue music until many years later I approached Stu with a view to resuming lessons. As in 2007 I have found him to be a great teacher and a compassionate and genuine human being. I could not recommend him highly enough!

I was a complete beginner when I started guitar lessons - and not exactly a natural talent! But I've loved having lessons with Stu and have learnt so much in a short space of time. Stu was always patient and encouraging - while continually pushing me forward with new chords, strumming patterns, songs, and musical theory. I'd highly recommend him for beginners of any age.

Stu is an amazing teacher and musician. I highly recommend him for students of any age and all styles of music . My primary school aged daughter studied with Stu for two years and I can’t speak highly enough of way Stu teaches and inspires .

My son, now aged 14, has been having guitar lessons with Stu for just under 2 years. He loves his lessons, and has learnt such a lot already and is continuing to learn and improve. Stu’s style of teaching is relaxed and he gets the best from his students. He is very patient, and always looks for ways to make playing easy and enjoyable. I can't recommend him highly enough. Tutor Stu has a experienced and attentive ear to bad habits and mistakes but it is his passion to always improve himself and see improvement in others that has rubbed off most on me as his student. Would highly recommend Stu for any skill leveled Guitarist!
