My stay at Accor property is always relaxing and enjoyable. Sofitel team you guys doing great and Keep it up with such work. Thank you guys for accepting my request for high floor and sorry for being demanding. Thanks for making me feel special. Special thanks to Madison for great service.
S.
It was very nice I liked the water features and just everything being water there, very calm and empty, wish we could see the sky tower from where we were staying at but if u wanna look at the view u have a smaller room and will cost more for idk reasons but we had fun there nice pool and spa wish I could stay longer but the best part was the lady that came to give us our food, she was so nice and so pretty u should give her a tip for that
S.
Absolutely loved our stay here. Wonderful staff and opulent surrounds. 5*
C.
We had the best time EVER! My massage was 👏 amazing. Totally relaxing. Thankyou.
J.
Fantastic service and comfortable rooms. Can't cook a steak to save themselves but the rest of the food was bang on!
S.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel. It was a fabulous experience and I look forward to doing it again.
G.
Great hotel...even though it was quiet, it was beautifully presented, and super comfortable
S.
Everything went according to plan as I had hoped.
Only downfall was our chromecast wasn't working for the whole day and no one got back to us about it during our stay.
s.
Every single staff member was attentive and engaging. We were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Loved the attention to detail, size if the room and amenities. Enjoyed an excellent dinner in the restaurant. Special mention and thanks to Brett, Angel and Dakota for making our stay memorable. There were many others too. Highly recommend for your next Auckland getaway. The hotel is well situated .

We were greeted as treasured friends, looked after as members of the Sofitel family, and fed sumptuous food.
l.
Superb attention to detail from the minute we arrived for our stay.
We have had many years in the hospitality industry and have a deep sense of appreciation for properties which are leads in the business.
Decor, service, food all exemplary.
Not to forget the stunning pool, spa and gym area.
Thank you Sofitel Viaduct, we are already looking forward to our next oportunity to come back again.

Awesome getaway in our own back yard! A real treat! Quality and service second to none

Premium hotel on the edge of Auckland’s CBD, just sitting behind the harbour. Overall an ok experience, only a few blips of note.
Arrived around 4pm on a Friday. No concierge was present to help with bags. Not sure if they were understaffed, just seems for a not so busy hotel, they were not visible and very slow with tasks normally done with enthusiasm at other Sofitels. I had to come down to the lobby to collect my bags as the two concierge were chatting with my bags sitting next to them on a trolley.
The rooms are very spacious and well presented. I stayed in a “harbour view” suite on the 6th floor. Plenty of room, couch, sitting chairs, desk and a nice big bed. Bathroom had separate shower and bath, higher quality amenities.
There is a small kitchenette with sink, Nespresso machine and fridge.
Room service was patchy with no turn down service one evening. Not a biggy but it is part of the experience and included in the suite room rate.
My room had access to the lounge which was staffed by a friendly chap who was preempting my requests once he met me. Food is available however it’s a smaller range compared to other Sofitel lounges. (Ie 2 hot choices and some cheese and cold cuts in the evening).
Great work out area with pool and a great spa. This was perfect for warming up on the cold afternoons.
There is an onsite restaurant with pretty outrageous prices even after the Accor plus discount $45 a plate? Yea nah. The restaurant is also the breakfast room each morning. Again this is very standard hotel fare, nothing exciting and to be honest even when it is free I opted to go to some of the local cafes in waking distance.
Overall a nice hotel however I am not quite convinced it’s met the standard I have loved at Sofitel. I suspect the excellent service at Sofitel Brisbane has swayed my opinions. Overall I’d give it a 3.5 experience.

We had the set menu lunch, prawn starter was a bit mean. Snapper for the main beautifully cooked and presented. Petite fours for dessert were a perfect finish. Big applause for the espresso martini it was one of the best I've ever had.
Z.
Amazing place. Friendly staff, beautiful details and decor. Love the water feature in the middle of the hotel. Cafe serves great coffee and crepes too. Rooms are spacious and well laid out. So glad they were not a quarantine hotel. Will keep going back!
M.
Amazing stay, great staff, good gym, great restaurant!
A.
Such a wonderful hotel to spend a weekend away. Staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. Suite was luxurious and peaceful, had such a good sleep in! Breakfast was incredibly tasty with a relaxing outlook over the water. Highly recommend staying here.
J.
An awesome experience, staff very friendly and massage was sooo great!!
P.
Away on business so gave myself one night's treat. Room upgrade, afternoon tea, lovely dinner and a better bed than I have at home. And, service outstanding.
S.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and clean! Room service good too!
P.
Attended a business function here with a sit down meal. Food was great and the venue overall was very good. The sound/microphones for the event could have been better though.
K.
Comfortable bed and good view, overall a really nice hotel, the bathtub looked so inviting but didnt have time to use it, once again, loved the bed!!!
D.
Excellent hotel, Excellent staff. The best hotel in New Zealand. Very clean and modern. Very beautiful location
E.
Our favourite place by far for a quick getaway from it all.
close enough to the hustle and bustle of the city's most popular hangouts.( all within easy 5 min walking distance)...yet far enough away so you get peace and tranquility during your stay.
M.
Luxury and elegance with French flair in an outstanding location. A must stay in Auckland if you like to treat yourself
G.
It was ok but they shouldn’t have nice rooms on the side that looks out to the bus station. Couldn’t give us a nicer view, forget the room size. The facilities are ok but the pool is smaller than at Pullman. Nice service with concierge being very attentive. Room service food is very average, haven’t tried the restaurant but the food is from there so assume it’s the same. Nice little bar on the side of the building and good gym facilities. Some hallways have cracked walls and dents, but the rooms are fine. Overall not bad, but will be staying at the new Hyatt next time.
C.
Staff very caring and it was an easy place to stay
A.
Awesome location. Parking can be a bit tricky but they also have valet. Their new spa and pool is awesome a lot better than before. The new chef at the restaurant make delicious food too!
M.
Had a night here recently. Love the area, loved our room, great service, good food, nice pool. All around- excellent
A.
The place the sky city grand wishes it was impeccable service impeccable experience

We recently visited Auckland and stayed at the Sofitel Viaduct Harbour. Absolutely beautiful place with warm and friendly staff. We had booked a room facing into the building as we'd planned to be out most days. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was still a nice aspect with good light. The rooms were quite spacious and very comfortable. The weather in Auckland was atrocious so we ended up spending a bit of time in the hotel relaxing and used pretty much all the facilities including room service which was very nice. We had friends come meet us in the evening at the bar so it made for an easy way to catch up without having to brave the pouring rain. When we did manage to get a break in the weather and ventured outside we found the location to be great. Being just that little bit further away from all the hectic pace of the central city (and construction) meant we felt relaxed and glad of our choice in hotel. We found it easy to walk over to the city or waterfront without much fuss. Overall we had a great time and can't fault it. I definitely will recommend it and stay there again next time I visit (in nicer weather 😉👍)

Had lunch in the French cafe of the hotel. It was exceptional. Savoury crepe with prawns, avo, greens, lemon. Absolutely delicious. Awesome service. We are locals and recommend this cafe.

My partner booked us a hotel room at Sofitel to celebrate my 21st birthday. The staff were so lovely and completely exceeded our expectations, and made me feel so welcomed and celebrated on my birthday!
Chaz was so kind and checked us in early, giving us a voucher for welcome drinks and an upgrade for my birthday. Som gave us a tour around the hotel's facilities, she was so warm and bubbly and made us feel right at home. Later, when we returned to our room there was the sweetest note wishing me a happy birthday and a delicious!! chocolate dessert.
We didn't have a chance to use our welcome drinks voucher as we had returned to our hotel a bit late, but staff were very accommodating and Som took us to get a morning coffee and a sweet treat at the French Press cafe instead as the bar was closed in the morning. Even though we had checked out already, staff were so helpful and took care of our luggage, allowing us to go for a quick swim before heading home.
It was such a wonderful experience staying at the Sofitel, and all the facilities were so lush and inviting. I have to give another HUGE shoutout to SOM for being an exceptional staff member and making me feel so spoiled and cared for on my birthday. Som made our experience at the Sofitel 10/10 and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you Som <3

Really lovely facilities, personalized service

Stayed at the Sofitel viaduct harbour for the weekend as a little treat.
as first as I stepped in the staff are very attentive! The beds are like sleeping on clouds. My partner and I left the building to get a massage and when we got back we were left with cute little chocolate and chamomile tea with the bed made up again. The room was very clean. I enjoyed the deep bathtub and the fountain shower as well! We had the breakfast buffet and again lovely and friendly staff that were very attentive. 5/5 all rounded good service from all your wonderful staff which made the experience a wonderful weekend. Will definitely be back again.
S.
This is an excellent Sofitel and never fails to meet luxury and customer service. I stay in this hotel regularly when in New Zealand for business and the service and facilities are second to none. It has a beautiful open style lobby with fountains inside floor to ceiling glass which joins to a fantastic restaurant, the pool / spa is wonderful and always clean. The spa is great for a massage. After a long day or work or travel, this is a great hotel to unwind and relax.
S.
We had a wonderful stay at the newly refurbished Sofitel Auckland. The staff were absolutely fantastic.
The new restaurant (la maree by Marc De Passorio) was a genuine step up over the very impressive Lava Dining, which says quite a lot.
Probably the best thing about the new Sofitel Auckland was the level of service and attention offered by a very engaging staff.
We are looking forward to our next stay.
G.
A really good dining experience. Waiter knew his wines as well. Great ambience and service.
A.
Absolutely awesome place to stay. We were very lucky to be guests of the day and were upgraded to top floor. Service and staff were outstanding. We left some property in the room on check out which a staff member personally delivered to our Auckland address. This is above and beyond what we expected. Thanks so much Sofitel, we will stay again.
P.
We arrived late, and all restaurants were already closed, so we ordered in-room dining. The food was delivered quickly, and the portions were generous and very tasty. Morning breakfast buffet is very good. A little more veggies would be nice, though. Complimentary shoe shining service was a very pleasant surprise. Room was spacious and clean. Nice touches like evening tea and turn-down service added to overall experience. All in all - an extremely satisfying stay, thank you.
T.
Staff very friendly and willing to accommodate any request. The bed was extremely comfortable. Room was clean and well sized. Lovely view. Lava restaurant excellent, food delicious. The lobby was so calming, the water features beautiful. Everything well maintained.
My only slight criticism was, it was my husbands birthday and the whole stay was a complete surprise. I had requested as part of that surprise we had champagne and birthday nibbles on our arrival to our room. Unfortunately this did not happen. We did not receive this until an hour after our arrival even though I told the hotel when we would be there. I was very dissapointed in this.
M.
Good location, nice rooms, unfortunately the demolition of a building across the road was noise...and didn't appreciate the previous person's lipstick on my coffee cup particularly in these COVID times!
N.
This is Aucklands best hotel honey I cannot fault it. You step into the lobby and are no longer in the bustling city, you’re somewhere else. The standard of the rooms (I recommend upgrading to the top floor) is excellent with sleek decor, a quaint view and large bathrooms - ours had a spacious bath. Room service was efficient. Staff were very professional.
D.
We came here for our anniversary and what we received for our special occasion was nothing less than absolutely amazing. This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at and really tops the chart for great service. The whole place looked fantastic in every direction and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, very clean and pleasantly presented. Not to forget the restaurant which had food to die for and waiters that went above and beyond to meet your needs. Definitely 5 stars for everything and I cannot wait for my next stay! :) 100% reccomend this hotel!
Q.
My stay was amazing. Everything from the gorgeous room, the amazingly comfortable bed and the huge bathroom.
The turn down service was a fantastic surprise, little chocolate, a bottle of water and slippers by the bed.
Breakfast was superb - the options included were very varied.
The late night cocktails we had at the bar were served by a very friendly gentleman, and the nut platter served earlier in the evening at the bar was delicious.
The only thing I would say is the room needed a better light over the bathroom vanity for makeup :).
m.
We arrived for a birthday lunch and High Tea. Greeted and seated in the fantastic blend of stone walls and mesh curtains, sounds interesting but works well. We had the High tea and went with the Champagne option as well. the food was great, nice variety of savory and sweet. Check out the pictures, each Tier had enough for 3 people ( 2 of each item )
The cost was reasonable and quality was great.
The setting is right by the water, they have a little "lock" outside so the water in the area around the restaurant it nice and full. Just outside are some very nice Boats parked up as well.
Great high tea, would recommend.
C.
Had a 2 night staycation this past long weekend and it was our first time here. Had the best time. Room was above expectations with the most comfortable bed and the sound of the water below and outside was so peaceful and staff were so warm and friendly and always there when you needed anything. Room was spotless and every little extra is catered for from water and chocolate and chamomile tea on the nightstand to robe and slippers on the side of the bed. Already looking at next staycation and thank you so much to the awesome staff!!!
M.
Muttin dressed as lamb. Not a 5 star hotel. Loby is nice rooms are average. Enjoy the sounds of buses from the exchange next door through the single glazed windows.
k.
Ive stayed at most places in auckland and other places throughout NZ and even top notch places in thailand and this place by far had The best service ever. The rooms are also really nice. Big fan
S.
Beautiful 5 star hotel, in and out. You can definitely feel the class and service in this place.
Staff are attentive and very helpful and make you feel at home the moment you step in the doors. I loved the car valet service when I arrived, made me forget the worry of parking my car in town.
The rooms are simply divine and pamper you with a large tub and plenty of little touches that makes this place feel like heaven. Cant wait to stay again!
M.
best service ever! esp the concierge staff during our stay on 27 night. sorry forgot your name. but please pass my utmost gratitude to him. he's very prompt and took the initiative to anticipate our needs. kindly compliment him accordingly.
S.
This is good hotel for business travelers & tourists. Viaduct Harbour is in walking distance where you can find good seafood restaurants or some cafes. The room size is big with the space to get dress, make up or work. Staffs are helpful. If you love Asian breakfast or the place for shopping , this may not right for you. Shopping area is not in walking distance (for normal people)
P.
Service is very friendly, however for a 5 star hotel it was quite disorganized. The view of the room was to the inside, I've had better value for the money in larger cities (Tokyo). Example during breakfast nobody asked for coffee or something. During checkout I had the impression everything needs to be handled in a hurry. Not quite a five star impression...
C.
Cant rave about this hotel more - staff were incredible and went above and beyond. Facilities were great and the food in restaurant beautiful. Highly recommend getting the buffet breakfast with your room - loved making our own juice every morning!
R.
My husband only stayed for one night but left with nothing but good things to talk about. We stayed for my birthday, which the hotel staff were aware of and they couldn't be more amazing, with a beautiful dessert brought to our room and a lovely card from the staff to say happy birthday, all free of charge!
Any interaction we had with staff was very friendly and professional, they made the experience extra special.
We also got massages at the SO Spa which were phenomenal, we went away feeling so relaxed and they really exceeded our expectations.
The room was also immaculate, beautifully presented and the bed was really comfortable.
Highly recommend staying here. Everything is done so well, down to the final touches. Thank you for looking after us so well on our stay!
G.
I was there only for 1 night but I enjoyed the stay. I got a room on the top level so that was an added benefit. The room was large, bathroom was big and the bed was comfy. The location is great. You will have to walk a few blocks for food options or eat at the hotel. Gym was tiny and so was the swimming pool. Jacuzzi was good. The entrance the hotel is well kept and the staff is amazing. Valet is quite expensive at 45 overnight.

I have just enjoyed two glorious days at the Sofitel Auckland luxury hotel. From the moment I arrived and the bellman opened the car door and said “Good morning Ms. Farley, we have been anticipating your arrival” , to the excellent breakfast I had today and all points in between have been beyond compare. The rooms themselves are comfortable and plush, I gad a beautiful fruit bowl waiting for me that was such a nice touch. The hotel services and employees are exceptional and they make you feel so pampered and special. Highly recommend!
A.
I love this place. Rooms are first class. Food is always spectacular. The staff are always ready to serve. Conference rooms are perfect for entertaining/training. It would be nice if they had a huge dining room with a view.
N.
Stayed here for a couple nights during my wedding... Staff are very friendly, I was greeted with a smile on arrival dispite not being what I would assume their regular cliental is. Was able to leave my bags with them before check in & were taken to my room when it was free, letting me get to my wedding on time (thanks!)
Only let down was the room service meal, burger & club sandwich were tasty and warm; fries, how ever, ice cold. Bleugh.
Overall good experience, thanks for having us on our special day :)
I.
On a work trip and was booked to stay at Sofitel as it was the closest to the office. This is my first time staying at Sofitel and I was not let down!
Received a very warm welcome as soon as the taxi arrived, the staff clearly guided me where I needed to go - which was great as I did not have a clue!
I had asked if I could get an early check-in as i arrived mid morning. Not unusually they said they will try, but can not promise anything. But upon arrival they had a room ready so I could go, freshen up and unpack.
During my check-in they had asked about my visit and I had said I'll be working very late nights most of they stay, returning late in the evening or early in the morning.
Returning so late at night never was an issue, there was always someone there to warmly welcome me.
Every time I returned to my room, the curtains where closed and the lights where dimmed. There was a relaxing chamomile tea beside the bed. These little touches made the stay stand out for me!
Because of the nature of my stay I only got to use the restaurant for breakfast. The food was lovely, great coffee and again warm and welcoming staff!
My trip was been comfortable and gone so smoothly, and honestly - a lot of that is thanks to Sofitel!

My wife and I stayed at the Sofitel on our honeymoon.
When organizing the booking from Australia the staff were very helpful and even offered to upgrade our room for us free of charge as it was our honeymoon! My wife and I were ecstatic!
When we landed in Auckland and finally arrived at the hotel we were delighted with the cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff. The hotel is lovely. Modern spacious and had great amenities.
Upon arriving at our "Upgraded" room though is where we became disappointed. Because the hotel is in a U shape the best rooms are of course in the middle and on the edges facing the harbor. Unfortunately our upgraded room was on the side directly looking at the other side of the hotel. This meant that we could see directly into other people's rooms and other into ours. How this is romantic, I do not know! We didn't want to have to keep the blinds closed at all times but we didn't want people being able to see us either.
I got on the phone with the manager who said it was the best they can do unless I wanted to pay an extra $50/night to upgrade to a better room. I was under the impression this was meant to be a better room already!
I advised the manager that we weren't really very happy and we didn't really need this on the first day of our holiday. Eventually the manager agree'd that if we we happy to pay an extra $20/night we could be upgraded. As I didn't want our honeymoon to be depressing and constantly keeping the curtains closed I agree'd to pay the extra.
Our new upgraded-upgraded room was on the edge facing the harbor. Much better! The room was spacious the bed was comfy and the bath was a very generous size. The view of the harbor was also lovely. The Cafe under the hotel serves great coffee and the bar also serves nice cocktails.
We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel once we were upgraded a second time.
I would recommend the Softiel Viaduct Harbor to friends and family traveling to Auckland only if they were able to get the same type of room we did - not facing any others!
C.
We felt very welcome and valued. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay very special. The room was lovely and clean. It was my 50th birthday and you went out of your way to make it feel special. to the free drink at the bar and the special chocolate cake and birthday wishes you sent to my room after my spa treatment (which was amazing. Thank you for going out of your way, I had a fabulous weekend and I will definitely come back.
L.
We loved the calm and relaxed ambience of the hotel. The rooms were a fantastic size and the bathroom with the deep bath and rain-style shower was a wonderful surprise. The bed was so soft and comfy and the TV was a great size with excellent clarity, we were really pleased! If you stay here be sure to dine in Lava restaurant...excellent, 5 star cuisine with a great atmosphere!
L.
Had a fantastic experience from the moment we walked through the door. All the staff were very professional and polite. They listened and made an effort to make our stay personal and unique. We stayed as part of celebrating a wedding anniversary and waiting for us in our room was a thoughtful card and a yummy dessert. This will definitely be our go to hotel in the future.
S.
Staff here are very friendly and helpful, stayed here on my anniversary and they absolutely spoiled my partner and I. Had us delivered a beautifully decorated plate with cake and macarons, along with a handwritten card. The food in the restaurant is gorgeous, amazing views out of every window, and every single staff member we walked past smiled and said hello. 10/10 I don't want to stay anywhere else ever again
A.
Currently staying at the hotel for my birthday. Upgraded on arrival and had a cake and fruit waiting for us in the room, incredible! My wife organised massages for us in the spa which we thoroughly enjoyed. Location is good in CBD with a lovely view of the marina. Good bars and restaurants in the hotel and nearby.
Z.
Stayed in many hotels in the past 13 years but need to say this is the best hotel I ever stayed so far. Very professional, helpful and friendly staff. Spacious, clean and well maintained rooms. Special thanks to George at breakfast with his friendliness, always nice welcoming at breakfast. He makes my day start with a smile and I doesn’t feel so far away from home. Thank you Sofitel for all of you. Keep the good work up.
e.
Great place to go. Service & food
Great
L.
It's a five star hotel and it feels like one: room was super comfortable, well insulated and quiet, with tasteful decoration. It had its own a Nespresso machine which was a nice plus.
Service was excellent, Aurelie at reception speaks perfect English but switched to perfect French the minute she heard my accent.
A nice pool and hot jacuzzi add to the comfort of the place.
K.
It was my mothers 90th Birthday, and having come out of the depression we thought it would be nice to take her to a 5 star Hotel. We had two luxury rooms which had a connecting door, every body weather it was concierge or the waiter at breakfast, the restaurant team every one was so friendly and courteous. My daughter had booked to have her nails done absolutely Love it. Can not speak so highly of the rooms and the hotel team, are differently go to come and stay again such a beautiful stay, even the concierge remembered my name every time i had a question or just returning to the Hotel very impressed. A Great big Thank you to your Team. Sorry about all the 10's but enjoyed the stay that much, my mother rings me half a dozen times a day to said how much she enjoyed her stay, you and your team made an old lady very happy. Thank You.
K.
The hotel deserves a five. I can't think of a reason for less stars. The rooms are very clean and spacious with nice design. I liked the addition of a Nesspresso coffee machine, a nice surprise saved me having to leave the room early in the morning to get my morning Coffee, an essential for my day. All staff are friendly, helpful and polite. An overall excellent experience.
K.
When walking through the front doors into reception and all the water features came into view we felt immediately relaxed.
A Bonjour greeting was a pleasant surprise and the friendliness of the staff continued all weekend.
The bar and restaurants are great and the rooms were very comfortable, well appointed and very clean.
Our overall experience was memorable for all the right reasons and we will be coming back.
D.
Brilliant. We always get so spoilt when we stay at Sofitel hotels. Having an Accorplus card is an extra bonus. The service was first class, nothing was too much trouble. The personal welcoming letter from the Manager was a lovely touch. The breakfast was excellent and the Dinner Meals also very good. One very small suggestion. We had no shampoo in the room on the first two days and I had to ask for it. (there were two shower gels) Would highly recommend your hotel. Thank you so much for making our stay so relaxing and pampering.
N.
Enjoyed our stay so much. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Even celebratory complimentary cake for our anniversary and drinks. Awesome facilities. Our favourite was Lava dining. The meals were nothing short of exceptional. We will be back.
W.
Amazing hotel with amazing staff. We stay every year for our anniversary and this year upon arrival were upgraded in our room and complimentary breakfast. The hotel rooms are massive with great bathrooms. We just love staying at the Sofitel Auckland as its so close to great restaurants and the staff make you feel so special. Cant wait to go back.
N.
I could not fault the service or the property in any way. Attention to detail was at its best. The room service and food was excellent. The staff were polite and very prompt delivering extra toiletries. The decor in the room was sublime and the view of the viaduct basin and Sky Tower was incredible. I would highly recommend staying at the Sofitel for a world class experience.
T.
Was just sight seeing while passing by Sofitel Luxury Hotel off Halsey st and Viaduct Harbour Ave.."that I thought I'd capture a photo of it being so close to the water edge of the harbour being pretty much our own riveria in our backyard where all the sailing boats hangout at their moorings from their owners or just hanging out in the Hotels restaurants that are dotted around the basin harbour.
Y.
Experience the very best of modern luxury at Sofitel Auckland, here you can indulge in a decidedly chic encounter that combines the spirit of our Viaduct Harbour location with the French Art de Vivre.
Sofitel offers tailor-made services and splendid facilities that are stylish and cosmopolitan. Authentic and lively culinary experiences in La Maree by Marc de Passorio, soothing wellness journeys in Sofitel Spa, and exquisitely designed spaces that exude chic design with a hint of the French touch. good location
M.
We found that it was wonderful, the staff was very conscientious and professional, room was lovely with a soft comfortable bed and a very clean environment. The bathrooms were modern and the facilities were well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and efficient and as we checked out the car valet parking was available as soon as we requested. The food was lovely at breakfast and the hotel is located close to all amenities and a good entertainment district.
D.
Great hotel. Staff are helpful but were not understanding when we were trying to book our friends into their hotel room on their wedding day. We wanted to set it up for them with their permission but the staff would not allow us in the room. I guess it is for security, but we had the explicit permission of the occupants on their wedding day so a little discrection would have been good. Overall hotel is great.
Y.
As a card holder of this hotel it is the best
Great true french pastries
Staff fantastic join accor plus awesome benefit you wont be sorry 👍
A.
We went for brunch provided for free as part of our membership everything was included so it cost us nothing including drinks. We had a couple of service issues with dishes being incorrectly provided or prepared but the food itself was very good on the whole. It's a lovely setting and nice atmosphere with friendly staff. I would recommend and return.
T.
Best Hotel in Auckland, why? -
- Grest location in the heart of Auckland with plenty of good restaurants close by!
- Excellent service, especially the front office staff (very kind and helpful);
- Well appointed modern rooms - love the sofitel beds, best sleep ever;
- Gym with a decent range of equipment and 20m heated indoor pool;
- They also have a small cafe attached to the hotel which had great coffee and breakfast
c.
Service and Staff 5 stars. Food 4 stars. Very nice presentation. Came with 2 sides and a dessert. Great value.
E.
The hotel sits on the bay with exceptional views. Every employee treated us with the best hospitality. There were many things to do in walking distance from the hotel. Around the bay, there are bars, restaurants, and shops that kept us busy. Of course there were plenty of outside activities that we planned. The hotel concierge assisted with making sure our pick-up times were coordinated during our stay.
D.
Unfortunately we arrived later than we were planning (airline delays). Had a fabulous stay (except for the view of the Microsoft office from our room), but everything else was a plus. Bed and pillows amazing as were the staff. Very pleasant dining experience, both for dinner and breakfast. Would highly recommend.
P.
This is probably the best hotel in Auckland!!! From the time we arrived everything was taken care of professionally. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the marina view room had a great view and was exceptionally clean.
Well done & thanks.
We are going to try the new So Sofitel next.
J.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. The hotel was immaculate and have the most comfortable beds. The spa was lovely and had very friendly beauticians. This was the perfect nights stopover before heading off to our wedding. A very enjoyable stay and we will certainly return again.
T.
The Sofitel is an elegant hotel, with very courteous staff. The restaurant was delightful, amazing food and the servers were exceptional and attended our every need.
M.
what a wonderful stay. beds were comfortable. food excellent. service impeccable. Careem helped to wash my bike wheels after the triathlon . a beautiful presentation at breakfast and card was amazing. the welcome cake for our anniversary was a lovely touch.
the only minor negative was that the children room was in fact larger than our room ( which should have been the other way around as we paid for them)
additionally we booked originally on points but this was cancelled as we changed the dates and it was confusing to printout vouchers. Only minor details.
L.
Where to begin.
The room (junior suite) was amazing .. a jaw dropping view of both the marina and internal water views.
Every staff membe would greet us with a smile and "bonjour". Even the people staying at the hotel where beautiful.
Honestly, I was going to book the hilton just based on the views but when I went to check it out it looked tacky whereas sofitel was luxurious in all rooms even the cheaper ones.
Sunny who brought up room service noted it was my sisters 30th so he brought up a cute little cake for her. Best room service I've had. Tell him he did an amazing job and I'm sorry we don't carry cash otherwise I would've given him a good tip.
Keep at it .. it is a stunning hotel.
L.
I loved this hotel. The rooms, the staff, the facilities were all wonderful.
I have to make special mention of Amy at the Front Desk and Jackie (from Samoa) in Housekeeping who were both polite, efficient, professional, engaging and the epitome of top-notch service.
The rooms are large, the beds are divine and the bathroom beautifully appointed. The shower has fantastic water pressure, and a relaxing 30 minutes in the bath was wonderful at the end of a long day of business. It's also wonderful to come back after dinner and find the turn-down service has freshened the room and prepared the bed for you to sink into.
For a 5-star hotel, the room service menu is actually surprisingly well-priced and also has a lot of variety.
Breakfast is excellent with a large range of cold and hot buffet options as well as cook-to-order dishes. You won't leave to start your day hungry!
The gentlemen working at the Concierge Desk were helpful, service-orientated and a pleasure to deal with.
My only two small points of negativity are that the TV in my room was on a really strange right-angle to the bed and it couldn't be watched whilst in bed. The TV couldn't be swung around either and I found this a strange place to put it.
The second point is that the hotel takes $100 / day "holding deposit" when you check in. I understand the hotel needs security, but when other Sofitel hotels (such as Melbourne) put $1 on the card it really is a little annoying. The hotel has the credit card details, so why is so much needed? Most other hotels are happy with $1 these days, I wish all hotels would fall into line. This $300 is sitting sitting on my card as "pending" (read: unusable) and it's 4 days since I checked out of the hotel. Not really good enough and this policy should change to be more convenient for guests.
The location of the hotel is lovely and is only a short 15 minute stroll to the downtown CBD and 10 minutes to the great restaurant and bar area of Princes Wharf, but it's very restful and quiet. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely 5-star property in Auckland. I would like to return, check in for a weekend, not leave and shut-out the world for 72 hours. This hotel would be perfect for that!
j.
Icannot speak highly enough of our stay at your hotel. Your personnel went beyond the measure...from the front desk to the concierge to the franchises around you. The meals , the Spa and the help we received would have to rate as one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Also the room and the cleanliness and the quality ...well we loved it.
Thankyou Sofitel...you deserve this accolade. warmest regards Ken and Jill
K.
We had a really great time at the Sofitel. All the staff we encountered were cheerful, helpful and pleasant. The room was well laid out and very comfortable. If I was to find any fault (and I'm struggling) is the bathroom light switch is on the outside of the bathroom meaning it was hard to go discreetly at night without lighting up half of the room. Also it would be nice if the sound system had Bluetooth connectivity. Those however are both very minor things and would not in the slightest dissuade me from going back.
K.
My stay was absolutely brilliant. The service from as soon as I entered the door to the time I left, was very welcoming and helpful. All staff members were polite and always had a smile on their face, they catered to all my needs. The facilities were brilliant and very luxurious, I highly recommend. The only negative throughout my stay was the parking as they had no on site parking, other than $45 valet.
S.
Very nice looking place. Had high tea there. Friendly staff made the experience all the more enjoyable.
N.
We had a lovely time, love the bed, thoroughly enjoyed the setting, and the spa, and the valet parking. We had a coffee downstairs for breakfast (dont like nespresso) and should have chosen the cafe rather than the dining room it would have been quieter. But the view was lovely
J.
Fantastic hotel. Welcoming and friendly team. Highly recommended. Great location. Awesome breakfast.
F.
Nice location. Accomodating and helpful staff. Except for one bad experience we had- some of our food stuff ( chocolate packs, Arnotts cookies, a pack of pistacchio nuts, Moconna coffee pack) bought from the supermarket were stolen from the room. We stayed at room 403 Aug 9-13, 2018. These items were in a plastic bag placed inside a carry on bag and the others inside the cabinet. It was reported to the duty manager but until the last day we stayed no updates or result of their investigation given to us. I left my email add to the front desk staff but no answer yet on my complaints. Please employ HONEST PEOPLE ONLY in your company. Hope this event would not happen to your other clients. This experience may involve small things only but how about if more expensive stuff will be lost inside the "supposedly safe room/ hotel?
M.
Such a beautiful setting.
Room is cosy & comfortable;also very clean & tidy.
Terrific service all round.
The staff are friendly, helpful without being over-the-top.
Can't recommend Sofitel enough.
Thank you Sofitel for a awesome stay.
We will definitely be back.
P.
Polite, professional and friendly service. Lovely room and the most comfortable bed of all the hotels I stayed at in New Zealand.
Two very small matters - there was a lot of items on the vanity bench that didn't leave much room for my own toiletries. Also the powerpoint beside the bed where I wanted to charge my phone was awkward to get to. these are small things. The quality of the room was excellent.
A.
We found the check in a bit slow. As we arrived late 230 and our room wasn't ready. The room was very nice, good condition and clean. It was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast although tasty, was poorly timed, so my husband had completely finished his meal before my son and myself even received ours.
L.
My husband brought me here for my birthday the staff here were exceptional. I had a gorgeous birthday cake waiting for us in our room, we then dined at the Lava restaurant and the Chef spoilt us and served me a special birthday dessert. As well as having a luxurious room with a gorgeous view the staff at the Sofitel definitely know how to make you feel like a VIP. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to have a luxurious night or weekend away.
M.
Excellent experience from check-in to checkout. Even when I checked out at 3:15am the staff where up beat, exceptionally friend and willing to help. Rooms are fantastic and one of the only places I've been to where the desk was the right height for me. Location was great for what I needed, but might not suit everybody. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.
A.
The hotel and it's amenities was absolutely impeccable. The bar, the pool, the staff, all fantastic. The only thing that was lacking were some important room details. The Bed was only a Queen, which when paying a high price hotel is too small. The TV was in an awkward position where it could only be swivelled to be seen half from the couch or half from bed. It's these little things that make a huge difference in a stay.
The final thing I'd mention is that the toilet is in the same room as the bathroom. Not always ideal for a romantic stay.
M.
Amazing!! Stayed here for 3 nights and couldnt fault anything. From the girls in the cafe, to the concierge, reception and team in Lava! Thank you again for looking after my children, the little soft toy was such a special touch.
A.
Loved the bed, room and location. Service at check in and concierge excellent, however service in bar was very average on evening of Monday 2nd Oct. There was very little interaction we had to ask for further drinks after first order, we decided to stay and have casual dinner, food was great, however table left uncleared, we had to ask for more drinks we were basically left alone all evening.
G.
Very nice hotel with comfortable beds and excellent customer service. There are some great restaurants and bars just a quick walk away. I would give it 5 stars except that their wireless internet kept cutting out on us. Beyond that, we would stay there again.
D.
Love staying here. very comfortable.... great meals, friendly, professional service.
S.
Everything done to perfection. Loved the friendly atmosphere and the room was superbly comfortably. Love the big TV. The bedside lights on and chocolate on the pillows on our return was a lovely touch. We also loved having a nice clean windscreen for our trip home.
T.
Very comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. I do wish however there was more lighting in the room. I had to keep the block out blinds down most of time for privacy as it was easy for people to look into the room. Other than that loved my stay at Sofitel.
M.
Fabulous, knowledgable service. Had drinks in Club Millésime before dinner in the restaurant. Food was superb. Friendly, professional staff. Highly recommend.
J.
We were celebrating a wedding anniversary which the hotel acknowledged very nicely with a special treat of a beautifully presented piece of chocolate cake waiting in our room when we arrived. The team are all extremely pleasant & friendly but given the different nationalities, sometimes difficult to understand to the untrained Kiwi ear. However all in all a very pleasant stay & we look forward to a return visit in the future.
T.
We upgraded to the Harbour view room and it was well worth it. The rooms are large clean and spacious. The staff are everything you'd expect from the Sofitel brand. Location is excellent, just far enough away to be quiet but an easy walk around to the ferry terminals and town.
J.
The best sofitel we've been to in the world. Love the decor and rooms. But most of all awesome staff. The chief concierge Chris mosch went up and beyond his way to help us. The other younger concierge was also very friendly and helpful. Would come and stay again if I ever visit Auckland.
S.
LOVED IT!! My wife and I have agreed we would go to Sofitel Auckland on our wedding anniversary every year and it does not disappoint one bit..!! All the staff are so courteous and go the extra mile to meet your every need. If you haven't been here, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the experience..!!
B.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like valued guests. It was my husbands birthday and they acknowledged that at check in and also provided a surprise birthday cake in the room. We dined at Lava on site and they also acknowledged Michael's birthday. All the staff were friendly and accommodating and we were sad to leave.
S.
Welcome was lovely but can't say the same about the checkout as they locked us out of our floor after 12pm when we had confirmed checkout at 3pm. Cleaning staff stood outside the door and haggled us to leave. Felt like we were chased out when we had the additional time confirmed by the reception. Communication between the Departments could be a lot better instead of bothering the guests. Great room nevertheless. French luxury at its best
B.
Good Room in a well positioned hotel in the viaduct. Friendly staff offer great service.
A very very minor miscommunication frustration when booking the room. First, I got the feeling that the person on the phone didn't understand that I wanted to book the room after being denied using our complimentary night, so I rang back and she hadn't made the booking, so she took care of that no problem.
Checked in on line before arriving, but at the desk on arrival, the person on reception couldn't find the booking until I showed her the ref number on my phone. Also not a big problem and both staff were very professional and courteous.
The rest of the experience was extremely good.
L.
I enjoyed my stay, very much, Room beautiful, had all I needed, loved having the bed turned down, and chocolate's left on the bed. Nice touch.
Perfect location. Beautiful view. Will definitely be returning at some at stage. Yours will be my first choice of accommodation when I stay in Auckland next. Very satisfied. Thank you.
C.
This was my first stay at the Sofitel Auckland and I must say that my experience was a great one. From the spacious and comfortable room to the amazing breakfast, to the extremely friendly, professional and attentive staff, everything was flawless. It was a magnificient stay and the next time that I am in Auckland, I will definitely stay there again!
D.
We stayed in a harbor view suite for a few days in early January. I thought it would be a view of the harbor but it was actually a view of several slips and a lot of other rooms in the hotel and an adjoining condo building. The room itself was very comfortable. Service was great as was the food.
P.
Fantastic, found staff extremely friendly & helpful. Fashion Week was an extremely busy time, & they took care of bags, tickets and went above and beyond on all requests. rooms service was quick, the food was delish and the amenities and rooms were all pristine. I would definitely stay here again.
E.
Very good stay. Great food, great service in the boardroom and lovely spa. Hotel is beautiful, but always ssoooo cold! Couldn't warm up, except in the restaurant.
The bedroom also don't have any additional blankets, which is a shame. Had to raise the temperature to high but then had a terrible sleep...
C.
Perfectly situated, super friendly staff and extremely accomidating. If you want to treat yourself in Auckland, this is the place to be! It has everything you need and more, not a bad gym, pool and large sized rooms with some good views depending on room location Howeverr, some good things come at a price tag and this is one of them, so make sure you have plenty of time here from check in to check out so you can enjoy the experience
A.
The check-in and check out was very seamless. The staff are very helpful and friendly, in addition to helpful services available, I leveraged dry cleaning of my sports coat which was brought back to me on the same day. I would certainly stay here again and will recommend any colleagues who happen to be in the area.
H.
We had a fantastic weekend, it was so nice to be given a double upgrade for our stay, we love the Sofitel and will stay here every chance we get. Staff are always amazing and the food is just awesome. As an Accor Plus member we always feel a bit special. Love it !!
P.
Everything was great except for the unanswered calls in the morning to the one touch service, room service and reception. Wasn't a biggie but it is a five star hotel. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the jacuzzi. Loved the lobby and the hotel's accessibility to bars and restaurants. I would definitely come back here.
F.
These guys must treat their people very well. Sweet little water view in a medium sized room, with generous bath and shower facilities. Treatment by the staff?, par excellance, prompt, accommodating and relatable. Would defs recommend, best staycation/anniversary.
B.
Check in was very simple and easy, staff very courteous and helpful. The MyBed was out of this world - so comfortable... Location was the key reason we booked the Sofitel as it is close to the Viaduct Harbour and many restaurants in the Tank Farm location - highly recommend Marvel Bar & Grill a 5 minute walk away. The benefits of being a Le Club member are worth it as well. Thanks we are back at the end of July for another night.
G.
Very comfortable - the only room criticisms concern poor lighting (as seems to be the custom with most hotels!!), and a casual two seater lounge would have been appreciated.Staff were obviously highly trained and very friendly. Lack of nearby eating alternatives a little disconcerting (within a reasonable walk)
D.
Really great hotel. Excellent location, rooms are large and comfortable (bedding and towels are top
quality) and great service. Would definitely return!
N.
Firstly the rooms and facilities are outstanding and can't really be faulted. However there were two things that could have made my stay more memorable. Firstly i waited for 15min before someone severed me at breakfast and it wasn't because the restaurant was full! The second point i would make is the noise that you can hear in your room. My room was on level four and across the Road from the bus terminal. This made sleeping impossible from 4.30am in the morning, in which wasn't pleasant to say the least! With a hotel of this level you would expect much better sound deadening/insulation. I was told at the time of checking in that I had been allocated a premium suite (which you pay a premium price for), so it would be fear to say you would slightly higher exceptions. I've stayed at the Sofitel many-times, but haven't been in a room on that side of the building and hope that I never am again!
S.
I had a six day stay. By day 3 I felt like family. Friendly staff who at times seemed to read my mind, beautiful breakfast and great guest amenities. Terrific on-site gym, pool, steam room! Your Auckland facility is top notch.
M.
I got upgraded and it was super lovely. Well appointed rooms and just my kind of comfy bed. I enjoyed an hour long spa session, and it was right up there with the best. Nothing wanting on this stay.
D.
This sofitel is great!! Rooms are awesome, views are awesome. Food was awesome, and the breaking was even better. Breakfast is a buffet, but off the menu, so you can order has much as you want off the menu, but pay the fixed fee. Was a little confused when I first arrived.
Y.
Our first experience with Sofitel. We went there for a full massage and to enjoy spa. First of all, every single staff were kind and it was the best customer service in New Zealand. I would say world wide. They are those people who truely enjoys their work and to greet and treat from their heart.
Massage was so not that strong but with relaxing scent and amber lights, it was just perfect to relax and forget about the world. It was around 7pm when we visited. After massage, we got to enjoy spa until they closed at 10pm! No time limits and it was a truely relaxing experience that I would recommend anyone who wishes to try spa/massage.
J.
As I usually get to this hotel at 1am in the morning after the trip out from Sydney, it has fabulous rooms with queen bed, lots of different types of pillows and great desk facilities. Love the bathroom equiped with not just large rainshower but a huge bath and the most fluffy towels. The concierge and desk staff know who you are and all very service orientated. As a colleague and I have discussed, its in our pick of Sofitel's in Australia and New Zealand for service and aspect.
K.
It is one of the best hotels in auckland. Right by the water front and close to all the restaurants. Really good view and the room is quite spacious. Very enjoyed our stay. It could be 10/10 if we didn't see a cockroach in the bathroom.
W.
Excellent location and friendly staff
W.
Tried the Spa & Gourmand package for our anniversary - awesome amenities & service 🤩🤩🤩
W.
The rooms were spacious and the windows allowed a lot of natural light to enter the room. The bathroom was large and consisted of double basins and separate bath and shower. Hotel is located not far from the city centre. Would recommend this hotel if staying in Auckland.
R.
Fabulous in just one word!! Lovely staff, wonderful upgrade (thankyou very much!!!) and great birthday. Exceptionally clean. Very comfortable bed and beautiful crunchy sheets! We will be back next month, and the one after that!
Kind Regards, Trish
L.
It's a beautiful hotel at a good location. Good breakfast. I'm really not sure what the architect has been thinking with inward facing rooms though, not private at all. However, other room types are available.
R.
Easy stay, fast customer service with the front desk happy to hold our bags after check out for the whole day.
Beautiful views but a little open in terms of privacy in each room as there are floor to ceiling windows with street view.
S.
Warm welcome from the second I arived. Check in was quick and easy and I was in my room within 10 minutes. It was a one night stay only and I only spent sleeping time in the hotel.
The one negative was the glass wardrobe doors were covered in hanprints at a lower level on the door.
P.
The Sofitel Viaduct Auckland was great. Our room looked over the harbour and city including Sky Tower. Room was fantastic. Good size, great bed, big TV, Sky, awesome shower.
Staff couldn't do enough for us and we enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant and the gym.
Location was fantastic and we walked to Viaduct Harbour for drinks and Baduzzi Italian Restaurant for dinner. Loved it!
B.
Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, made for a very relaxing stay
A.
Beautifully appointed hotel with staff who couldn't do enough for you. A special mention for Fane Situati who is the best and most efficient event organizer we have ever come across. All of the dining experiences were first class and the hotel deserves its five star status.
K.
To have the breads and cheese flown in from France every week at an unbeatable waterfront location with a backwater kind of feeling or if you take the water facing table then for a Venice like experience, you should come here at least for a breakfast for a start. Excellent service and impeccable interiors of the lava stone walls.
J.
Lovely hotel. Only weird thing is there are no power points in the bathroom. Apart from that pretty faultless. I really loved the option of the breakfast cafe at normal cafe rates rather than being forced to eat at the hotel restaurant.
J.
The extra little touches were so nice, and appreciated very much.
Staff were extraordinary, room was beautiful and luxurious.
Food was perfect tasting and beautifully presented.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
S.
Beautiful clean rooms. Quiet. Very friendly, helpful staff. Locality excellent. Very short walk to shops, restaurants, transport. Breakfast choices amazing and fresh.
One small negative, love the deep soaking bath but no bathsalts or similar provided in the toiletry items.
N.
Lovely venue. We ate in the new La Maree restaurant. The food was wonderful. Service was great and the setting was perfect.
J.
Where to start? well I don't know, all I know is myself and my partner enjoyed Sofitel to the T, and is was well above expected. From the outside it can be deceiving as most hotels tower into the sky, but don't be deceived, this is flash as they come. Awesome staff, they were all lovely and the guys doing the cars were just tops. If you're going out for a night in the town, or just want a getaway from it all (like we did) this is a great place for it. We also though the pricing was more than reasonable for what you get, surely there will be some whining buggers about costs and everything possible, but reality speaking it's actually very good. We will be back as soon as we can! Thanks for having Rogue One on the movie list too! that was just gold after dinner!
H.
the check in and out was great.
I was disappointed the fruit platter was never replenished.
I got a dirty plate with fruits stay for 2 days in the room when the room was available for room service.
Great sauna! the gym is a bit small for such a big hotel .
A.
For a quality business hotel with little in the way of character, it is hard to fault. Well located, well designed rooms, fabulous bathrooms, decent gym, good and not grossly overpriced breakfast. Wifi works on multiple devices but is limited to 500mb total per day.
H.
Stayed at so Sofitel Auckland on my wedding night and they were accomodating with a complementary upgrade and bottle of sparkling wine in the room!
It was well appointed and designed - with great facilities and a high quality fit out.
A.
Outstanding!! There was not a single staff member we had an issues with. All staff where beyond friendly and helpful with bags bring our car around. Thank you. The grounds where stunning. Will stay here again.
C.
Check in service great
Room luxury w internal water view 315 very disappointing as there is no water view! Needed to pay $75 for upgrade to 512 with proper water view without apologies- I think it's bad marketing to say it's with internal water view
During day good service
Night ordered room service cake which took more than half an hour to serve
At check out and car service the bass was left at the entrance instead of in our car so got a call 10 min later saying we should come back as they forgot to give the luggage properly
K.
One of our best hotel stay, definitely luxury comfort. Love the room, bed is absolutely comfortable. Nathan from Concierge is outstanding!
k.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and I cannot recommend a much better place to stay than Sofitel Auckland. The GRM Mr. Salman was fantastic and the concierge Mr. Kareem were really friendly people and provided us a positive stay throughout.
T.
From the moment we hopped out of the car and was greeted by the valet staff we knew this was going to be special. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Sofitel helped make it an unforgettable weekend.
The service was 1st class and the facilities were mint, looking forward to going back if we ever get the chance.
L.
Beautiful hotel. Staff are so welcoming and eager to talk to you. Facilities are fantastic, views to inside water feature are beautiful. Location is fantastic.
L.
I was treated so well by all the staff that it was a total treat to stay at the Sofitel Viaduct Hartbour. Sam was great on Reception and I was particularly impressed by people on the housekeeping team AND the Concierge Desk. Everyone was so polite and helpful, especially when I had to store my luggage prior to leavingl!
M.
Lovely place in beautiful setting. Our room was well appointed, reasonably spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very good with great service.
T.
The staff were very friendly but didn't understand the need for French greetings in New Zealand.
Great facilities all kept immaculately.
Thank you for making our honeymoon stopover in Auckland so special.
L.
Celebrated my wifes 60th she had a wonderful time loved the Hotel and the extra fuss they made for her.
Beautiful rooms lovely boutique feel extremely high standard world class.
W.
Such a nice experience. Treated like I was special. Room turn down service was unexpected extra. Lovely staff. Great food. Nice surroundings - really great set up.
V.
The staff were fantastic - from the greeting on arrival at the valet parking, to the reception staff and the polite and friendly cleaner in the hallway. Nothing was too much effort. The room was quiet, spacious and well appointed.
D.
A wonderful anniversary night away at the Sofitel. Special treat in the room and the extras like bath salts and sleep spray were appreciated. Highly recommended. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for!
G.
Pricey, but wonderfully located, with an always helpful staff. It is worth paying the little bit extra for a room overlooking Viaduct Harbor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
T.
Sofitel Viaduct is by far the best hotel in Auckland (only competition would be deBrett). The bathrooms are better than any hotel in the city. I love that they have separate showers and bathtubs. Even the cheapest room is big enough to feel comfortable and the location is close to the action but far enough to be calm.
S.
This was the hotel I went to on my honeymoon.
The service was great and the room was magnificent. Breakfast was superb quality and the concierge were super helpful. Best hotel I've been to yet!
A.
Superb accommodation with exceptional service from Jeremy and Israel. A truly polished team at the Sofitel, excellent attention to detail. A sophisticated, relaxing place to stay. Unrivalled in Auckland....
S.
Our stay was excellent . right from when we arrived ,to when we left .the room was fabulous , service was top notch , even the array of goodies they gave us for our wedding anniversary .
Overall , great to place to stay , cant wait to come back
L.
Wonderful, tasty selection of ingredients, fresh taste, great colour and presentation. They do a $30 lunch which includes bread, a main and a dessert all in smaller portions so you can try a range of things without spending over $30.
Will definitely go here again!
v.
Currently my favorite hotel in the world! You can't go wrong with the Sofitel chain, but the staff at Auckland Viaduct Harbour go above and beyond. I'm pretty sure they read minds.
A.
Hotel aesthetic was absolutely amazing. Reception and concierge staff were most helpful. Room was in great condition, and overall it was a great experience. Would definitely stay here again
S.
Top notch service satisfying a range of requests and questions. Excellent comfortable rooms. Wonderful location. You can't go wrong just try to book well in advance to get a reasonable rate as your is pricey.
J.
Great hospitality from Israel, Careem and John, all of whom made us feel royally welcome. Plus the room is lovely, comfortable, and equipped with an overhead shower with instant access to hot water. We'll be back.
C.
Very nice Hotel, food, bar etc. Decor is beautiful with the addition of flowers and loads of candles at night. Great staff. A very beautiful room on the top floor with a good view. Easy walk into the city.
H.
The standard for high tea in Auckland
It might not be a well known fact that Sofitel offers High Tea at a price significantly more affordable than its rooms, but that's the way the people in the know like it! Because this is a tucked away gem.
The tea selection is not your typical pick, offering you something extra to try and love. The food is plentiful, varied and more than enough to satisfy a hungry appetite.
Unlike others, they offer a coffee as well as the tea to finish off the complete high tea experience.
High tea of this quality at this price is yet to be matched in Auckland.
Tip:
Ask for a window side table to enjoy the sun.
N.
Staff are always friendly and the rooms are gorgeous! Money well spent here!!
C.
If you want to be treated like royalty and have the best views in Auckland, this is the place to be. Located right at the end of the Viaduct Harbor, it is an easy walk to all the best places in Auckland Central. Need a massage? They have one in house. Need a good place to eat? Their Cafe is delightful.
S.
The service was amazing and very professional even for the shirt time I was there. The bathroom was splendid with an amazing shower and a bath big enough for a giant. The view while not being spectacular was very nice on a beautiful auckland day.
J.
Very professional and courteous staff. Room was a decent size with a great shower. The hotel is very modern and cool. The service from Valet parking to checking out was excellent.
J.
Great service, excellent Auckland sky tower view from our room and a walking distance to major establishments in the CBD area.
T.
The Sofitel in Auckland is a brilliant hotel. Service went above and beyond what I anticipated, the decor was beautiful and the rooms wonderfully appointed. The Lava Restaurant is also a definite recommendation for any guests
J.
This was room 424. I was in 524 and no issue earlier in the week. Bed in 424 was very uncomfortable. I would be surprised if no one has complained about this before.
i only write this to improve your service even higher but coffee did not turn up with dinner that i ordered. :) very minor.
I also have to call the maid outside as ordering movie from handset was a problem. it wouldnt let me select the movie menu so someone has this fixed. Again minor
But the bed , that was not good. A foam box construction where it provided little support. Hope you guys can look at that for other guests. :)
R.
Simply QUALITY.
We stayed as Le Club Members and the only disappointment was the Club Discounts were not available for dinning.
Your Staff were - without exception - OUTSTANDING - well done to them and Management.
j.
My daughter and I recently had High Tea at The Sofitel in Auckland. It was beautifully served in a lovely setting. The one thing that spoiled the whole effect were the heavy, clumsy looking cups that tea and coffee were served in. They were nothing like the website shows. It would not be hard to change the cups and saucers for nicer ones, far more appropriate for High Tea. Such a shame.
J.
Every aspect of our stay was superb from friendly staff, to spacious stunning rooms,. Every staff member had a smile and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
A.
Wonderful hotel and friendly helpful staff. So peaceful and quiet
J.
Wonderful Valentine's day dinner. Excellent food and wine pairings. Dining room opened up to overlook the boats in the viaduct providing a very south of France dining feel. Well done.
W.
Very nice and comfortable hotel, located close to the Viaduct which is great for eating options. All staff are very welcoming and polite and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. Hotel facilities are great, although the hotel bar could be larger. Overall always a great experience at this hotel.
R.
Wonderful, the hotel lived to all expectations. Really quiet spot away from the craziness of Viaduct Harbour but only a short walk over there. Easy access in and out of the city via Uber to appointments.
J.
Great room, fantastic customer service. Was my wife's birthday and the treats in room on arrival were a lovely surprise, thank you. All staff were very polite and helpful.
D.
Luxury PLUS! Outstanding hotel (I love being greeted with, "Bonjour"), everything was tip top from check-in, to the valet, room service, lightening-fast internet and continental breakfast. I would definitely stay again.
L.
Staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. Room service meal was probably the best room service I've ever had at any hotel around the world. Will be back!
L.
A good place for a conference... Staff, service and the lunch, great...
J.
Great location. Lovely staff and spacious room. Swimming pool and spa well set up.
M.
Beautifully renovated hotel. Sumptuous meals and very friendly and helpful staff!
R.
Great experience. Nice hotel, food and staff
R.
Loved the room and service but a bit poor on room service. Staff forgot bread, coffee was cold and omelet was poor. Also, you guys should talk to room service staff to wait in the hallway and not just enter the room.
J.
Great staff, nice hotel, great location. The room had a very small bed, the heating and cooling system is very outdated and didn't work well. Pillows were hard and not luxurious.
N.
We enjoyed our stay special mention to Shem and Brett who where awesome to us we will definatley be returning
D.
all good except I was put into a 25 sq metre room when my booking specifically asked for and was given a 35 sq metre one. I had specifically asked for a king bed room (as with my previous stays) but was told this request was not made (I know it was because I made it ) .
I was then moved by choice to a larger room - not a marina view but was still changed the marina view rate !! As an Accor Plus member - this was disappointing to say the least
P.
IT WAS VERY PLEASANT. WE ENJOYED HAVING BREAKFAST AT YOUR HOTEL ONE MORNING, WE ALSO HAD DINNER AT THE BAR A COUPLE OF NIGHTS, AND HAD VERY DELICIOUS COFFEE AND BREAKFAST ALMOST EVERY DAY THAT WE STAYED AT YOUR HOTEL IN THE CAFE THAT IS IN YOUR PREMISE.
AND. . . THE VERY FRIENDLY CONCIERGES WHO SO GRACIOUSLY HELPED US TO LOCATE A STORE WHERE WE WERE ABLE TO BUY-REMARKABLE CHOCOLATE BARS ON OUR WAY TO THE AIRPORT. IT WAS OUR LAST DAY TO GET TO THE STORE WHERE WE COULD BUY THIS DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE.
THANK YOU!
THE ISHAMS.
O.
This was our honeymoon and first time in New Zealand. We were very pleased by the concierge, John, who was helpful and very respectful. The hotel was clean and offered amenities that were took advantage of.
A.
All staff were polite, courteous and friendly particularly at reception and when dining.
Room was of a high standard and clean. This was our second stay and are already looking forward to our next.
A.
Internet poor. You are a top hotel. Just give me internet for as many devices as I have and need. Don't limit it.
If it worries you so much charge me $5 more on the room rate, but leave it alone, unlimited and with as many devices as I want. It's terrible in this age you control it when we pay so much
M.
Beautiful modern hotel located at Auckland viaduct. Large rooms and super comfy beds. Breakfast at Lava Dinning is a real joy specially when you start the day with bubbly! Best rooms are north facing overlooking the waterway.
R.
Quality hotel on waterfront
Great views
A.
Nice location and clean hotel. Good stay. Large room and bathroom. Very friendly staff. Breakfast buffet are great. No complaints. 10min walk to skycity
z.
All is well. Had a great experience. We are from Asia and on a business trip. We were supposed to be booked at stramford or sky city but both were fully booked by that time. May21.
But i'd say its a blessing in disguise.
There is a free unlimited nesfresso and twg tea leaves. If you are a coffee or tea addict, then this ones for you. Food at the Lava is great esp the lamb. There are many asian staff staff who were very mindful of our stay. Helpful in everyway even for our itinerary around Auckland.
P.
Staff were friendly and personable. A very professional experience.
E.
Very accommodating staff. We arrived on a 6am flight, both ill, and they immediately found us a room. Very comfortable room - great bed.
H.
Amazing place and awesome facilities, staff are kind and always wanting to help out as much as they can giving the place a good vibe. Friendly service , clean rooms, amazing bathrooms, high speed free wifi and good views!
R.
The Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Habour hotel was at a great location near local restaurants and shopping. We ate a local restaurant, Firehouse that had great smoked brisket and chicken. The hotel had a wonderful breakfast menu with good ala carte choices, since we are not big eaters.
A.
The Sofitel in Auckland is by far the best hotel in New Zealand.
After our stay with the great Sofitel team in Auckland, we traveled down to Wellington and stayed at the Intercontinental. There is no comparison I can make between the two, other than to say the Sofitel exceeds the Intercontinental in every category by an Order of Magnitude.
The peaceful interior of the Sofitel, the wonderful modern and spacious rooms, the amazing restruant staff, the Les Clefs d'Or who seamless great every guest and the feeling of a restful trip.
J.
Fancy and luxurious hotel brand, in a good though not exceptional location. Easily the most comfortable bed I've been in for a while.
K.
Service was great and personalized!
We loved the welcome hand written letter!
The staff really makes you feel like home!
Thank you and hope to enjoy any of your facilities again!
A.
Very pleasant. All staff where helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well presented for our special stay. The whole experience was delightful
P.
Always a great time here. Gorgeous appointments, opulent and beautiful ambience, and the spa treatments are absolutely heavenly. Luxury beyond measure.
C.
Food was great. Projector is up to date and other features such as toilet etc had really nice towels. Cool pool too.
K.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Our stay was pleasant and the hotel was conveniently located to access the port and the city. Our view from our room was of the bus parking lot, so it was a bit of a disappointment.
J.
Very central..no vehicle needed....food excellent....waterfront rooms are more enjoyable.....pool area and spa excellent condition. Staff very helpful. Do carefully check the bill from all services that you indulged in
M.
Had a spa treatment here with complimentary access to the pool and sauna, highly recommended
J.
Really nice hotel with great facilities and awesome location too. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, really great to stay here. Find is fantastic too.
A.
Beautiful facilities, clean and tidy, extremely helpful and polite staff. Room was upgraded complementary, and was lovely. Food was fantastic, plenty, both dinner and breakfast.
J.
Always a great stay. Great food, awesome service and very central for great entertainment
s.
Overall good experiences with Sofitel.
Excellent Concierge; F & B and reservation team.
Only shortfall will be Lava's menu; especially Breakfast - limited choice and had similar breakfast for 6 days.
C.
Please thank all the staff on my behalf and let them know the profound effect that they have had. It dosen't matter what your role is in life, or what position you have within a company. It's what you bring to that role and just your share presence in that moment, your warm smile and non-judgmental actions as to what someone is wearing or what car they drive, makes people feel special and important.
Thank you once again.
Kindest regards
Chenin Madden:)
B.
The room was very comfortable and breakfast was great. The gym and dos facilities were also excellent and the concierge service were very friendly and helpful.
N.
Great service from the reception desk. Sam checked us in and was very helpful. The concierge arranged for a taxi for us to the airport. Very receptive to our requests and did a great job.
R.
I was there attending a conference. The experience was by no means unsatisfactory, but it as also nowhere near perfect. The strange thing is that the defects would be fairly easy to remedy. Things like soap dishes being too small, insufficient closet space, and the like would be easy to fix.
A.
Exceptional service and friendly staff. A 5 Star facility offering great value for money.
A.
Great location, gorgeous lobby, fancy inside. Rooms could use a bit of colour and food service could be better. Overall great place 🙏🏽
l.
We had a lovely weekend, the service was fabulous and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Our room was beautiful and the food exquisite.
R.
Great menu. Superior waiter n waitress. Suphurb wine choices. Great seating. Good parking. Wonderful hotel.
G.
Amazing hotel. We only went for the lunch and massage special but you feel like a million dollars when you're there. Would love to head back for a couple of nights!
K.
Lovely lunch...definitely try the set lunch menu
k.
Beautiful place for a cup of Coffee.
You can get E-Scooters as well.
Good place to relax
K.
Great venue for after 5 meetings
C.
It was my first time staying in Sofitel.
Room was very clean and comfortable.
All Staff were very kind and friendly.
Service was perfect.
Really I want to recommend to my friends.
D.
We enjoyed a pleasant stay. The Viaduct is in a fantastic location right in the heart of Auckland city. The waterside cafe and restaurant are fabulous venues to meet with friends and colleagues for coffee or dining.
C.
Always a seamless and finessed experience at Sofitel. It's one of our favorite hotels anywhere. In a great location, top level service from all staff and excellent facilities.
S.
Brief but good! Good comfy, well appointed rooms. Beautiful bathroom. Rooms dont have much privacy from other guests though!
J.
Great location with many restaurants and local hot spots around. Helpful staff and the bar fridge regularly restocked. Room spacious and clean and good size bathroom.
A.
Amazing view. Really decent facilities and rooms. Would definitely use this hotel again if I stay in Auckland in the future.
H.
Best hotel experience my wife and I have ever come across. Friendly and attentive staff. Our view towards the Marina was stunning!
M.
One of the best hotels in Auckland. Away from city centre and handy to lots of bars and restaurants at 'The Viaduct'. In house, Lava restaurant is great, and a glass of your favourite drink in Sabrage bar is a 'must do'.
M.
I have stayed before and had high expectations as the previous visit was amazing. While I had a smaller room this visit, the whole experience was still a good one.
S.
Went for their amazing buffet breakfast, also available as an A La Carte or Set Menu. Staff were polite and helpful. Coffee tasted brilliant.
L.
Our brief stay was very comfortable. Very efficient staffs at check in and check out. Excellent service! Great food at Lava restaurant.
M.
Beds so comfortable you dont want to get out of them. Breakfast dining is a treat. Rooms are plush and well equipt. Cant wait to stay again.
S.
What a nice hotel... Staff fantastic... Great spot... And the rooms are beautiful. Great size... Clean and fittings are great .... Couldn't ask for anymore. 👌
G.
Beautiful and luxurious hotel. One of the best interiors in Auckland. The rooms are big and comfortable, while the public areas are modern, attractive and peaceful.
K.
Went to high tea. Whole atmosphere was devine. Alex, our main server, was lovely . Always coming to check on us and make sure we were enjoying ourself. Highly recommend
H.
Had an event on in the evening, forgot my belt. the concierge was amazing and within 30 minutes they managed to find one for me to borrow. hugely appreciated, top service.
C.
It's was great. Though it was short but you guys from the Front Office definitely made my first trip and first 2 days in New Zealand memorable and amazing!
P.
New and really nice Hotel . With a harbour view room you have a perfect view. Take this. We can highly recommend this hotel
R.
Beautiful spot, awesome staff and a great place to spend the night with awesome stores near
C.
My co-worker and I stayed at the Sofitel for a week. I became very ill with the flu and asthma and the hotel staff were lovely! I had to spend the whole week in bed and they couldn't have done more for me!
D.
Lovely room on the 5th floor. Breakfast was excellent, but we overdid it with the full breakfast. I'd just order a single-item next time.
f.
Came here for work function. And just so everyone knows, I'm the guy that selected "disco" on that crowd quiz we had for kerela tourism about the river name hahahhahah the only guy in the room that selected that option xp fun times nice little lake too not sure if we can swim in it?
D.
The hotel was in great shape with fast friendly service at the front desk.
Only continental breakfast available for buffet and the service was slower than optimal.
m.
from beginning - beautiful flowers in foyer - helpful front of house staff - lovely room - helpful concierge - lovely breakfast. Only issue was evening restaurant - staff had attitude and food was average
A.
Excellent location, just by the marina. You can enjoy morning walk at the marina on a sunny day. It is about 15 minutes walk away from Sky city and the shopping belt at Queen St
T.
The room was clean and tidy, staff were professional and friendly. I really liked that when there were any issues, matters were resolved efficiently and respectfully.
S.
had christmas lunch there, food was pretty nice, fresh oysters tasted odd but wasnt sick because of it, doesnt really seem like a hotel from the outside, staff are really nice and friendly and is a short walk from wynyard quarter and viaduct harbour which would be nice for an evening meal
C.
Excellent customer service, clean well equipped rooms. Thanks for the pleasant stay, do avoid rooms on the bus depot side if you are a light sleeper.
M.
Room downgraded on arrival, explanation given that it was a system glitch. It turns out that the prepaid room was sold that morning and there weren't any cancellations. Nice work Sofitel.
S.
Thanks for a wonderful stay, staff were attentive and restaurant served glorious meals. Loved the comfy beds and the whole night sleep.
c.
Although rated as a luxury 5* hotel in Nz it comes short when compared to its brand overseas. 5* is about luxury, everything has been thought about for you to the last details, amenities galore, staff trained professionally ... This is not always the case in Nz ''5*'' hotels
G.
Stayed here on honeymoon. Fantastic room and service. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Super comfy bed and spacious room. Highly recommended!
K.
Beautiful, modern interior. I have been to the restaurant inside twice now and the food is delicious. Bathrooms provide towels and hand cream.
S.
Compact lobby but the room was spacious, nice and clean. Excellent service. Location a bit far from main attraction.
O.
Lovely hotel. Staff really helpful and professional.
G.
Always a pleasure. Staff and facilities were great. No issues whatsoever. Have stayed many times and will definitely be back.

V.
Very nice and modern hotel. Room was somewhat compact, but had everything I needed. Nespresso machine was a nice touch.
D.
Great services! Nice and friendly staff. Not the top fastest wi-fi and the rooms are big-ish. Wonderful experience.
E.
Great location right in the middle of the viaduct. Room was wonderful with a nice shower and bath. Service was fantastic, and they solved our problems quickly.
D.
Located near the harbor, with stunning rooms. Definitely worth the money. Two downsides being that if you are on the lower levels the traffic noise can be a bit noisy, and valet was a bit pricey.
F.
One of the best hotel rooms we have experienced so far, stunning view of harbour and a very relaxing ambience.
A.
Excellent service brilliant!!
E.
Too short. Had an excellent time. The staff were very professional and courteous. The room was perfect, just what we needed.
A.
Love staying here, the staff are amazing the rooms are so fantastic, love how comfy the beds are and how deep the baths are! Free wifi is a bonus too 😊
D.
Asian influence vibe in this fantastic Harbour side hotel, ir even has some rooms wuth haebour side moorings. Make sure you check out the Lava Restaurant as well, a step above usual hotel restaurants.
P.

R.
Hotel very nice, staff great, mini bar missing items when we checked, we do not use, but had an email saying we had, we hate mini bars everything, should just be available on request.
J.
Beautifully appointed five star hotel in Auckland's viaduct harbour. Close to the action, yet far enough away for a peaceful nights sleep.

Absolutely beautiful grounds. The best hotel I've visited in Auckland city for sure, simply stunning décor and displays.
R.
Viaduct is a nice place to go for a stroll around the harbourside. There is food available in some decent and some swanky restaurants At night it livens up a lot with some of Auckland's best bars.
J.
From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we got in our car to leave, every moment was made special by the staff and just the overall experience that we can only describe as the Sofitel touch.
D.

Beautiful place
One of the best harbours I have ever been to
Used to take a long walk around at times and enjoy the view
Crowded over weekends and holidays
Wonder how it will be like for people working while facing this view all the time...
