***** 5 Gold Stars ***** Golden Business I had purchased a PS4 off trade me and found it have numerous faults to point it refused to power on properly without making loud noise an shutting itself off . Called an received answer straight away along with great fast text communication . I dropped my PS4 off for inspection and received decent reasonable cheap quote via text along with the possible options available it was repaired afterwards within few hours which wasn't expected and collected from the business and now working properly . All done in one day ! Definitely recommend to all ! Thank you .

What an amazing guy. Called this morning ( remembering it’s actually Boxing Day) and asked if he could repair my sons PS4 as stopped working. Said to bring in the afternoon this same day. Surprisingly quick service. I'd been told by other places, that to get our ps4 looked at it, it would take about a month to get it back. If you just want a TL;DR, yes, Advanced Electronic (AE) is highly recommended. It's evident from my experience with AE that the technician takes the extra mile to diagnose and fix the issue. He would provide a breakdown of the items in the invoice, if you are into that; but at the end of the day I think it's a fair price that was charged. If you yearn for a little more rationale behind "highly recommended, 10 out of 10 would use again", then let me share with you this story of mine. I had an old console with a broken optical drive, which otherwise worked fine. Googled the issue, it's a common problem, with a common solution. Just needed to swap the drive with a new one. Plenty of videos online. So if I were to DIY, just order the drive online, swap the drive, happy ending. But as I read more about it, while the fix worked for 90% of the time, there are cases which require further diagnosis. By that stage it's no longer following instructions of "turn this screw; take this cable out", but rather it's closer to the realm of following scarce instructions but not truly knowing what you are doing. I looked up the price of ordering a new drive, the amount of time and hassle of doing the fix myself, the potential for panic and frustration after finding the console is still not working after spending 30 - 40 minutes unscrewing things, and decided to inquire a professional. I checked another franchise before finding AE. As was expected with a franchise, they wouldn't commit to anything when you ask them questions. Only some stock answers, and they needed you to put down a deposit. To be fair, from a business point of view, it's not nefarious to ask for a deposit when you don't know if the customers would ever come back and just leave the broken stuffs with you after the initial diagnosis and they find the quote is too high. It's just that I couldn't even get some basic technical answers when talking with them, because the receptionist was just that, a receptionist. I then looked at AE. The good thing about AE is that you can talk to the person who is actually going to do the fix. You want nitty-gritty answers? This is as close as you can get. And to my surprise, I didn't need to put down a deposit. You have to understand, fixing stuffs always carry the uncertainty of not really knowing what the true cause is, even for a veteran. You may have some ideas, but you never really know. And the fix in question includes ordering parts for some old stuffs, so to be able to get the tech to agree to try the fix without needing a deposit gives you some relief as a customer. I can't say this would apply for every case, but hey, that's what happened to me. When the part finally arrived, I was informed it didn't fix the issue. I wasn't that disappointed, since I knew this could happen from my research. But then a day later I was notified that the fix was done after swapping out an additional component. If it was me doing the DIY, I probably wouldn't have known it; and it's not like I would have the second component handy to immediately experiment anyway. So all in all, my problem was fixed because the tech was willing to do some additional poking around. It may not be possible for AE to be able to fix every single issue on this planet, but you know it's a shot that is as good as it gets if AE's on the job.

Tucked away in a tiny workshop in suburban North Auckland is the answer to a desperate gamer's prayer - Advance Electronic 2000. We took our suddenly-unresponsive PS 4 to Shahyar at 11.00 in the morning and he had it back to us fixed by 12.20. This is old school type service at its best - no flash company offices or anything, just a workshop inhabited by a dedicated professional who is an expert at what he does. If your console's on the fritz, don't make the mistake of thinking, "Oh well, time to replace it." Take it to this guy first. The chances are, he can fix it.

I dropped off my PS4 Pro to this service with a noisy hot fan and faults with the Bluetooth and WIFI repeatedly dropping and issues with games slowing down. The fan and heatsink were almost completely blocked with dust, and the thermal paste had failed. Both were cleaned and the thermal paste replaced and the bluetooth and wifi chip was also replaced. The end result is my PS4 Pro running more quietly than it did when it was brand new, and the bluetooth and WIFI are rock solid reliable, and even demanding games like Horizon Forbidden West are running quietly and smoothly. Service had excellent communication, top notch work, and was easy to deal with and had excellent protocols for covid safe drop off and pick up. Highly recommend this service for quick and quality repairs.
