J.I think this store has a good price for the quality of the glasses. I wish the service at the store was better. My only interaction with the people at the store was when I was paying, while in other stores the attendants actually help you with selecting glasses. I was a bit confused with frames and which ones could be made into sunglasses, and what lenses they had. But didn’t get the opportunity to ask, so thought it was better to just pick one and leave.
S.The staff at High St Bailey Nelson were AMAZING! So friendly, so helpful and completely supportive in helping me with my 1st pair of reading eyewear. They made the whole process so easy and stress free :)! The store also had a fantastic selection of frames to choose from. I was thoroughly impressed throughout the whole experience and highly recommend High St Bailey Nelson and the team!
K.I had a fantastic experience with the High St store team after breaking my frames, a special mention to Catherine who was my point of contact.
A new pair was promptly sourced from another store, called on arrival, my current lenses put into the new frames - and a call to tell me they were ready.
While I was there I was also told of the new collection about to launch as I was after a certain sized frame for a new pair of prescription sunglasses.

D.I needed new glasses and hadn't replaced them for 12 years the experience at Bailey Nelson High street was just great. From initial booking through to their personal ph call follow up through covid to my sitting with the optician, the assistance and patience with Kat and Tom in selection my frames was excellent with no pushy sales talk.they walked me through many options. They said 14 days to get my glasses which are progressive plus a pair of perscription sunnys which I chose polarized lenses .I was surprised to get a txt after just 7 days to say they had arrived in From Melbourne. I'm 100% satisfied with both Pairs, very fashionable and 5 stars for service.i would recommend Bailey Nelson over the opposition any day .

J.The optometrist and staff was very kind and helpful. My boyfriend and I got a free eye test each, and we received a really detailed exam and results.
Then I ended up buying glasses which improved my reading vision so much. My boyfriend broke his glasses lens a few days later and they replaced it free of charge. So really great service. Also the lenses that they have available are really classy and chic designs that you wouldn’t find in a specsavers.
H.Thought id give the high street branch a try with the free eye exam offer (booked with Andrew) and was really happy with how things went. Comprehensive exam and a really good selection of frames. Walked out with new frames and lenses on order and it was super straightforward and easy. The staff are all lovely and happy to help
T.Came in for glasses as I lost mine. Left with a contact lens free trial and selected some nice clear frames. Arrived pretty quick, maybe a week and a half. Stoked with the quality of the frames, I was afraid they wouldn’t suit me but they’re good! Contact lenses are turning out to be pretty good too, however I notice I am more sensitive to light when wearing the contacts - light seems brighter, especially in contrast; looking out of a window from indoors can be blinding. I’ll raise this matter when I go in for my contact lens follow up appointment, I wouldn’t recommend driving a car immediately if you’re on a contact lens trial.

A.Recently came in for an eye test, all the staff were really nice and helpful. Wonderful selection of frames and options like anti reflective coatings, blue light filter for clear lenses and polarisation for sunglasses. Great pricing too - I got two pairs of glasses (clear lenses and sunnies) and the total for everything was a couple hundred less than I paid at a competitor for one pair of frames/lenses :)

Andrew - the gentleman that did my eye test was great. He walked me through what he was seeing in the eye scans and answered any questions I had. The other staffs were also helpful when I was struggling to choose between frames and answered my questions. Great staff at the High Street store, made my friend and I have a great and comfortable time shopping. Definitely recommend Bailey Nelson!

J.Had my eyes examined by optometrist Shay last week, she was very thorough and knowledgeable. The lady who served me was very friendly and helpful choosing my frames. Special thanks to Joshua who got the frame in for me to try on the day as they were out of stock. Can't wait to try out my glasses!
D.Went here multiple times to buy new eyeglasses, for an eye exam, then lastly, to claim what I purchased. The first visit was amazing. They had this female staff who was super accommodating, very friendly, and was open to helping and explaining how I should go about buying new glasses. I was asked to go back the next weekend though because there was no more open schedule for their optometrist.
Upon returning, the friendly lady wasn’t there anymore and the other staff who I talked with was a bit aloof. The optometrist was very nice though, explained my eye exam results, and was friendly throughout the process. When I paid for my purchase though, I was suprised that the fee increased immensely because of the type of lens I had to wear. It wasn’t explained to me why. Should have asked, I know, but maybe best to discuss that at the start? Good thing they had afterpay.
Claimed my glasses a week after. It was an ok experience, I don’t think I’ll be coming back here though.
M.Solid 5/5 can't get any better than the experience here at BN High St. This was by far the most comprehensive eye test I've had comparing to both OPSM and Specsavers comprehensive tests. Fantastic value for money in their testing procedures, unprecedented in-store service, and stylish affordable frames (way more stylish than what's out there in my opinion). Thanks so much and love what you do team! I couldn't be more impressed.

K.such a poor experience at this particular store. I visited and was prescribed a completely inaccurate prescription. when I brought this up with the optometrist, their response was that I had been "over-prescribed" by my previous optometrist and that I would adjust. i felt obliged to purchase the contact lenses at that prescription, so i did. one year later... and I have a box and a half of contact lenses left, going to waste. after going back to my optometrist of 10 years, they were shocked by how off the prescription given to me by BN was.
Edit, 13/07/2020: One year later, Bailey Nelson rectified this issue and provided me with a replacement pack of contact lenses to suit my current prescription. Thank-you Josh, this gesture was greatly appreciated and I have therefore adjusted my rating to reflect the customer service received this time around. Thanks again.

X.Went to get a new pair glasses from BN under a recommendation from a friend and they are spectacular for their customer service (helping you choose the glasses and the eye test) and selection of glasses!!! Moreover, I actually bought the glasses 5 months ago, but I needed some letters from their optometrist for my insurance. Sent an email in on Friday 5 PM and gotten what I wanted on Saturday immediately !!!! Such friendly and speedy customer services are rare nowadays (some places don't even check their email ) and BN has been wonderful for everything!!! Definitely will go back.
A.Finally, glasses you actually want to wear! Staff here is always friendly and approachable and genuinely want to help. Take the time to ensure everything fits comfortably and you never feel like a nuisance asking for tiny adjustments. Can't fault them.

S.Visited High St with my 11yr old daughter today, to help her select her first ever pair of glasses.
Being a child of this day and age, it goes without saying she knew exactly what she wanted and was a girl on a mission.
After four hours of traipsing around Auckland, the only pair that had captured her in any way were over $700, and needless to say, that was far more than I was willing to pay for a first pair of glasses.
We were both fairly tired and over it all by the time we walking into BN High St, and my hopes of finding anything that was going to appease the discerning style requirements of Miss 11 were fairly non-existent by that stage, with our attempts to settle on a pair turning into full blown negotiations and lessons on compromise.
Enter: Dream Girl.
We had found a certain model which my daughter was keen on, however wasn’t too fond on the colour (see also: discerning style requirements).
I didn’t manage to catch Dream Girls name, but she was adamant she’d seen this model in the preferred ‘Crystal’ as outlined by Miss 11.
She hunted high and low throughout the store trying to find this specific frame for my daughter to try, however kept coming up empty handed.
All the while, my daughter continued her frenzied search for a suitable alternative, and the remaining staff in store supported and encouraged her whilst she tried to figure out what she wanted to do.
We settled for a different pair, and no sooner had we started to approach the counter to begin the purchasing process, Dream Girl excitedly exclaimed that she’d found the very pair she’d been looking for, tucked away on the back shelf hiding amongst others.
Miss 11 tried them on, and experienced her very own Cinderella moment - elated with the style, colour and fit, she proceeded to dance through the shop, well and truly ‘feeling herself’.
Prior to this moment, she had expressed her concerns on being teased for wearing glasses, but all those fears were cast aside and my happy, confident girl reappeared.
What had started as a stressful, painstaking process filled with apprehension became a real coming-of-age moment for my pre-teen, and I cannot thank your team enough for the role they played, or for the service they provided us with.
Now, my biggest concern is how many times I’m going to be asked “are my glasses ready yet?”.
