Great service, above and beyond. I went in with a long list of products I wanted to try and Micheal set up a lot of different combinations for me to try. 2 hours in the demo room and we could have gone longer. It was a great experience, and I walked away confident that I had the right speakers.

I've had the pleasure of working with Darrin and the team at Soundline for quite a few years now with various upgrades to my sound system. More recently, I had Darrin and Hamish do the home automation and A/V design for our new build. I really can't speak highly enough about the competence, knowledge and super friendly service these guys deliver, it's always a real joy working with them. For any HiFi, AV or Home Automation advice and the very best of kit, you really can't do better than Soundline. They'll find a solution that meets your budget and put a massive smile on your dial! :)

Exceptional. I've just purchased a NAD C368 Amplifier from Darrin. Could not be happier. Product is great. Darrin's consideration, expertise and customer care is second too none. He went out of his way to assist and advise me, making careful and insightful consideration of my requirements. While I was not a big spender on this occasion I can honestly say that Darrin and his team will always get my future business based solely on this one experience. Darrin knows his products, is forthright, considerate and knows how to care for his customers. Highest recommendation.

I recently bought a new PLINIUS 880 Integrated amplifier through Soundline Wellington. I was really impressed by the customer service and communication of the staff member Mike. He was incredibly accommodating to my requests and kept me regularly updated as there was a wait while the amp was being assembled. Very impressed with the service and will look forward to purchasing more Hifi gear through Soundline in the future. Great little amp too!

I've had four separate interactions with Soundline and all of them have been excellent. The first two were through work to install a multi-zone system, and then shift it when we changed locations in the building. The installer, Jules, was excellent –super tidy install and he was extremely conscious of minimising any impact in the space while he worked. Jules was also open to discussing options, to which he made several suggestions that delivered a better result. He'd easily be my go-to installer from now on. My second two interactions were in store with Darrin. I brought a couple of Monitor Audio in-ceiling speakers for surrounds at home. They were so good I got back in touch later to get another couple for a different area in the house. Both times Darrin cut me a good price and was outstanding to deal with. Great kit, great guys, no bullshit. I'll be back when I get that 'upgrade itch' for sure.

I went to Soundline to discuss my Audio-visual requirements for my house alteration which involved a complete change to our main living areas . Up until my visit to them, I was getting utterly confused with the IT and the wiring requirements to account for music, television, existing stereo and outdoor music capability as well as wireless connectivity for the whole house. Darrin and Hamish worked well together and came onsite and worked out a total package with options - we were able to work through the plan and it has delivered us a tidy set up which works well.They have been very accessible with their service, worked well with the builder, electrician and architect and I value the after sales service provided which included showing us to use the system and being available on the phone to help deal with any problems (which have been few). I would recommend them to anyone who is needing expertise in with a home theatre set up and am very happy with the outcome .

I've known the guys at Soundline for a good few years now ( initially Darrin and Charles , latterly Hamish) and feel quite comfortable in offering a few thoughts on their service. My main interest is in 2 channel music reproduction and I have a very high end reference system. Every piece has been acquired through Soundline ( excepting turntable , but Charles set that for me as well) and I have always found the guys to be particularly helpful in guiding my next move. Recently I became interested in setting up a server/DAC combination which was new to the NZ scene. Darrin set up a conference call with the Australian importer so I was able to ask as many questions as I needed to. A few years ago Charles flew me down to Christchurch so I could have the opportunity to hear a speaker I was interested in. The follow up service they offer is exemplary. I've had Darrin round on a public holiday replacing a defective tweeter on one of my speakers. Due to my complete computer illiteracy , I've needed a lot of help setting up my server /network combination. Hamish has made several visits to tweak things and it now works flawlessly. I now regard them as friends and can quite happily talk to Charles for hours about classical music. We share a fondness for Mahler ( and port !) I often pop in to chat to Darrin - he is always welcoming ( and he makes a mean flat white !) So I have no hesitation at all in recommending them ; I have done so for several work colleagues who I know are also very happy with the service they have received. Kevin O'Connor

I purchased Monitor Audio Bronze 5 and a Silver W12 from the Welington store. Wow the sound that comes out of the B5 is excellent for a small tower speaker and paired with the S W12 fantastic. Great team at Soundline, they let me try different speakers with my own music and will buy from again when I want more audio gear.

I have had 3 different interactions with the team at Soundline and I have to say, these guys are excellent to deal with. The first time was getting a new cartridge installed on my turntable as well as a new phono stage which made a huge difference to how good my vinyl sounds. The second was when a CD/DAC I had bought somewhere in the south island stopped working. Even though Soundline didn't sell the brand I had - they went the extra mile to get in touch with the people in Auckland that repaired that brand to see if it could be fixed and sent it off by courier to be looked at. This was in stark contrast to the place I bought it from that didn't seem to want to know about it. Since they were so good to deal with, I (sometime later) decided to get a replacement CD/DAC from them. Darrin took me through some solid options that fit the bill for me. I'm very happy with what I came away with which was a CD/DAC plus blu-ray player from OPPO. I have had dealings with both Darrin and Charles - both guys really know their stuff and are great guys to deal with!

Soundline supplied 2x Sonos speaker systems, giving excellent advice and service. Allowing an easy install/set up. The sound really fills the room and is crystal clear, I would recommend them 100%.

I was very very happy with everything Soundline did on my build project. Their advice at the outset on system design was invaluable, I was kept well up to speed with progress, they were proactive in identifying and resolving issues, and their installer was a total craftsman. I can't recommend them highly enough, and I would definitely use them again on another project.

I highly recommend Soundline for their knowledge and ability to design and install a system that came out of an idea. We went to them when we were building a new house and told them we didn't want cable running around the edge of the room to speakers or components. The result is fantastic not only no cables but no visible speakers, TV or components. Savant Automation made control of the system very simple, the phone or pad is the remote very simple. All the guys are very helpful and easy to talk to, give them an idea and they will think of how to make it work. They did a great job for us and we thank them for that, it was easy and hassle free. I purchased a Sonos system from Soundline last week. Soundline was the only stockest in Wellington who had the gear setup ready for us to listen to it. We made an appointment as we wanted to see how loud it went. It sounded great instore and just as good at home. It was easy to setup and run. Brilliant service! Bought my Onkyo from these guys back in the 90's and have just updated to sonos with them, all very well going online but you don't get the superb service. Great price matching and they were good enough to check my old speakers over before I handed them down to another family member. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

5 years ago I bought an Oppo blu-ray player from Soundline. It's a beauty, never had a problem. Well, just this weekend, my remote stopped working! Long story short, I took in my player and remote and the problem was fixed within just 5 minutes! (And before you laugh, no, it wasn't the batteries ....) Friendly service and great products. Once again Soundline have gone beyond the call of duty of ensure my Sonos system was working perfectly. Having recently moved house, it was in a state of shambles so it was great to get Julian around within a few hours of the SOS call to Darrin. Julian ensured Sonos was back up and running, suggested a few tweaks and even had my TV sound bar connected as well so a bonus extra sound output. Thanks for all the help and also for the intel on how best to place the stereo/turntable set up in the new living/kitchen area. Can't wait to get the Outcast out in the courtyard this weekend. This is the second emergency call Soundline has responded too so full marks for service. And of course nothing beats Sonos. Mike

Often with stores like these, there is pressure to upset but these guys listen to what you want, and go above and beyond to get products in or recommend solutions that'd work the best. From casually browsing Harvey Normans, Noel Leemings, JBHifi and the likes and being advised by sales staff what they thought was best for a sound system in my newly built home, I quickly discovered the confusion I was put in with contradictory sets of guidance. I visited Soundline and met Julian to see if someone operating with the name Soundline could justify all the mixed information I had received already. Well he shared some options to what my needs were and what i will be doing in the home when it came to internet, audio and visual technologies. It was in that one meeting that I felt when the house is ready to be built I will go to Soundline only. When that time came, another visit with our house design plans, we sat with Darin and established exactly how our family lived and what interests we had and also more importantly how my wife and I ran our own independent businesses from home. Soundline established fibre network solutions, theatre solution, living area sound and visual solutions and office and clinic solutions, controlled and operated from s single app on our smart phone. Now this could not be done and achieved from Harvey Normans etc. The team effort and knowledge base with customised solution from the Soundline team undoubtedly is a great choice. If I could build another house then I know exactly who to see for my home automation and audio visual solutions. Make talking to them a priority on your list and understand the difference and options available to you before making the mistakes, like our neighbours in our new subdivision. Thanks Guys.
