I had an awesome experience with the lovely team at Howick village optometrist. From getting my eyes tested and checked to getting contacts and glasses fitted. The customer service experience was amazing!! They even ordered glasses in for me to try on and choose what I liked the best. I have now got really great glasses that I love and they also don't fog up with my mask on due to the fogless wipes I got. Highly recommend!!!

I can't recommend this business enough. They managed to squeeze me in for an appointment test at their busiest times of the year – even more so after a lockdown! They're always super helpful and genuinely care about their customers. Frith even de-fogged my glasses for me with a special de-fogging product – who knew! Great for bespectacled mask-wearers everywhere.

Quick and quality service, got a pair within 3 days and had Niti help find the reason as to why my left eye was so dry, where other eye doctors failed. Definitely recommend this business!

Recently as a bus driver I noticed my sight had changed but as we were in level 3 I thought I would need to wait until we got to level to get into an Optometrist for a check. I was surprised when driving through Howick village to find this business open . I told my employer of my problem and said I would take time off to get checked . I was made very welcome by the staff as soon as I arrived and soon had me with the technician and soon told I had cataracts. She immediately allayed my fear and tested my eyes . We then went out to the shop area and was organised with frames. I thought this would be a 3 week process so was very surprised when they told me 3 days.The service and friendly staff are amazing . I am so pleased to be able to support local and have no hesitation in recommending this business to anybody requiring excellent eye care . Thanks so much team

So friendly and helpful!!! Helped fit me into a new pair of glasses and made the process super easy and enjoyable. Will never go anywhere else! (also make sure you don’t leave without a good laugh) :)

Great Optometry gem slap bang in the middle of Howick. I’ve been a client for a while now and always find these guys professional and willing help in any way they can. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I looooooooove Howick Village Optometrists!!! Not only do they have a great range of glasses but their service is second to none - informative, prompt and all with a warm smile. The owners are also really involved in community life in Howick and will help people out in any way they can going above and beyond to do so which is also the mark of a brilliant local business in my book. A great, great business run by some of the most superb people you will ever have the privilege of knowing. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Decided to go to Howick Village Optometrists instead of back to Specsavers, and I'm so glad I did. The largest range of glasses ever, I feel like a kid a Christmas whenever I get to pick out a new frame. The optometrists are also very thorough with every step of the testing. Would highly recommend visiting this excellent independent business!

I have been a client of this optometrists for over 30 years and the staff have always been friendly and efficient. They also like a good laugh. Recently had some eye health issues but they were on it straight away and with the help of the wonderful public health system it is all under control now. I am a very happy chappy!

Awesome service from an even better team! I broke my only pair of glasses over the weekend under level 4 and these guys were awesome. They let me drop them in first thing this morning all to be fixed within 15 minutes. Thanks guys, definitely will be back.

A perfect experience... what a great group of experts; professional, friendly, trustworthy and customer focused! Getting my eye exam and buying my new glasses was an easy and pleasant experience with great advice whenever needed. My first set of progressive lenses was not as comfortable as expected, so HVO had them changed in record speed for a new set, better suited to my specifics. Recently, I was in Thailand and had a serious issue with my frame (still under warranty). I couriered them back to HVO and received brand new spectacles less than 10 days later. What an amazing sense of customer care! I will finish this review the way I started it: HVO, just PERFECT!

There aren't many places that provide the warm and fuzzy feeling that I get every time I visit Howick Village Optometrists. The staff are friendly and are always good for a laugh. The best optometrist I have had by far. I gave them a 5-star rating simply because there was nothing higher, well deserved.

As a family we have bene customers for many years. We are always impressed with the high level of optometry services but most importantly for all of us - they have a fantastic range of frames and sunglasses so there will always be something you like - at a price you can live with. They won't sell you what you don't need or what doesn't look good on you.

Best optometrist and staff in nz. Professional, bubbly, relatable. Go the extra mile with a smile and they have a Sense of humour to boot! Never go anywhere else. Two thumbs up

I have been going here for years now. Always great eye tests and everyone is so friendly. Recently purchased new glasses for work and love the advice on frames and super fast service as well.

The best thing about the team at Howick Village Optometrists is that they really know their customers and build up a brilliant rapport over time. Of course, Frith is hilarious! They understand customers who don't want to mess about (me) and also will take the time with customers who love to try on every one of their hundreds of frames!
