Very comfortable accomodation in a lovely secluded bush setting complete with private wood-fired hot tub. Wonderfully hosted by Andrew and Jolene who provided many helpful hints on local sights and attractions and how best to access them. A great place to explore the region from and an equally great place to retreat to if you just want to escape the woes of the world!

Situated amongst the wonderful West Coast bush the spacious, clean and well appointed units are laid out to maximize privacy and views making for the perfect getaway. The hot tub nestled amongst the trees was the perfect way to end the day - wine in hand of course :) If you want the feeling of being amongst nature, away from the hustle and bustle but just a quick drive to some fantastic restaurants, shopping and activities this is the place to go. Friendly and helpful hosts made us very welcome and provided great information on the area. We can't wait to get back!

Absolute amazing place to stay. The room was spacious with a great bathroom. The hot tub was an absolute treat sitting in the middle of the bush looking up at the stars. Also only a very short drive the township and best of all no noise. Its a paradise on the coast.

Great motel, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Feel hidden away but only a short drive to Greymouth. Excellent base for travels around the beautiful West Coast. Highly recommended.

Clean, modern feels like home away from home what more could you want? This motel is in the perfect location just outside of Greymouth the drive is scenic and beautiful 😍 and the hosts Andrew and Jolene go above and beyond, exceptional customer service and very welcoming with lots of local knowledge. We will definitely be staying again! Thanks for having us!

What a marvelous place my wife and I were on our honeymoon on the Westcoast and found this absolute gem of a place. Fantastic service, fantastic rooms, fantastic hot tub, fantastic atmosphere, we will definitely be staying again next time we are down, thank-you so much for making our stay so lovely

We loved our stay here! The hosts were exceptional, they offered great advice for where to go for dinner, directions and what sites to look at! The owner even suggested something to look at to fix my ute dashboard light that worker! Really clean and we loved the hot tub. We highly recommend!

This place is a hidden gem. The hosts Andrew and Jolene are very welcoming and commited to making their guests feel at home on their beautiful property. The suite we stayed in had everything we needed and more. The wood fired hot tub was a treat at the end of the day and free for guests to use. Great location! Set in bushland but minutes from Greymouth. We will be back soon for sure 😀

This motel definitely has the best hosts I've ever come across, we were welcomed like family and treated that way for our entire stay. The unit was super comfortable and clean, with all the things you could possibly need. We had a dinner cooked for us while we were there which was just delicious. made even nicer by the fact that the table was 10 paces from our door so no driving home! My favourite thing here was the hot tub set out in the bush, total privacy and super romantic, perfect for sharing a soak and a bottle of wine. We will certainly be returning, big thanks to Jolene and Andrew.

We stayed at Goldfield Suites the Summer of 2021 and it was a wonderful experience. The owners greeted us warmly and showed us the grounds. We had a very nice standalone apartment/suite. The rooms were nice and bright and the bathroom was well done. They had a dinner service in an open pavilion around the suites that we did not partake in, but it smelled great and there was no pressure to be involved. There is a lovely wood fire hot tub a few meters into the Bush which was the perfect nightcap after a day of travel. The position a little ways out of Greymouth but was not a hinderance, and added to the overall beauty of the trip. The views of the rolling mountains was quite tranquil. The price was perfect for the experience. Overall it felt very personal and comfortable and non pretentious. I would highly recommend this place for folks who want a relaxing evening away from town life, or a small group who want to have a shared meal experience with friends and family.

Great accomodation friendly host. Room has everything you require especially enjoyed the hot plunge pool in most beautiful setting. Plenty of bird life to see and enjoy as well as the friendly dog teddy Thanks for having us

We loved this place. So peaceful, sitting amongst native bush with wekas running round the garden. Dinner with the hosts and other guests was a highlight, and very reasonable. Follow that with a private hot tub set amongst the bush, and sky so dark at night the stars were as impressive as I've ever seen. Our unit was lovely too. I can't think of anything that could be improved.

Far from the madding crowd, this delightful boutique motel nestled in the tranquillity of the spectacular native Bush particular to this part of NZ is to be highly recommended. We stayed only 2 nights but will definitely be back again. Secluded and peaceful yet just a short drive to Greymouth and its eateries and shops. Immaculately clean and wheelchair friendly. We stayed in winter and it was the warmest place we stayed during our tour of the South Island thanks to the lovely big duvet - didn't need to leave the heating on overnight. Spacious room with microwave, hotplate, Nespresso machine, toaster, sink and generous amount of crockery, cutlery and glassware. They have Netflix too, so we were able to carry on watching our current favourite series! Friendly and helpful hosts with a good knowledge of local eateries and walks in the area. Book this motel, you won't be disappointed!

A suite with a view in a peaceful setting. Lovely clean chalet with a very comfortable bed. Full kitchen facilities, including a nespresso coffee machine. About 5km out of Greymouth in a lovely rural setting. BBQ facilities available and a hot tub (so remember your bathers). You might just get a visit from a Weka too. 😁

Beautiful and well equipped accommodation. Quiet and peaceful a 10/10 spot to stay at. Jolene and Andrew are great host and made you feel very welcome. All the comforts of home.

Fabulous location, walking distance to Shantytown heritage park, hosts are friendly and accommodating. The hosted dinner offer we took was great value for money. The units were beautifully maintained and the hot tub.... Oh la la.

This place is a hidden gem just outside Greymouth. My husband and I stayed here while driving up the West Coast and we honestly wish we had more than one night. We had a well equipped apartment with a balcony, an evening woodfired hot tub out in the bush, and the owners are very pleasant and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Highly highly recommended for anyone staying in the area!

Jolene and Andrew were so welcoming from the get go and their suggestions of what to do with the evening ensured we made the most of Greymouth. Our room was gorgeous and tidy, and the bed was so comfortable - it was such a dream to sleep on. Such a beautiful setting to wake up in.

Lovely wee place located just out of Greymouth, we had a 50th at Shantytown next door and it was perfect for our stay. Clean and well appointed and stunning views to match. Loved seeing the Weka pouncing around the property too, disappointed we missed out on a dip in the new wood-fire spa being put in a few weeks time! Jolene and Andrew were most welcoming, showed us to our suites and left us to it. We most definitely will be back in the summer months for a hosted meal you put on too!

The best place to stay in Greymouth! The serenity of the bush and 10 minutes to town. Very comfortable rooms with some lovely quality touches - loved the china cups and saucers - and genuine hospitality. A big step up from the average run of the mill high street motel. We'll be back.

We stayed for 4 days and it was amazing, we felt the calmness the second we arrived. Andy and Jolene have a really good energy there. It took only 5 min drive from the main road to get there so it's perfectly located. We needed some extra quietness during daytime and they took extra steps to give us the calmness we desired. If you're looking for a place to take some time for yourself, to clear your mind, read, meditate or just recharge yourself, I truly recommend Goldfield. Andy and Jolene amazed us with their place and we'll definitely stay there again whenever we get to Greymouth area again.

Beautiful surroundings and accommodation stunning. Made to feel very welcome. It also has a wood heated hot tub free for all people staying.

Accommodation was excellent,all the comforts and more you would expect from a boutique hotel. Andrew and Jolene are fabulous hosts, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area plus being basically on the West Coast Cycle Trail , location is perfect.

I had the pleasure of staying here a number of times and I can't think of a single downside to the motel, location or staff. The room was great, with a decent kitchen, comfortable bed and large shower with amazing water pressure. The pillow menu was a great idea. The TV media centre used is really good for Netflix and YouTube, with reliable fast internet In the room. The place is really quiet and surrounded by native forest with plenty of birdsong. Weka are regularly seen walking through the place. You're well clear of the road. Greymouth is barely ten minutes away, Hokitika twenty minutes. The owners, Jolene and Andy are really friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate in staying there again.

A lovely quiet environment beautiful bush setting with wonderful accomodation and hosts In Andy and Jolene. We enjoyed 5 sunny days to just chill out. Visited Shantytown did some gold panning and being entertained by antics of the local Wekas. They come out of the bush when least expected sometimes right at your feet. Other native song birds are in abundance especially Tui. They are all wonderful to hear. We will certainly be returning.

Beautiful setting, great cabins friendly management

We had an excellent stay at the Goldfield Suites! The suites were lovely and kitted out well with everything we needed, the view was amazing and the highlight was the wood fire hot tub.

The motel is immaculate and comfortable, and the hosts friendly and helpful with lots of advice for things to do. The motels are set in a peaceful and quiet area with lots of native bush and weka's visiting. Would definitely come back again.

Amazing place in an amazing setting with amazing owners. Wonderfully peaceful. Recommended by family members and was a perfectly romantic place to spend with a partner. My girlfriend loved it and we would definitely go back for a Holiday.

Fantastic setting; peaceful and tranquil. Close enough to town to be handy but far enough away to get away from it all. The units are well laid out and perfectly equipped. The hosts are friendly and provide a fabulous place to get away.

One of the nicest, cleanest, peaceful places you will ever stay at. A real gem. Modern clean we equipped suites with wi-fi, TV cooking facilities. This would be one of my all time favorite places to stay and can't wait to return. Very friendly owners. A must to stay

I would highly recommend Goldfield Suites, your hosts Jolene and Andrew are very welcoming and helpful, private setting, lovely views and very comfortable rooms, great bed and excellent bathroom. I have stayed here many times and will keep coming back, it is a home away from home.
