Great store and range, but every time I've come here over the past couple of years the staff haven't even acknowledged me or asked if I wanted any help, and even when I approach the counter they act as though its a burden to be serving me and they can't be bothered. Great music store... I remember coming here as a 6 to 10 year old (in 35 now) with my big brother, the service and music advice was great then and still is now. Great range of great brands and reasonably priced too

As soon as I walked in they gave me a friendly greeting. Asked what I needed help with and could explain everything with ease. Didn't put any pressure on me and made the whole shopping experience easy and enjoyable. They have a wide selection of instruments and gear here. Would definitely return when I need more!

They did everything a pro audio retail shop needs to do. With COVID messing up the supply line, they were understandably missing some stock, but we found an option that was a little different, it still fully catered to our needs, and, it came in at 2¢ below our max budget!

They imported by son's guitar from USA and he received a bonus bag, stand and some picks. They kept us informed as to it's whereabouts. The staff especially Garry were very supportive and genuinely excited when it arrived. The show room is a little bit dated but the quality of the merchandise and the service was excellent

Great advice, Shearer has so much knowledge and skillset. It was wonderful to watch and listen to the instruments he played to demonstrate how they sound with different genres of music when considering purchasing them. He also showed me the process to doing things and helped by putting on the new string purchased onto the guitar. Has advice was true, that with the state of some of the strings that they could break at anytime so I purchased a set, thankfully I did because someone who played on it accidentally broke a string so I had the set on me and was able to replace it myself. Great customer service, really patient, sound advice, most helpful people ever. Terrific experience, was well worthwhile. I recommend buying via Shearer's to keep this awesome store running and so that people can have a great experience also! Much better than just buying online :), Shearer's do have an online store if you do want to check out the costs and buy online though :).

Shearers Music Works has been the go to place in Hamilton for a long time. Instruments, audio keys, drums and staff that know their stuff and are awesome to talk to, if they don't have it onsite I'm sure they'll have access to it. Oh they have a notice board where bands advertise. I highly recommend this store, check it out for all your needs.
