Have been staying here for 10 days as part of managed isolation. I have zero complaints. The food was excellent considering the circumstances under which is prepared and served. All staff have been super friendly and helpful. Thanks for making miq better than I had expected
K.
Staying for Jacindas welcome back event for citizens. Room wise, a good size, the bed is awesome and if the circumstances were different, overall awesome. If you can choose your furniture combo, it would be even better. The hotel people are very obliging and can juggle food on the MIQ fixed menu if it is spicy. If you order something, it is there almost straight away and have no complaints at all with GM.

It was not a visit to the Hotel but stay was due to MIQ. The experience was of in a detention centre managed by Armed Forces in the garb of isolation. In ten days I could go out for four days for 15 minutes only each day. On two days there was shortage of security personnel and hence outside visits for fresh air and exercise was curtailed. Poor management and there was no prior risk assessment. Inhaled same air as there was neither any ventilation nor fresh air. No body could venture out of the room. The Managers made it an army area and converted isolation to detention. All the four tests were Negative even then made to live in detention. Rules need to be looked into.

Personally I haven't been here. But my close friend stayed there as part of his quarantine. He was very upset with the food that he asked us if we could arrange some food for him. He ordered from Uber Eats on the other days.

My room no. Was 1008.. who soever made this room plz appreciate his work.View was fantastic from my room... Spacious rooms, cleanliness was beyond my expectation ,bathroom was neat and clean and well maintained. .kind staff , tasty food. I loved it.... I would love to visit again when the hotel will be under normal catagory.... Thanks to chef who made our stay very very comfortable and to all the staff from housekeeping, laundry,F&B and front office team especially fin and the another night manager at front office on Saturday... Appreciated all your kind help... Thank you all.

Hmmm I think the reviews on the food is a bit unfair, or just SUPER picky eaters. Sure you don't get a choice and every now and then there was something I wasnt keen on. But it's MIQ people and it's cheaper than actually staying there and buying that many meals!! I think they did a great job. Meal service was fast and efficient
A.
Am here in MIQ. Am told it's the largest MIQ facility in NZ. There are currently 600 MIQ guests here.
So far my experience is it is running like a well oiled machine.
The food is varied, high quality and prepared professionally. Very good.
Staff are mostly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Altogether, way better than anticipated.

We did 7 days MIQ here.
Pros: extremely kind staff, a very clean room with an opening window, comfy beds and pillows, large bathroom with tub and shower. Barista coffee saved us.
Cons: the food was quite unhealthy and some days definitely worse than others, only 30min a day outside.
J.
Look, I'm reviewing as a 'guest' for an MIQ stay, so I cannot speak too much about facilities outside my room. However, room service is quick, anything brought in from the outside world comes promptly. The food has been a bit hit and miss, but thankfully as it's in the CBD, there's plenty of other places to order from.
Staff are so friendly, especially Sava the Night Manager. When I arrived I required antibiotics, they were in my hand within 2 or 3 hours of my first phone call.
Personally, I am against the MIQ process as the money spent could be used to establish a nationwide ambulance service, temporary and permanent ICU facilities and a vast amount of ventilators. I am ashamed of the response to SaRS-Cov2,
There are many other highly deadly and infectious diseases on earth, and the decision to cancel elective surgeries has caused my teeth to rot in my mouth, with previously healthy teeth now blackened and dying. Jacinda waiting so long to procure vaccines because 'others need it more' was spitting in the face of those with autoimmune disorders such as myself, and the elderly population.
Regardless, I am happy to spend my MIQ stay here. Excellent staff, thank you.
S.
My family and I stayed here for our 14 day MIQ. We are actually on our last day of stay here and I just wanted to say a thanks before we depart. We really enjoyed our time here, staff where very helpful and gave us everything we needed for our kids. Food was amazing I've never eaten so much. Thank you to the team at Grand Millennium hotel for making our stay that little bit more enjoyable!!

Stayed here for 14 days during quarantine. Got to know the room intimately.
It’s not a four star hotel anymore. Toilets barely flush, rooms are very dark and lighting is limited. Aircon is pretty loud even on low fan setting. Bedside table was falling off the wall making putting anything on it a challenge.
I’m sure it is nicer when it’s not an MIQ facility but in this time the room was a quite average.
All NZDF and medical staff were excellent.
l.
I decided to fool myself that I was rich and brought the most expensive item on the menu.... A steak that cost the same price as the room did.
I was confused when Instead of a steak knife being presented... it was infact a butter knife. I asked the waiter and he said trust me, give it a try... To this day I never knew steaks atomic mass could be that of a block of butter.
Two years later Im still thinking about this mouth watering steak and will more than likely remeber that steak for years to come.
Thanks for that experiance.

I stayed at the Grand Millenium during my time in MIQ. Unforchunately, my post arrived after I had left and my washing went walk abouts. The hotel team have been nothing but lovely in helping me retrive it. My post was worth > $400 (treat yourself birthday situation!) and it was returned in perfect condition. The manager is reviewing all the video footage to return my washing. Thanks for going above and beyond team, appreciate it!
K.
Beautiful atrium and carpets... Central to the aotea square. Luxurious bed and bathroom. Would be good to return to the hotel outside of MIQ.
J.
Currently in this MIQ facility... Its OK... No other MIQ to compare to. Rooms are good.
D.
The location is central and the food was good. The hotel was clean, staff friendly, and clean hotel has a lovely swimming pool and gym.
S.
I do not normally review places but this one I can’t help it. Everything was just so amazing! I stayed there some weeks ago while isolating and they have the best of best services! Friendly staffs, clean and neat with all the facilities you need. They even brought me a beautiful birthday cake on my birthday which was really lovely of them. Thankyou for everything Grand Millennium Family and wish you the best for the future! 😊
H.
Rooms feel kind of old. Not that modern design. Food is alright not brilliant. Not really healthy enough. I'm here on two week lock down and already getting claustrophobic on day 3 so maybe hotels aren't really my thing 🤷♂️ walking areas for us confined here at the moment definitely could be better
M.
Friendly staff and nice place. The hotel is a bit dated but it has its charm from the '80. The room we had was very clean and still good looking, comfortable bed and 7 pillows to choose from! We had a food and drink voucher with our Grabone deal and the wait was extremely long but they offered us free drinks as a make good gesture. We'll be back.
E.
I am spending hier 2 weeks (9 days left) in the managed isolation. The room is very dusty, and during the whole period they don’t provide room service. Another thing that is no-go in the isolation - construction works outside the hotel. I should stay in my room but I can’t because it’s so awfully loud outside. So my dust allergy kicks in and my nerves already stretched to the max.
“+” - bathtub, comfortable beds, enough space in the whole room, one big window (but unfortunately dirty), friendly staff.
A.
One of the best hotel i have ever been. Room is awesome, big enough, spacious and clean. Staff and other services are really good. I would love to visit again when i have no restriction.
N.
Really nice stay, nice and close to everything as well. Facilities were good I remember one of the staff being a bit rude but all the other times I've stayed here its been good.
C.
We had a wonderful stay, especially being upgraded to a suite! Club lounge was pleasant with good selection of drinks and snacks.
Reception staff were very friendly and efficient. Made us feel very welcome.
Pool and gym are really nice but the outdoor area is a bit tired.
The buffet breakfast let the team down as it was pretty tasteless and average quality at best.
Hotel location is easy walk to most of the CBD. Great city views.
J.
Well, don't believe the pictures. This hotel is super dated and in desperate need of a boost aka remodeling. The hallways smell musty and just old. It's a comfortable hotel and the location is not bad. The rooms are clean and spacious. The downstairs restaurant does not let you order unless is through room service, I thought that was odd. But I guess there was some type of event happening. The front desk was helpful and pretty quick with service. I would say, just know what to expect and you will not be disappointed. Overall an ok stay, prob wouldn't stay again.
N.
Always a pleasure one of the originals of Auckland and service was good, issues with checking in due to computer failure the staff sorted it. The room fantastic, yes it was the m suite but still fantastic. Parking was easy as due to it came with the room. Breakfast was good. The bar was fantastic due to us drinking at it for 5 hours very accommodating.... I will be staying again.
S.
Stayed for a couple of nights. The room was perfect. The pool was nice along with the sauna. The gym had reasonable facilities for weight training as well as cardio. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Didn't deal with any staff but the reception team were fine.
A.
Managed isolation went as good as could be expected, staff were nice including all the NZDF, security etc. Food was great, rooms were good, only remotely bad thing is the wifi was spotey at times but for the general user you won't notice. Well managed facility.
A.
Staying here as this is a managed isolation facility during December 2020 to January. Great service by the team and keeps you updated on anything happening. Thank you Team for making my isolation stay accommodating.
L.
Overall, the hotel are quite nice.
* However, the room service was disappointing. I asked them to bring cutlery to my room twice, waited for 1.5hour and still nothing. I offered to go down and grab it if they were too busy but they said they would bring it up to my room. They never did. My food was cold and inedible after 2 hours waiting. Then I called the manager and she apologised, handled the situation very well.
* The swimming pool is quite nice but could use some cleaning for the chairs. My partner wanted to use the male sauna room but it was not working at that time.
* The room is clean, nice and cozy.
L.
I stayed here for isolation, great experience. Spacious rooms, lovely staff and tasty meals. Smooth operation and well looked after. Thank you!
i.
Fantastic stay & nice hospitality. Very close to city center. Walking distance to waterfront & Sky tower.
Will come soon to visit your hotel again. all the best :)
R.
Look.. This place is great although, right now I'm in managed isolation for COVID. I'm confined to my room but hey, the meals are great, the wine from the hotel store is delicious, the Xbox plugs straight in and plays (my boys are happy). One day is like to come back for a proper visit... One where I can actually leave the premises. 😁
M.
Excellence! We stayed in a room on the top level with club room access. Staff are so warm and friendly. Great views, so quiet and spacious. Thank you so much for the kind gift and birthday card ❤ The change I would make, please offer a plant based milk in the club room. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to all. Lovely breakfast buffet too!
R.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Good location. Decor a bit dated but still lovely. I did find the the bed to be really uncomfortable that I hardly slept (but I'm also pregnant so could have been a contributing factor). Pool was great after a bad nights sleep.
H.
I have enjoyed my stay so much. One thing the highlight of my trip was Chris, he was the receptionist who checked me in. I believe you are doing your job with your whole heart and passion. Thank you so much for going extra mile for my personal problem and helping me come out of it. I wont ever forget this place and I am so glad I choose this hotel 😊. The environment created by employees is so homelike from the door till the end. Will recommend to everyone worth every penny.
M.
Great hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice views from room. No real control over heating and cooling though. Window does open. The hotel has a well equipped gym and 15m pool that is heated and a nice outdoor patio are. There are also male only and female only saunas from the gym.
Central location to food and navigation of Auckland. Would recommend
V.
For the price, this hotel is great and delivers tremendous value. It’s not the flashiest or newest hotel but it’s sheer size is impressive. Location is slightly further outside of the downtown area than I would like for easy access to the wharf or main attractions.
Was easily able to get an early check-in which was quite appreciated. One of the least expensive Expedia VIP Access Hotels which delivers some nice perks like a NZD $24 food and beverage credit per stay. Really wished this was per night rather than the whole stay. Utilized this for a set breakfast on one morning which was quite tasty and with quick service.
Hotel staff is friendly and they are very responsive over Expedia. Rooms are pretty large and clean. Bathrooms were huge with both a shower area and bathtub. Daily cleaning was quick and efficient. Pool area is a bit lacking with a tiny pool and the outdoor area is not very appetizing with the sun shining directly overhead. Needs more areas that are covered or a pool outside.
p.
This hotel is totally unique because of its archtect and specially the food
G.
Nice and spacious, very clean and the bed was soooo comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Nice location as well. Only downside the swipe cards for the rooms would not work when we would go in the lifts.
F.
The hotel is just a stroll away to downtown, close to shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
The rooms are big and confortable, clean and tidy. They have a vast selection of room service and the food is delicious.
If you like to workout, their gym won't disappoint you.
M.
Have been twice had slow room service on our pizzas and drinks (Which was fine, nothing special).
Had a double rooms as we were going to concerts both times, had a view straight back to the other side of the building.
Room was a little over priced for what it was.
The indoor pool and gym were decent.
Probably won't go back unless for work.
Expected a little more to fair.
S.
Excellent hospitality by the staffs. I happened to attend a two day conference here. Nice venue. Very neatly done. The audio visuals were clear. The room was well lit and air conditioned. Didn't feel tired at all through the day. The food and beverage was of top quality. We got to have all vegan lunch on day one and the food was excellent. Good experience overall!
T.
Very good hotel at a reasonable price, close to Queens Street and the shopping district. The rooms are spacious, with a large bathroom with oversized tub and sink and shower, perfect for the Americans. King size bed with large headboard, and reading lights and multiple outlets on both sides. Nicely decorated with large window. Lobby, hallways and elevator are wide and spacious. Breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant was adequate and convenient.
z.
I loved it. The location was in the heart of all the shopping centres. The staff where so amazing and really really helpful. I absolutely loved the stay and experience at this hotel!
The only downfall is the size of the rooms, but that’s nothing to complain about because we chose that size!
You can’t go wrong with this place amazingggggg
R.
Excellent hotel, very clean and very nice meals. It is during my stay 14 days isolation quarantine and also they send me some treats.
Thank you !
GM Ken Orr and team.

I have been a loyal customer of this property for the last 10 years. I have enjoyed the hospitality and attention to detail that the hotel staff have rendered to me. Love the junior suites and Highly recommend adding the club room access, which we found is great value for money and if you are travelling with kids is a must-have.
Special thanks to Abhishek, Alex and Sofia for their commitment to making every stay a pleasurable and memorable experience.

I booked this stay as a treat for myself and found the checking in process to be good, as they let me check in early. The hotel was lovely and ideally situated.
I was less impressed with the request for a $200 bond (which I have never struck before in my travels around NZ and the world) and room payment in advance which was followed by, on checking out, a further repeat charge for room payment (plus room service charges - which I was fine with). I queried double paying for the room, at the desk and was told it was their policy and the original check in payment would be refunded. It was not and consequently blew my budget for the stay. A few days post check out and I am now chasing up the original payment refund. A call to the hotel and they put me through to a mailbox that told me it was full and disconnected me. I am now trying again to follow this up and get it sorted. Kind of soured my experience unfortunately and would have to rethink
H.
Amazing hotel. Much more than just a place to sleep. The conference facilities were brilliant. The food was extraordinary. Nice pool and gym too. The location is ideal, not far from the Sky Tower, the casino, Aotea Square and Queen St. Very professional service, the staff were extremely helpful. I would definitely stay there again given the opportunity. Highly recommend.
G.
Picking up passengers discharged from MIQ. Did not enter hotel.
D.
FRIENDLY staff. Apartment well equipped, clean, spacious, excellent room service. Food is tops- cater for dietary requirements
L.
We stayed overnight for a conference and the hotel has improved from the last time we stayed here. The room was top notch and the check in staff were excellent. Breakfast was a great selection and very tasty. Staff were attentive and friendly. Parking was convenient and next to the hotel. Carper at hotel needs to be changed.
K.
You feel like the most important guest there, from the moment you first walk in. Truly exceptional customer service. Beautiful coffee. Amazing restaurant. It's my very favourite place to stay when I work in Auckland. And the Christmas tree is gorgeous.
E.
Loved my experience here. Staff we very accommodating and were willing to assist with everything. Easy check in and out. Room was a good size and the bed was super comfortable. Close proximity to shops and the wharf area. Would recommend this hotel.
G.
Stayed in the suite. Indulgent yes but if you throw in all the perks, a very reasonable price. Free valet parking and breakfast. Then between 5 and 7 free drinks and wonderful nibbles. Great in itself but the club room comes with outstanding service. So attentive and friendly. Wonderful way to start the evening.
The room, although maybe a little dated, was huge - big enough for a piano. (Only wish I could play). And spotless. The shower was incredible.
An indulgent stay that surpassed all my hopes. I'm spoilt now. And so worth the price.
S.
Wonderful stay here for our time in Auckland. While traveling back from Tonga, there was a mix-up in the booking and the hotel was understanding and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and a welcoming retreat after exploring the city and visiting family.
S.
PERFECT!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grand Millennium. The staff the location the room the restaurants available within the hotel are EXCELLENT. Customer service at the entrance, reception as well as the Club Lounge was AWESOME. We are definitely going to be staying here again thank you for an AMAZING memorable anniversary weekend.
S.
The property is well maintained with a great staff . The location is good too. U’ll find almost everything outside within walking distance. Menu is not impressive. I suffered a lot during my 3 days stay there. There are hardly any vegetarian options and they are not very flexible to make anything for you. It’s expensive in terms of food/ beverage. Overall a great place !
S.
Nice and close to the heart of the city but the rooms are in need of serious maintenance and updating to bring them in to the modern day. The beds are good as far as hotel beds go, I slept very well.
I suggest asking for rooms on the queen street side of the building as the view is much nicer
M.
We came for 3 days for our anniversary and it was a treat! The staff were so lovely and helped us find our way around Auckland whether it was booking a cab or telling us where to catch the bus. The rooms were very clean and the facilities were also very good. My stay was great ! Favourite part was the Japanese restaurant in the hotel. The manager's service was great! FOOD WAS SO AMAZING!
M.
Great stay! Rooms are modern and spacious. Bed is definitely comfortable. Location is fantastic... 20 minuets to the beach.. shopping is just around the corner.. staff is great ..
K.
Stunner!!
Loved our stay at Grand Millenium. From the staff to the cleanliness of the room was excellent. Customer service at the entrance, reception as well as the bar was awesome. A beautiful place to spend a night in the city centre. Walking distance to Queen street and the Sky tower. Would definitely stay here again.
B.
I expected a certain level of professionalism when my wife and I stayed at the hotel last month. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly front desk staff and Mrs. Lopez. I had to make some last minute changes and she was patient with me at every step of the process. Enough so for me to remeber her name and make a quick review about the hotel. I thought I was beautiful and it exceeded my expectations.
J.
Tidy and clean. Reasonably modern rooms but very dated and sad lobby/carpet/staff uniforms etc. Has the unpleasant feel of a hotel that thinks it is higher end than it is and staff are friendly but seem to get confused by basic requests. Decent place though moderately pricey but don't expect good service.
P.
Dinner at the hotel brasserie was excellent value and delicious. We were impressed by the variety of food all which was well presented.
The hotel is also excellent and upgrading to the club level was an good choice as it gives access to complimentary canapes and drinks. Rooms are large and well appointed as you would expect for a five star hotel.
J.
The hotel is in a convenient location. The parking can be a bit confusing to get to, and it costs about $25 NZD to park there a day. Our room was pretty dim and dark, even with all the lights on. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet costs $34 NZD per person and honestly it's not worth it. They provide a good selection of food, but nothing special (I've had comparable free breakfast at Hilton in Newton N.J.). One of the days they had hash brown and they were all pretty cold. For that amount of money I'd go out and find a local restaurant. You can also get a small cup of coffee to go but you have to pay for it too. I get that it's a business, but for being a four star hotel and the amount of money they charge, you'd think at least they can throw in free coffee.
C.
I called up on Friday to organise a bottle of wine to be delivered to my good friend who is staying at GM Auckland during difficult personal circumstances. The duty manager and receptionist on the day were so kind and helped me to arrange this, even with a personal handwritten note as I was calling from Australia. This was so appreciated and I cannot thank you enough!
S.
Room was well-decorated and spacious. Service was impeccable, professional and on-point.
However, breakfast selection was quite limited, and the quality was slightly above average.
Excellent overall experience, and I would definitely stay here again.
A.
Great hotel, staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. I stayed in the Club room and you get access to the Millennium Club Lounge on level 12. Free breakfast included with the room in the morning and canapes and drinks from 5-7pm. The bar food on level 1 is also great. Definitely enjoy my stay here when I go to NZ.
R.
Location was perfect. Centralized and close to the CBD area.
Let's talk about Hospitality:
Staff was always present and accommodating. Check-in receptionist was up to date with my checkout timings and reminded me how many nights I'm staying for, which is very helpful for someone who is forgetful like me. During checkout, I've asked for a weighing scale as suitcase was kinda heavy from all the shopping of manual honey and chocolates! They immediately prep a weighing scale and assisted with my bags. Super helpful. When waiting for my ride to arrive, they offered to carry my suitcase and asked if I needed a cab and you can basically have conversations with the staff while waiting. Friendly? Yes!
Now, Hotel Comfort:
I'm given 2 beds but a solo traveller so that was nice. Extra space is good. Bed is comfy, pillows soft and comfy too which made waking up in the morning difficult! Towels are fresh, white and clean. Housekeeping staff is friendly too. They will greet you good morning and when you're leaving, they wished me 'Thank you' which was a nice touch as I'm leaving their hospitality and not knowing when I'll be back.
Restaurants:
I only manage to have breakfast and it's a good spread of continental breakfast. Full house for sure. What makes a big difference is, I don't feel like I'm in a restaurant. I feel like I'm at home, having breakfast with friends. Staff will strike up conversations with you and ask how was your day and where you're from... That's a nice touch. Keep that up because having breakfast alone and no one to talk to can be quiet depressing and it makes food seems all not nice! LOL!
Finally, LOCATION:
Location, location, location.. That is what matters most. Since its close to the CBD area, you're pretty much walking distance to offices, shopping areas and eateries. You can easily walk like 5-10 minutes to get souvenirs and Manuka honey!
So overall, I am very happy with my stay as the experience was simple but a memorable one. Nice location, friendly and helpful staff and most of all comfort and convenience. Will definitely return to stay in the same hotel should I ever come back!
S.
Here for a conference, the food has been great. The rooms wonderful and comfortable. Location central and easy aces to motorways. Walking distance to city. Going to civic for show tonight and all easy walking. Don't know why I haven't stayed here before.
C.
Loved the room and the location. Staff was very helpful. One negative is that we could not get a regular cup of coffee comped. We only had a teapot in our room and no table lamp. I feel that regular cofee/tea should be offered all day!
D.
Really nice property with great amenities. The breakfast buffet is decent, but gets busy around 830. This property does not offer complimentary shuttle to Auckland Airport, but you can hire one for about $17.50 NZD. Overall a quality stay.
K.
Close to downtown. Big, spacious hotel. Staff is so and so....depends on your luck. Room service is good, breakfast not that much. Concierge and Wi-Fi are good. Amenities in bathroom and rooms are big plus.sometimes may get little bit noisy
M.
Great place to either stay or to attend conferences. Space for displays is plentiful and the access is good also. Has had a good makeover recently and is starting to look classier. A good bar and restaurants on site make it even better.
F.
The hotel is strategically located in the CBD area of Auckland so it is very convenient to stay there. The room was spacious and clean. Also, we had the opportunity to dine at Katsura, one of the restaurants there. The food was delicious and the service was great.
M.
We stayed for a night with our two small children and were delighted with the staff service and friendliness. The rooms were a decent size and the bathrooms nicely done. The indoor pool was a huge plus. We will definitely be back!
S.
Lovely hotel really central easy walking anywhere. Staff lovely and very helpful recommended Tony's for food which was great and only 5 min walk. Sadly we only had two nights here as we are lucky enough to be touring. Ate in the hotel first night really good food and varied breakfast . Would stay again if we had chance.
W.
A very friendly clean and luxury Hotel. Staff are always asking if we need anything or help. My wife and i stayed here for our first trip to New Zealand and it was terrific. Will definately be staying here again on our next trip. So close to all the main activities and Restaurants which was really handy.
G.
Stayed here a few times. Great customer service . Beds are good, bathroom is nice. Love the on site Bar and Restaurant. Breakfast could improve a llittle more. Other than that great experience as usual. I would highly recommend this place .
s.
Spacious rooms. Amazing staff. A special shout out to Ayush. He was so friendly and efficient. Made us feel well looked after 😊. Food at the Brasserie was top notch.
J.
Comfortable, yet elegantly subdued and well appointed hotel. Hotel rooms are well designed and spacious. Our room service experience was not great but staff were very friendly and polite. Would stay there again.
A.
I really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very spacious, the staff very friendly. The access is very good and the Christmas tree was amazing. The only downside is the daily parking is extortionate, around 25 dollars for 1 day. I always thibk parking should be included in the hotel price. Other than thag however, i would recommend staying here. Location is great for exploring all the different adeas in aukland.
T.
Nice place with friendly professional staff. Loved the pool too. Only 4 stars because it could have done with a bit of maintenance. Broken sink plug, fridge freezing milk, cracked tiles, water damaged ceiling in shower. Would stay there again but would only rate 5 stars everything was exceptional.
R.
The check-in was good & fast , upgrade to 12 th floor a real surprise & most appreciated. The beers at happy hour @ $ 6.oo was also a bonus. Into dinner & the menu was a mixture of local & international tastes . Settled for a Goat Curry , which i have tried at other hotels , around the globe . There's was 100 % authentic , wow !!!! $ 26 .50 a bargain . Bed was huuuuge & oh so comfortable . Bathroom was also very large ,with upmarket toiletries. The only negative was that the TV didn't work , no or weak signal, not a worry ,i only put on in the early morning for background music while doing stretches. I would stay again for sure .
S.
Excellent service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and very well presented. In room service was delivered on time and was freshly cooked and nice and hot on arrival. I highly recommend a stay at the Grand Millenium.
A.
We stayed overnight for a quick stop at auckland. The room was top notch and the check in staff were excellent. Breakfast was a great selection and very tasty. Loved the bar here too. They have a nice bar and 2 restaurants here. Staff were attentive and friendly. Parking was convenient and next to the hotel. Carper at hotel needs to be changed.
B.
My partner and I stayed here for a night while we were traveling up north. The people at front desk were fantastic, Essy (I think) was very helpful and patient with us. He also did his best to have our room early as we checked in a few hours earlier. We also had 2 lovely gentlemen meet us at the door, open the doors for us and take our bags to our room. Even had them there before we got in the rooms! I loved our room and how clean it was. Everything was clean and unstained. I must admit the minibar prices are stupidly high. If you plan on ordering breakfast through room service do so. It's very lovely and they give you a good helping for the price. We also visited Katsura for lunch and dinner. It was amazing! All in all, lovely people, service, rooms and I loved the key card entry! My partner and I even raced down the halls like children to get to the room first just to insert the card -.-
L.
We enjoyed this hotel very much. We walked to church. We walked to tour buses. Every thing was so convenient. What we loved the most was the staff. There is one in particular we must mention. Sebastian Lim was so helpful to us and once he realized this was our first visit, he caught our eye when we came through the entry. Young Sebastian was a real joy.
A.
Great hotel, I quite like it. Is not expensive for what they offer. Of course there are cheaper places but not as good as this one. The room is quite big honestly, and probably the most important thing when thinking about hotel rooms is that it has a super comfy bed, and of course, it looked super clean. If I have to recommend a hotel in Auckland, the Grand Millennium will be the one. ;)
B.
Rooms a bit dated. Aircond was noisy. On the plus side, good location, parking available on site, bed was very comfy. Simon at the front desk was very professional and accommodating.

We stay there every time we are in Auckland and as always it is exceptional. Thanks to all the staff for their professional helpful approach. Special thanks to Aurelei for her presentation and detail to service in the Club Room. Always look forward to returning.

Absolutely acceptably adequate, possibly one of the best in the CBD (I've stayed at most of them), provided you have your expectations set appropriately! Location is pretty good, the room was a decent size (had 1005), clean, tidy, and had all the standard amenities. Reception happily replaced the broken appliances, and the few blown bulbs didn't bother me. With all the nearby excellent cafes there's no reason to pay the typically excessive price for an average breakfast, so I don't hold that against the place. Likewise, the aging analog in room entertainment is really just a formality with an IMAX only minutes away. There is air conditioning, which managed to keep the room below 22 degrees while set on maximum. Some might have called the noise load, but I found the noise soothing. What the shower lacks in pressure it makes up for in temperature. Staff were very polite. A room service order of simple snack foods took 45 minutes (they obviously forgot and I had to ring back down). Luckily I had nowhere to be, and the staff were so apologetic it was hard to be angry with them! It's no Hilton, but I would probably stay again.

We stayed the xmas night and had the buffet dinner in the hotel's restaurant which was amazing. Overall, central location, cleaned and well maintained rooms, friendly staff. It was a great visit. Thank you.

Good location, fantastic staff, well maintained for such an old looking hotel. Check in was a bit disappointing with Natalie , she wasn’t very accommodating until Peter stepped in and sorted us out with a room for early check in. The floor of the elevators was always sticky!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay on 12th floor. I last stayed here when it was the Rendezvous. I always love walking into the foyer. Our room was huge and comfortable. Our meal at Katsura was excellent and the breakfast was varied and delicious. Thank you for the nice touches you provided as it was my birthday. Thank you so much.

Great place to stay. Walking distance or buses to loads of places... Civic, Sky Tower, waterfront. Clean room. Everything you cd want. Meals lovely. Breakfast great... Again any sort of breakfast you cd want. In the evening we went up to the bar. If you come across AYUSH the wait person you are in for a treat. Very attentive, sense of humour and looked after us very well. A real asset to their staff.

The special thing about this hotel is the japanese restaurant Katsura, worth the visit the sushi is amazing the salmon kitterally meltsin your mouth, the California Roll was outstanding ,highly recommended. The Staff are really friendly in the restaurant.
The hotel Staff at the reception looked very grumpy however respectful but no sense of welcoming smile .
The rooms are outdated and the pillows are ok.
Rooms are average with minimum amenities

Really nice stay, gave only 4 stars because some little details could be improved
- not the best choice of music in common areas for a classy hotel
- it's getting a bit old for little details like carpets and some style
- don't have proper locker next to the sauna
B.
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. I felt like a VIP from the moment I walked in. The staff is always extremely helpful. They got me into my room extra early, and even helped make sure I got to my tour in time.

Attended a conference June 2013 hosted at this hotel. Very enjoyable stay, the room was good, bed comfortable. Great location - easy walking distance to heaps of interesting shops and activities.
I found the breakfast buffet very nice (don't understand some reviewers complaining about the food!)

Super hotel. Great location. Lovely 'tree house' rooms in deep bush. Great facilities. Super dining. Fifteen minute walk to the beach. Steep hill might be problematic for some people.
G.
A good location, just a 3 mins walk to queen street. Nice big rooms but bit dated and old design but suffice. Great buffet breakfast at lobby level and staff are great and willing to assist.
A.
Located at the heart of the city , lively place around the hotel with stores restaurants and malls at walking distance , sky tower apptox 5 mins walk .
Good hospitality overall , very well maintained hygenie , good housekeeping and guest relations at front desk and concierge, a little more friendly approach at the breakfast buffet by the FnB team would be better.

After a small mistake in the breakfast times, the staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are in great condition and the food is very good. It's in a food location to walk to the harbour in the evening for food or just a walk
L.
Brilliant crew, great food. Did a wonderful job of looking after us in MIQ. Shame about lack of recycling facilities for guests though
S.
Wonderful place. Rooms are well fitted out view from 10th floor was great too. Staff are very good. Nice little gym and pool. . Can't go wrong.

Hotel is in a great location. Easy access to Queen Street and so many great venues in Auklend. Provides a variety of outsource activities. The rooms are clean and food is ok. But, the rooms have no vents and the TV is useless. You can't odrder anything from the room service menu during breakfast time. They are not flexible. But, the staff are really friendly and approachable. Has an indoor pool and a nice rooftop seatinf area.

I stayed at Grand Millennium Auckland for four nights and I had the best experience ever. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. Violet, a lady at the reception was a lovely lady to ask for her help and she definitely is a productive member of the staff and deserves promotion.

It's a 5 star from me.. a very clean and quiet hotel. Even though close to the police station, you barely hear the sirens. The beds are very comfy and amenities very great. The food is very delicious too. Great location because you are right in the heart of Auckjand. Very amazing... worth staying here ..

Elagant and classic 4 star hotel. This is a great place for a short stay of up to a week otherwise becomes too expensive for a much longer stay. Its is a £££. The hotel has spacious rooms (even the single and double rooms). Several complimentary services. Spa, Sauna & Swimming pool on level 4. Loved my stay!!
D.
Our room was lovely. Staff are great. Cheap parking - $20 a day. Central. Walk to everything. $8 taxi to vector or waterfront.
Breakfast could be better. Same old tired choices.

I felt like a VIP from the moment I arrived at the hotel. The staff go above and beyond, to help you in any way possible. The facilities are clean, and updated. If you're staying in Auckland, this hotel will make your stay even better.
N.
Good location just a smidgen outside of the main drag, affording you a quiet nights sleep and a short stroll to the city. The international staff are very hospitable and go that extra yard for you. There is a 20m pool and a fully kitted out gym for your delectation. Food in the restaurant is pretty tasty - I recommend the butter chicken pizza for room service. The atrium is a sight to behold, whose internal aesthetics compensate for the monstrous pink of the exterior (although the building is easy to spot because of this!).
W.
Nice hotel within easy walking distance of cbd activities, as well as Aotea Square for events/shows. Very attentive and friendly staff. Good sized rooms although the lack of a desk meant moving furniture around a bit to work from the room. Great wifi speed! Good bar and restaurant options.
W.
The Grand Millennium is well placed off the Main Street. It’s within walking distance to the ferry terminal and all the shops. The hotel staff were courteous, helpful and very friendly. Parking was also really convenient as the car park is linked directly to the hotel.
T.
The rooms are nice and big and the resort is centrally located which is great. Also the concierge staff here are amazing and really bent over backwards to help out where ever they could. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Auckland.

Went for twice.
Katsura restaurant was perfect.
However, for soup it was tasting quite good but the persley is breaking the flavour. Korean fried chicken, I thought it comes by chicken breast instead of wings.
The lady was not familiar with cutlery set up, which is the fault of the hotel's training team, must ve awared of pls.
j.
Room was very nice and location is great for walking around downtown Auckland. Came to visit for a week from US. Still on our trip and havent tried any of the food on site. Only issue has been strength/reliability of the wifi signal, other than that everything is great.
M.
Friendly staff, super comfortable, walking distance to everything. Great value for money, more than enough with the breakfast buffet. Kids enjoyed their stay, Definitely would stay again.
S.
Thank you so much for the perfect service! We could check-in early thanks to the preaparation of this hotel. ❤ Also, I could get a discount ticket of city tour bus from concierge desk. Thank you again for the nice memory kf Auckland city!
M.
large hotel, geared for business travelers, but ok for tourists as well. It has a large lobby that seemed to be used for impromptu meetings. There was a business center but I never saw anyone in it. The hotel is located in walking distance to most tourist attractions.
the hotel felt a little dated because the hallways were dark
M.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Aircon in the room was a bit noisy and couldn't be turned off but I did manage to turn it down. Nice clean room. A choice of restaurants on site made dining in the evening easy
J.
Lovely hotel, excellent rooms and very comfortable beds. Good location with easy access into and out of City and close to Auckland's Sky City. Public parking station right next door with direct access into hotel foyer. Parking was $20 per day with hotel validation.

Our family stayed 1 night at the hotel and wished we stayed for a week. Hotel staff was professional and friendly. Rooms are nice, clean and modern. It had a great view looking out into the city. The only disappointing thing was that we should have stayed longer. We would have loved to experience the hotel's restaurant and services but was busy exploring the city. The girls enjoyed the indoor heated pool with a very large courtyard/patio area. The hotel is situated in a great location with an easy quick walk to Queens Street and Aotea Square. Tip: Take the underground tunnel passage which will lead you to Aotea Square. You avoid the busy Mayoral Drive traffic/lights and the kids thinks it's great fun. We will definitely return. Many thanks - The Cherry Family
