I wanted to congratulate Gates Eyewear on its fantastic service and professionalism. I recently lost my glasses, and Jeremy managed to find me a unique new pair that suited me perfectly. Gates team has been looking after my family and me for the best part of 4 years. Their service has always been excellent and consistent. Requested a quote via the Gates website and received a phone call the following day. Although they couldn't procure original parts (no one I contacted could) they offered to do a custom job. Sent in my sunglasses to have the hinge repaired as it had completely snapped only made worse by trying to fix it myself. Had to call in for an update but appreciated the fact that it was easy for whoever I talked to to pull up the job and have immediate info. Payed via bank transfer and the glasses were shipped back same day. Got them back and they work perfect. The hinge that was installed looks a lot sturdier that the original one which is cool. Thanks Gates! I'll be sure to use you again if the need arises.

I have been so impressed with the communication and service of Gates Eyewear. Lockdown and alert levels can be tricky to navigate, but their swift email correspondence when I lost my prescription glasses meant I was able to easily get a new pair organized, and come in to try on frames in store in Level 3. Staff were friendly and so helpful, picking out frames that suited the kind of style I like and recommending a great pair for sunglasses too...a breath of fresh air having such a lovely retail experience in these stressful times. Thank you Gates!

Great service. Sarah, Lee took time to help with frame selection. And what a fantastic beautiful selection of frames. Not the usual generic ones. They suggested a certain type of progressive lens. What a difference. Clear, crisp right to edge of frame. None of that I must move up or down a bit to get focused. If you want someone to really listen to what you need your glasses for, these are the people to go to. You will not be disappointed. Choice: Vinylise Roach. Made out of a real vinyl record. Design a nod to Steve Roach . In the running were was a pair made out of aircraft bits! An a little pink acetate pair. Also have a wide selection for sunglasses.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Gates Eyewear for a number of years now, their professionalism is outstanding both in their eye tests as well as their huge range of stock and excellent advice as to best shape best fit and colour of Lenses. Whenever I have had an issue with my glasses i.e. I’ve sat on them! They resolve it straight away. I really cannot recommend him more highly. Thank you Leigh and the team

i have purchased a pair of nice chrome hearts glass off gates eyewear about 8 month ago. Lee from gate eyewear been give me great help from selecting, fitting and follow up. Nice easy going and always keen to help.

I went to Gates Eyewear to get some prescription lenses fit into my existing pair of sunglasses as they gave me the best quote out of the 8-10 optometrists I called. My frames are a bit strange which makes it difficult to put the lenses into the frames as they have to be manually pushed in. The initial pair of lenses they ordered was incorrect which they apologised for but then they tried many iterations of lenses as they were gently scratched each time they were fitted in. The whole time they were extremely transparent with me and then asked if I wanted to see the scratch after their most recent attempt. It was a VERY small scratch and I genuinely believe they could have not told me and I might not have seen it. To compensate for the scratch they also offered me a half price discount. I have NEVER been to a place that pays so much attention to customer service and satisfaction. I am more than happy to make this my regular optometrist.

I had a fantastic experience. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Excellent systematic eye exam then considerate and informed advice with selection of new frames. Staff were happy to help with frame adjustment a few weeks later and even gave me half price replacement frames for old prescription lenses as back up pair. Would definitely recommend this lovely team of optometrists.

The Gates Eyewear team has been a part of my life for over ten years. In that time, I have always received fantastic service from a group of professionals who take eye and vision health seriously. They were particularly patient with me earlier this year when I moved to progressive lenses. I really appreciated their gentle guidance (and honesty). Always across the latest tech, their joy in sharing the latest solutions is apparent, a sign that they love what they do.

Gates were recommended to me for prescription cycling glasses after multiple other eyewear providers were clueless. Not only did Gates know exactly what the options were and helping me with a decision, they were exceptional in keeping me informed of progress until the glasses arrived. Top notch service.

These guys really know what customer service is about. My wife and I have been seeing (lol) them for a few years now, and just yesterday went in to pick out her new Chrome Hearts frames. These things are amazing, and just add to the experience you get at Gates. Lee spent a ton of time adjusting my new frames while I was there, to get them just right for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks guys!

I woke up in yesterday morning thinking I had a pair of contact lenses to wear and found that in fact I didn’t and no backup glassed either! I called around several optometrists but the only one that I could reach was Gates eyewear and what a blessing that was! I have severe short sightedness which means I can’t even work without them. Even though the next available appointment wasn’t until Thursday (it was Monday morning when this happened) they squeezed me in for an emergency appointment that same day and wow! I was VERY well taken care of! I was greeted so warmly at reception and the optometrist (Angela) after checking my eyes very carefully and thouroughly found some sample lenses in my prescription so I was able to return to work the next day – then I got a follow up call from Angela who went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of not just for the time being but in the long term as well! I will be forever grateful! 100% recommend Gates Eyewear – they are fantastic! AAA+++

My dog ate my glasses I searched the internet for someone that could get my prescription glasses pronto, and it is pronto. I had it delivered to Thames day after and they were such good value. I cannot thank you guys enough for how professional you are, the only glasses person that offers good value and overnight service for single sight glasses just amazing.A+++++

Hunting for new glasses so off to newmarket.... this was the place I got the best service at. Actual advice on what suited me.... good range of styles and prices. Not all same same that you see in the chain stores and better quality too. Should have just come straight here.

Gates have been the only optometrists who could sort out my contact lenses prescription and I wear multi-focal glasses. (Ask for Angela!). They always go the extra mile to make sure both my contacts and my glasses are right.

If you want to invest in a good pair of glasses this is the place to go. You have to accept the cost with it. Everyone loves my new glasses and I enjoy them as well. The staff are pleasant and helpful

New contact lens technology (toric mutlifocal) suggested by Angela Gilbert has made a huge difference to my vision. It is like getting 3D sight back again!

I have keratoconus and currently live now in Auckland. Wendy Hill is by far the greatest optometrist I have seen over the last 5 year (I have seen many) as she is always willing and able to go that extra mile for the customer. Good eyewear shop with great glasses and service... I went with my wife to fix her glasses and they took after as well... everyone was so kind and helpful... they have a great section for any type of glasses you desire... clean and nice place as well but I was happily surprised with their professionalism and their politeness...
