R.Here for long weekend. Beautiful bar, primo location next to the water the steak dinners are awesome.
S.Out of town visitors. Pleasant atmosphere & friendly staff. Pity the character of the pub had been modernised out of it.
2 burgers purchased but both buns (tops) were burnt. Should have asked for replacements, but didn't want to cause a scene. OK

T.Arrived to see live band. Floors were so sticky my partners jandal broke. Had calamari and nachos. Calamari was good value but the nachos had hardly any meat! Such a shame cause it tasted yum. Looked like some of the staff were being yelled at by manager or owners. But staff were really nice. Few people got absolutely smashed though and they kept serving them and allowing them to stay on.

H.Ordered the fish and chips here. I was initially disappointed with the portion size of the fish considering it was about $25 for the meal. My mum had a much bigger piece than I did. The manager there sorted me out with an additional piece so was happy with that. The fish was delicious.

C.A very enjoyable night despite the frothy beer head on my Stella on tap but I avoided this particular bar person from pouring my beers after that experience.
S.First time visit. Came in for a quiet one. The bar staff were a delight. Taken there by a local, watched the rugby and later back for dinner was very nice. Will be back most definitely.
t.We went during the day of new years eve. It was extremely busy on the ordering food side but we got our meals and the chefs did an amazing job under so much pressure. Definitely go back on a less busy day.
A.What a great place for the the family to hang. Great bar staff, food (recomend the pork belly) and hospitality. Make sure you check out the garden bar while your there. We will be back without a doubt. Cheers whiti pub well done.

S.Was ok but didn't really enjoy the wings. Curry under the hot spices didn't really work and neither did the 3 different sauces. Good outdoor area with plenty of seating though

If you are in Whitianga on a Tuesday or Thursday night the Whitianga Hotel is a good option for a steak dinner. For $18 you will get a 200 gram scotch fillet, salad and chips - it was very tasty and the service is friendly!
