M.I couldn't have asked for better service, everyone is so nice at Mortimer Hirst, their service is fantastic. My teen loves her new glasses, the frames suit her face and personality, plus they're great quality. Doctor Aki also specializes in keratoconus, which is an added bonus due to my daughter's eye condition, and the main reason why I chose to take her there. P.S. I appreciate the little bag of extras they gave her. It was a lovely touch.

2 thumbs up to Dr. Tess who is very knowledgeable and examined my eyes thoroughly. Id been to a few optometrist before but never had as great and satisfying eye test experience w/ Dr. Tess. Very grateful also to the receptionist lady who took me in for the last hour appointment (sorry I forgot her name) but Thank you.
And I was told my glasses will arrive in a week but 2 days after I received a message advising my glasses are ready for collection - Very impressive!
To summarize my experience: You will definitely not leave the place thinking you have been ripped off! I am very happy w/ my glasses! 2 thumbs up to the team. Very worth it.
W.I hav bought the second pair of eyeglasses wear in the shop. The lady who work there is so nice and patient. Such good experience and excellent jobs they do ,definitely come again and again.
c.It only took one appointment with Dr Aki Gokul to fit me with scleral lenses that have changed my life overnight (after so many helpless appointments at Specsavers and the Manukau Superclinic) I wish I'd found Mortimer Hirst much earlier. They truly live up to their five star reviews!
A.Good service. Bought several accessories for my glasses and I still use them 3 years later.
B.Chris and the Office staff were very accommodating when I was in Auckland from the US and needed an entire new set of glasses. They got me in near the end of their day, rushed the service, and delivered quality glasses and frames at a reasonable price to my hotel the next day, as I would be on a tour until after they closed for the day. Chris pre adjusted the frames as he knew that I could not be present for the final fitting. The office staff looked up where I could have my glasses repaired near my home in the US. The staff went above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend this office
C.I had been suffered the complicated eye problems for many years before meeting one of the top NZ Optometrists, eye specialist Grant Watters, who practiced here, his exceptional expertise and super caring service resolved my problem, appreciate the excellent professional and lovely person - Grant. :)
R.Mortimer Hirst saved our vacation - after the aged glasses of my SO broke in half we went to this shop to check repair options, only to find out that the shop had the exact frame in stock and ready to go. Swapped glasses in a few minutes and the vacation was saved!!! Thank you again :)

C.The service I have received from Aki at Mortimer Hirst has been outstanding. He is a true professional who has gone out of his way to give his time, wisdom and advice to diagnose my eye problems. He reassured me in my time of need and confusion between GP’s and the eye hospital. Aki provided excellent advice to help dissipate my eye problems and a maintenance programme to prevent it happening again. For me, he has been my eye saviour.

C.My experience here was second to none. I had an eye condition that was picked up by the eye clinic. I felt scared and confused as they had little time to explain anything to me. I found Oliver Munro (at Mortimer Hirst) to be patient, kind and thorough. Nothing was too much trouble. I felt he genuinely cared.
J.I've been a client since the late 1990s and have been a satisfied customer all of this time. They do comprehensive eye exams, and are always meticulous in the carrying out of the individual tests. They also compare the recent tests with whatever file information they have: especially important for eye health, where they need to be able to track the development of any conditions diagnosed.
B.They stock some very cool brands, glasses you won’t find anywhere else. Lovely team! Super friendly and very fast service. They also refill your glasses cleaner spray when you take it back which is cool.
M.A big thank you to the delightful MH team for sorting my beautiful replacement prescription sunglasses with lightning speed! Always so friendly and helpful - I love my visits!
