My wife and I are disabled and she wanted to get a violin. These guys were nothing but fantastic, they have a chair lift that I’ve never seen in any other shop with stairs. They were absolutely wonderful with helping us from start to finish from finding one that suits, to letting her try it out and more. She’s very happy with her new purchase. Thank you team, we will be back again.

Bought my first PRS guitar after coming to NZ. I've owned guitars before but they were pre-owned. So this one would be my first very own guitar. Nothing beats a brand spanking new shiny instrument to bring back your lost motivation lol. Great/Best place for any music enthusiast. Great collection. I'm just hoping they bring in some Positive grid spark amp stock. Been waiting for it for quiet since time now. Cheers

Love this place! It has a lot of varieties of musical items and all their accesories! We came here to get some guitar straps and picks and yet ended up getting more items. It has a lot of collection of electic and accoustic guitars, drum sets, bass, trumpet, and more. The guys are very helpful as well. The price is a bit expensive, depending on the items you are looking for but they also provide discounts and specials. The shop is a bit packed and you have to take the stairs a bit up so it might be a bit tricky for those with disabilities ♿️. Located in Cuba st area, this place is very strategically located.

Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The service received was first rate. A time and date was given to collect Ukulele and the delivery men turned up bang on time. the set up my Ukulele where I asked them to and again they were very helpful. The Ukulele is exactly as I requested and was also cheaper than other music instruments store in Wellington. I would not hesitate in recommending Rockshop to anyone. One point of improvement I see is there is no refund policy which is not very welcoming to customers. They are certainly the store I will go to for all my future musical needs.

Went in to buy a guitar, spent 10 minutes looking around, no staff came to offer help, they all seemed to be at the counter. Bought a guitar from Music Works instead. Reasonable selection of guitars

Highly impressed by the manner in which they dealt with a contact less pick up of some mics we had in for repair. We were given a time slot to pick them up and a young guy dealt with the transaction in a seamless and extremely safe manner. Congratulations on your pick up system and thanks for keeping us safe

The Orange PPC212 product is great, it is what I've wanted for some time so I already have tried it. I think most important here was the high level of customer service at the Rockshop Wellington branch. Chris was very helpful in discussing the transaction with me, which was processed quite late in the day (as I had to come directly from work). The salesperson also helped me greatly with getting the product in my car which was much appreciated, and given the late time of day I consider was above and beyond exceptional customer service. You definitely get the sense that you can trust the folks on hand at the Rockshop. I brought my old drum heads in to replace without having done any homework on what I wanted, and walked out with a set of fresh heads that I was very satisfied with, and thanks to the good value of the combo packs that were suggested, I ended up spending a fair bit less than I had anticipated.

HUGE music shop with a great selection of instruments! Came here for audio equipment, the staff were really helpful and seemed really eager to help, which was great. Its hard to believe just how much stock a shop can stock & display for customers - the Rockshop is iconic and has it all - staff are very knowledgeable, assistive and friendly. I was after an acoustic pick up for a guitar and a mini production keyboard - they had a great selection to choose from and I left the shop as a very satisfied customer. I have been to almost all of the other music shops in Wellington and the Rockshop stands alone as having a wide and comprehensive range of almost anything - highly recommended to anyone visiting Wellington or local purchasers. I have also visited music shops in other cities around the world and in my opinion the Rockshop is up there with the best.

I was hoping to see a bunch of Fender amps thinking about swapping out my Vox but only one - if you want Marshall / BlackStar or Mesa you'd be ok tho... Didn't have an acoustic guitar peg puller either which is disappointing given they've got a range of upmarket acoustics
