I call this the farm in the city. I love coming here to watch cows and sheep graze. They are released on pasture, fenced off. You don't have to worry about them passing their poop, or they blocking your passage. Sometimes I see some peacocks, chickens and even ducks come here. Halfway up the hill there is a cafe with a good view. There is a BBQ area, it's near the main parking lot of the park. Especially in winter there is a very beautiful magnolia garden and a cherry blossom path around October.

Lovely place. Big and spaces lots of greenery areas for young and old to explore even for seeing the cows or even counting the sheep. Good place to have picnic and BBQ and relax. Love the place very much. Different season you see different scenery.

This is one of the best spots in Auckland!!! I’m a photographer, so every corner presents a new photo opportunity🙌 I love this spot for photo shoots, catching up with friends and dog friendly! So many flowering trees. The cafe is an absolute MUST as well! Family friendly and a cute kids playground too.

Such a beautiful place, or little one loves the big open spaces he can just run and run aswell as the sheep. I love that the kids get to see animals up close but safely. Great place for a walk, a picnic or just to get some fresh air

It is a good place to visit for whole family. There are kid's playground, restaurant and coffee shop, BBQ place. And also great place to have celebration like b'day party, anniversary or even wedding. I used to walk every morning there when I was pregnant. So relaxing.

Very spacious park with plenty of different views, trees and nature you can enjoy. There are benches, gazebos, BBQ facilities and toilets in the park. There is also a playground. Totally recommend bringing a picnic mat, chair, food, and/or a good book, games, etc.

This is such a great park just on the outskirts of the city. There is plenty of grassy areas to walk and run around in. There is also a kids playground by the observatory. You have to walk up to the summit but there is parking close to it. There are also a lot of other things to see around the park such as the rotunda or the myriad of trees lining the paths. There is also a cafe if you were getting pecking or want an indoor rest. There isn't a way to drive from the main entrance on Greenlane West to the playground area so you'd have to get out of the park and get in the other entrance. It is a nice place to spend a few hours or so just being outside.

One of the most amazing parks I have ever been too in the whole world!! Lots of parking, drinking water, toilets, wild life and you can spend hours there! Definitely recommend walking around the whole park and up the hill to see the view! Total km 6.6 if you walk around the whole past and go up to the memorial hill!

Best place to go walking with dogs. Gorgeous big park where you can always find a quiet spot and shade. And there's always lots of rubbish bins around. Constantly finding new places, love it

One of my favorite parks. Beautiful setting for picnics, strolls, bike rides and all things outdoors. Scenic views all-round for the family to adore and explore. Walkways all through the park surrounded by trees of all shapes and sizes, various plants, playground for children and a lookout. An animal friendly park thats spacious enough for all to have a slice of space for their families to comfortably enjoy.

Fantastic for family gatherings and walks! Very safe with lots of closed roads to walk on. The sounds of birds everywhere makes it super relaxing!

One of the largest parks in Auckland great for a walk,picnic and peaceful green views. Best time is during Autumn and Summer!

Go here often, good for all ages. Walking, cycling, etc. Bbq facilites, day out with the family. Multiple entry points.

I really liked his park! After just moving back to NZ, it made for a great day out. The views and the walks are incredible. It was a great experience and would def come again and would recommend!

One of my favourite places. In the heat, the coolness under the trees makes for a great picnic. BBQ faculties. Lovely now that there is less vehicle traffic. Kids can scoot on the road in twin oaks. Dogs love it.

I wish I could rate this place more than 5 star !!! I have been to this place multiple times , everytime I come here, this place amazes me with its Beauty, close to Nature feel , cute lil Sheeps, beautiful amazing view of city from One Tree Hill , never ending well maintained Landscapes , in springs beautiful flowers are even bonus and in autumn empty branches makes park beautiful as well. I often come here with my wife and we get recharged / refreshed for rest of the week.

To have such a wonderful 'green space' for everyone to enjoy is amazing. A great place to walk, stretch the legs and just be outdoors surrounded by old oak & olive trees, lots of fields, see a few sheep, cows and an historic old home. Walk from my side to the other, climb to the top of the dormant volcano and finish it all off with a coffee or wine or ice cream. 👌

Absolute delight to visit. So many lovely spaces; secluded or in the open. Bring a blanket and picnic basket and turn off your phone. All those joyful families, running children and brisk walking passerbys are a delight to watch. Not into people? The whistle of the wind, a passing wood pigeon or daring sparrow surely will entrance you.

Often go hiking or bicycle riding through the park. Amazing views and sometimes the sheep and cows are wandering in their grassy areas in the park.

I adore this place, particularly in the golden hour of autumn when it's a little chilly. It can be very fairytale-like at times. Gorgeous trees, rolling hills, and incredibly cute farm animals. The monolith at the top of the mountain has a bit of an eerie, ominous vibe which gives this place even more of a fantasy-esque atmosphere. Love it.

The best open park in Auckland A large park with much open grassed and forest area Well-kept toilets. A SECURITY OFFICER drives around so all feel safe. Great the elderly and young dogs that are under control welcome. YES The place for all young and old, a great day out

Beautiful park witn large mature trees and great areas to walk

Beautiful place to run or stroll around. It has a lovely community vibe and people of all ages and ethnicities are about enjoying their day. I went on a Tuesday and the place was fairly busy. I think the park would be at peak in Spring when the cherry blossoms are out. In the midst of Summer when I went it wasnt so green and a lot of the beautiful flowers had dried up in the heat. Nevertheless a lovely day out

It is famous for its mountain bike course, and light hiking is also possible.From short to long courses, many hiking courses are very good. It takes about two hours to climb two courses. As you walk through the pine forest, you can enjoy the coolness to your heart.

If you like walking in surroundings were there are trees and would like to catch up with some Auckland history this is the place to go to. One of the most pleasurable parks we have in Auckland. A meal with a foreign touch is also available after your exploits in the park. Highly rated for a family excursion.

Beautiful park with ample parking and clean toilets. We go here early in the mornings for group exercises but even when the sun comes up, there are plenty of trees that provide shade. There are also water fountains to refill water bottles etc.

I've been at Cornwall Park twice within the past 4 years and both visits have been moderately satisfactory. The park has a lot of hilly landscape with attractions like old mossy stone structures, sheep and other animals roaming around. The main problem I had was after the first time hiking around the trail, I noticed the bizarre smell of manure decomposition and the humidity was fairly disturbing within the first 100 steps into the park from Stardome entrance.

Been going for years. There is something for everyone. Spaces for family picnics with plenty of shaded areas, looking at the animals with kids (cows, sheep, birds), seeing the views of Auckland city and suburbs, or exercising around the mountain with the ability to increase difficulty.

Cornwall Park is one of our favourites. Beautiful walks, good coffee, and a great place for picnics. Our kids lovely riding their bikes near the cafe.

Plenty of space and lots of walkways in the park. There is a Cafe in the park that offers good range of food for dine in and take away as well. Suitable for all size picnics.

No better place, all year round. Kids love scootering or biking and sometimes the roads are closed to cars which makes it all the more fun. Otherwise there are footpaths all around wide enough and good for a pram too

Huge park with all types of facilities for day parties and get together. Party, drinks, socialize and even BBQ...all can be accommodated at one place. Also if you are in a mode of light walk or run ..this is the place to be. Highly recommended

Huge park, perfect place to walk around during a bright, sunny day. There's also a cafe, and some areas where you can setup a barbecue. You'll also see some sheep walking around, chomping on grass 🐑 The park is apparently also home to thousands of trees, including beautiful cherry blossoms that are a perfect sight in spring!😍

If you're heading to Cornwall Park makes sure it's a Saturday and it's 8am. As you'd find yourself in the middle of the park run and suddenly you'd be running 5kms for the rest of your life. No doubt Cornwall park boasts lush greenery and some BBTs (Big Beautiful Trees) with sheep and cattle grazing on the field. The Park Run brings in the fun and humour every Saturdays. You can visit this place all year round and walk up to the One Tree Hill, which could be quite the climb and from top you can have a nice 360 view of the whole of Auckland. There are two well run cafes inside the park and plenty of spots to sit down and let your thoughts take you to the tip of those old but gigantic trees in the summer or ruffle your palms and nose through the dew on the grass in winter. Or you could see the whole dynamic of the park change during autumn as you tread along a carpet of leaves on the ground. One of my favorites places in Auckland.

Cornwall park always is a solution when you just wanna go out and chill It’s a huge park which you can any activity in Skateboarding, bike riding, free play…. Specially it’s a nice spot for photo shooting

More than one tree... This park definitely has been around for many years and the fact that every corners of the park are amazingly well kept, it deserves a 5 stars rating. The ambiance in this park produces peace and tranquility, and while it drizzles, and waiting for my wife, I fell asleep. Definitely a 5 star rating park!

Such a great place to have close to the city, it is well loved and patronised by many. Always good for a family day out, two nice cafes as well.

Had a lovely birthday lunch with my friend and her family. Table was perfect, right by open windows so cool breeze flowing through and could see out to grounds.

One of the best parks in Auckland where you can chill out even being in the city. It's a huge park where you need to take your time to walk around it though. I really recommend to come here, such a beautiful place. Have no words to describe this place.

Great go to place for a walk/ run/cycle,say Hi to some friendly people, take in some history or see a working Farm, grab a bite to eat afterwards or plan a High Tea. Or pop into the Observatory. Chill in the Park, watch some Archery. Plan a picnic. Lots of options to choose in a beautiful spot.

I love going to this park. The park is huge. I walk around the mountain a lot and have climbed it a couple times. The view from up top is amazing. You see the whole city pretty much from here. If your ever hungry head over to the cornwall bistro. Their service is beyond spectacular. Food is delicious. Staff make you feel welcome and have a good laugh. Highly recommend the visit.

A wonderful park in the south of Auckland! It has nearly everything what you ask for if you want to visit a park: a lot of grass, mountains, crater, old trees, sheep and cows, restaurants with clean toilets etc. If you want to discover everything, you need some time. Oh, and don't pet the cows, they can get angry ;D

I truly was taken back with not only the beauty of the Cornwall Park but all that it had to offer. This is an amazing place, I would suggest that those going for the first time put on comfortable walking shoes and comfy clothes. There are BBQ facilities as well and is a great place for a family picnic.

Beautiful park. Excellent place to go for a walk or run. There is an interesting bistro with an amazing view of the city. It is quite hilly, and the roads and sidewalks aren’t fully prepared to assist you go all the way up with some struggle. The location is easy to access and even if you don’t live in the area, going there to jog or play with your dog is an excellent plan.

Amazing park, you could spend the whole day and not be able to see it all, went for a café first before starting the walk, the service was amazing and the café was pretty surrounded by trees and fresh cut grass, will definitely go back next week.

Perfect place for family activity. Free BBQ place but limited space. Plenty of car park space. It has a nice cafe in here too. You can have lovely coffee time while kids go crazy.

This was the last mystery stop for the Amazing-Race challenge arranged for the ladies in church. After the adrenalin rush, this was the perfect spot for a relaxing picnic.

A functional working farm in the middle of the city. What's not to like. Wonderful place to walk or run. Have BBQs. Take the dog for a walk. Meet up with friends and family. Take photos of the animals and gardens or have your wedding photos taken. Enjoy the views of the city or the local cafe. can get quite busy on sunny days as half of Auckland might be there. Always a good visit anytime of the year.

This is a beautiful park! It's really large that even though I came about 6 times, I never got to see it all. It's a great park for a run out just walk around. There's sheep and cows in certain areas just roaming. The climb up to One Tree Hill is beautiful and the views amazing.

Beautiful park to wander around in! When you walk on to if the one tree hill, you get this magnificent 360° view over all of Auckland + you get to share your walk with the sheep that she walking all around. Prefect get away for a morning or afternoon

Great big open park. Walk or run up to the top of One Tree Hill. Can no longer drive to the top but can stop at carpark half way to get to the top. Really satisfying walk and the panoramic view is sensational. Landmark of Auckland 👍

Cornwall Park is an expansive parkland in Epsom near the heart of Auckland, New Zealand, surrounding the park containing Maungakiekie pa or the hill of One Tree Hill. The two independent parks form one large park of 670 acres (270 hectares). Cornwall Park is an Oasis in Auckland City. The Park has centuries-old heritage sites, wide-open spaces, tree lined avenues and walks, places of peace and tranquility in a large city, sports grounds including tennis and bowls and a working farm for the education of city children. John Logan Campbell, Auckland resident since 1840 and, at the time of this gift, mayor, gave the park's 230 acres to a private trust on 10 June 1901. The adjoining Park Maungakiekie had been purchased by the national government in 1845. Campbell chose to present the deeds the following day to the visiting heir to the throne, the Duke of Cornwall and York later George V asking his consent for it to be named Cornwall Park in honour of the Duke. A few weeks later the adjoining Alexandra Park was named in honour of the Duke's mother.

Definitely one of my favourite parks in the city. It is amazing to have such a big green space so close to the central. You can walk or bike up the summit and be rewarded with a beautiful 360 degrees view of the city, from Rangitoto to the Waitakere ranges and the Manukau harbour on the West Coast. The park also has a lot of spaces for family picnics and bbq. If you come in spring, make sure you don’t miss out the Cherry blossom trees near the entrance on Greenlane road. Oh and did I mention the cute farm animals that you can often see here all year round? Come to check out Cornwall Park anytime of the day, you will always enjoy it.

So peaceful here it is the perfect spot for a walk after a long days work. It is always very pretty in autumn for photos too.

The park is great for trail running and walking the dog. As it is a working farm with about 300 sheep and 60+ head of Simentaller cattle one easily forgets that you are slapbang in the middle of Auckland. The two restaurants jave great food. There is also a park run on Saturdays. It is always a good place to break away to.

Cornwall Park is a great place to get away from the city environment for a hour or so. I love the colours of the changing sessons here. Lots of room to go walking without too much interruption from others. There is a great little cafe / restaurant, but it can get quite busy when the sun is shining :)

Great place to walk the dog and have a picnic lunch, if you have a dog stay away for the BBQ area, chicken bones all around the place.

Favourite Auckland park. Perfect terrain for running. If you stick to the main path and run 2 laps you can fit in your 5k :) (there is also a Park Run on saturday near the Gazebo). Lots of cute lambs and calves in the spring with awesome year round flora. There are two restaurants/cafes. One large one by the twin oaks carparks (Bistro) which is better for a more expensive meal. To the left of that is am awesome gelato kiosk. Near the Greenlane entrance is the Cornwall Park Cafe with has an awesome spread of slices and brunch options. Great place to catch up with friends. Further round, is the One Tree Hill summit with amazing panoramic views of Auckland and an interesting story to find more about at the top. At various parts of the year (when the animals arent grazing) you can take a more rugged style walk up (~10mins to the summit) or you can just follow the paved road up for a more easy direct way up. If you exit Cornwall Park via the Greenlane entrance and cross the road you will notice there is an extension of Cornwall park with many sports fields to the right. At the very top you will find an incredible fountain and statue.

Absolutely beautiful. Public park with lots of paths and a working farm with cattle and sheep. Saw some quail and a pheasant too. Couple of cafes and toilets.

Absolutely stunning park. Very well kept and clean. I completed a Parkrun here and I loved it.

The park has some interesting looking trees and a very interesting looking restroom. The walk up to the top was great for us with teenagers (the seniors stopped half way and just hanged a bit longer at the park). And the view from the top and on the way down was grand (we saw sunset and sheep roaming around)

A must see place in Auckland full of simple joys of life and a nice place to have picnic on a sunny day or jogging if weather is not good enough. A close encounter with domestic animals in the park would be a great experience for the kids.

Blossomtreess are in full bloom now, beautiful. The entrance on the opposite side of the road, which leads to the fountain also has some blossomtrees, but less, with fewwer people around.

Great spot for picnics and large spaces for kids to run around. The park is enormous with lots of sheep and other sorts of animals. Not to worry as the animals are in different sections and won't bother you as they will be behind fences.

Honestly love this place man!!! Its so zen despite attracting so many people day in day out. Definitely one of my default places to go. So if you live in Auckland and haven't been to Cornwell Park yet - just go. #noregrets :)

A truly stunning Auckland city asset. You’ll need to visit this park at least once to try and take it all in. We live on the back of Cornwall Park and are lucky enough to call the place home. A beautiful selection of Trees, grounds, farm animals, safe play for kids, dog walking, bike riding, bird spotting...... the list is endless

Cornwall Park, a beautiful open space in the heart of Auckland. You could fit thousands of people here and still not feel crowded. Lovely ancient trees, perfect for kids that love climbing and many lovely paths for walking,.scooting or skating. There are also many public bbq stations and picnic spots as well as cafe and public toilets.

Love love love the park, so spacious, it's great to be close to nature and family gathering here. Foods are great, always have a good mood coming back

Cornwall Park is a beautiful place to visit. Picnic under the trees. Walk to the summit of One Tree Hill (Maungakiekie) to view all of greater AUCKLAND. Learn about the history of the park. Discover the remnants of pre-European settlement. Observe the volcanism that created this area. We are so lucky to have such a park so close to the city.

A beautiful park with pretty nature all around. The sheep are an awesome sight. This was the first place we visited in New Zealand (this was close to the airport), and it was a very welcoming sight. The giant herd of sheep was my family's favorite part of this park, but the entire park is worth walking around and seeing.

Stunning oasis In Auckland. Beautiful mature trees, sweeping lawns, great views, lots of trails, two different food outlets, a great information centre in Huia Lodge, the historic Acacia Cottage, etc, etc.... I only wish I’d had more time there.

Never knew Auckland has so many great places to explore! Spent an entire afternoon at Cornwall Park just going for walks with my daughter. Managed to push the pram from one end all the way to the other side where the playground is, with a brief hike up One Tree Hill. Amazing scenery, sp much green. Love the outdoors.

We're just so very lucky to have such a beautiful place right in the middle of the city. Staff and grounds keepers are very attentive and the park is very tidy and clean.

We had a lovely lunch at the Bistro. My husband raved over his overdone steak which was what he wanted. The waiter was bery helpful and friendly.

Great Park full of birds and farmlife. Today was great q lot of roads closed to traffic meant there was a lot of room for everyone to walk and enjoy the sun.

Cornwall Park is one of the best green acres in Auckland, New Zealand. Such a wonderful place to visit any time of the day, here you are surrounded by huge ancient trees, lovely cows 🐄, Sheep, and you can hike till One tree hill.. Great location for groups or smaller parties wanting to go for a walk. Directions in the park can be a bit confusing but it's a nice day out there and all for free!

Top spot...an amazing open space in the centre of a large city, just walk and enjoy.

Very nice parkrun in this park on Saturdays. Beautiful scenery. Fairly hilly course with a 60 metre elevation. Friendly volunteers.

Cornwall Park is my favorite place in Auckland. You won't get any older, more beautiful trees and gorgeous scenery. The walk up the peak is a great way to break a sweat, and there are tons of places to cycle, skate, run... whatever floats your boat. Go and have a government approved picnic.

Absolute gem of a park. Spacious, green, well-maintained. The walk to the summit is just arduous enough to get a little sweat on, but the view makes up for it. A 360 degree view encompassing the Hauraki Gulf on one side and the Waitematā Harbour on the other, stunning. Have a walk around the imposing cenotaph once you’re at the summit.

It is such a big, picturesque park. I love that you can walk through the paddocks with the cows and sheep that was awesome.

It's a cool place to run and have fun with your mates. Also there is a cool playground where my brother got a black eye cuz he fell of the playground bridge. It was funny

At the northern end of Cornwall Park lies Puriri Drive between Greenlane Road and Campbell Crescent. With the manicured pitches of Cornwall Cricket Club next to the hospital busy with matches in summer; the Carlton Rugby Club host Saturday rugby games during the winter months and touch rugby from October through to March. Great place to park your car and walk the numerous tracks available to soak in the fresh air and livestock right in the heart the city. Public restrooms, two cafes and an icecream store are very popular all year round. A must see place to go. Views from One Tree Hill are epic and give amazing 360 degree views of Auckland.

Lovely place to relax and picnic. Bit crazy at this time of year as far as trying to park. There's currently no access to the Bistro side of the park from Manukau Road entrance...coned off when we tried to get through. Best to access from Green Lane West on to Pohutukawa Drive. Ps. Google sends you on a route that is not currently accessible...use Green Lane West entrance.

Bring the kids & let them run off that extra energy or play in the playground. If you want to relax in the sun with friends, you can. It is also great for picnics or a coffee at the cafés there. It’s also fun to watch the archers at the archery club.

Our favourite local park with so many features natural and man made, farm animals, wild birds both native and imported, stands of native and exotic trees/shrubs, walking tracks, cafes, play grounds, exercise yard, wood and gas fired BBQs... list goes on. It is pretty popular so do yourself a favour and walk/bike to here rather than trying to find a carpark. Various buses will drop you near the North, East and West footpath entrances, plus the walk from Greenlane TrainStn is only abt 20mins.

One of my favorite places in Auckland. The hustle and bustle of the city is dulled out as you feel like you're in a beautiful forest/farm haven. Highly recommend to go during the spring/autumn season as you see all the beautiful blossoming flowers and changing colours of the trees. A great experience for the little ones with the cows and sheep you can see.

We were at the park for a photoshoot. Our photographer picked the spot. It was underneath one of the biggest trees near the entrance. The place was full of photo enthusiasts. Apparently the timing, lighting and season with leaves falling was the best time to take photos. Had a great time being one with nature and family. We were lucky to quickly find parking. Highly recommended.

Stunning park. Great to visit and just take a stroll through. Bunch of sheep, some black sheep too. If the sun's out you could use the barbecue pits too. If you don't have your own car, Uber is notorious for not getting your location right in the park.

This is a great place to get together with friends and family there are even BBQ facilities supplier to the public which is awesome huge open grounds and operating far is located here... even on a busy day there is plenty of room to find space for yourself although there are easier is here it is best to pack a barbecue and a picnic basket of your own food let the kids just run around or explore One Tree Hill itself and a nice garden or just walk the extensive tracks that crisscross this large open park..

Drivein movie experience was ok the kids loved it. However, you need tell people at the gate or on the app how to "listen" to the movie! No one told us and the radio station flashed so quickly on the screen it was missed. Burger Burger was great but needed better selection.

We really love this park. My son just learn how to walk few weeks ago. Grass in the park is generally well maintained so my little one can run and I won’t be worried if he falls. They also have cows and sheep that my son can see something real from his storybooks. A nice place to go for a picnic. And plenty of parking. However it’s get a bit windy sometimes, better to go with a light jacket.

Probably the best park in Auckland. It's a great place for a walk, run, cycle. A great time to visit now with all the baby lambs around. You can also see pheasants, quails, tuis and many other birds.

Popped in to stretch my legs in between hospital appointments. Got a park straight away. As usual this has to be one of NZs best parks. Absolutely beautiful all year round. People were enjoying the winter sun and even saw a young couple having their wedding photographs!!

On a nice day it is very enjoyable and safe to take a slow walk thru Cornwall park. Its also possible to drive through, although you wont have the same time to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.

This is one of Aucklands top 10 must do things! Beautiful park and trees with iconic One Tree Hill in the middle. U2 wrote a brilliant song in the same name. Try going to the top with that tune on your headset! Its a great place for a walk or picnic or cycle. Especially nice in spring or autumn!

Beautiful park and facility, we picked a perfect weather day as well to have the family together and the entire park was buzzing with people. It seemed like just about every country of the world was represented and it really was just an ordinary neat Auckland day, busy but room in abundance except the Cafe Restaurant they were very very busy. On days like this definitely bring food and drinks yourself and have a great picnic. When a really hot a summers day Cornwall Park is a must nicer place to visit than the beach, heaps of shade and safe room to play for both adults but especially the children.

One of the largest public parks in Auckland. This is where the famous One Tree Hill is located. You can have a picnic here with thier amenities like tables and benches and of course an electric grill free of charge. People also jog and walk around the park and some bring their dogs along. Parking is generally enough except when you go up One Tree Hill.

A truly beautiful park at any time of year.

We went there last Oct 13th 2019 just to see the cherry blossom trees. It was our first time to see those trees as well as our first time to visit the park.

Nicely kept grounds. Good place to let the kids run free. Dogs must be kept on a leash. But otherwise there are plenty of owners taking their dog for a walk.

Not easy to find parking space during weekends. Economical way and lots of nice spots to hold a private get together. We've seen wedding reception, bridal shower, baby shower and many more events happening at the same time.

One the oldest and most established parks in Auckland and home to One Tree Hill of U2 fame. Owned by a private trust not government or city so for example drones are absolutely banned. Recently cars were banned from the summit. Run as a farm park, so cows and sheep up close. Great views of the city after a brisk walk. Gates are closed at night. Otherwise free entry. My granddaughter at 6 yo said on reaching the top "I can see the whole sky".

The best place in Auckland!! Relax under the shade of the trees, or enjoy a relaxing walk. Forget the city when you are here!

Peaceful and quiet (most of the time) with the noise of the city a distant hum. My wife and I love going to Cornwall Park for walks, taking in a different route and scenery each time. I particularly enjoy the bird life there, including large pheasants, guinea fowl and quail. A lovely spot in an otherwise busy city.

Very family orientated. Picnics and ball games. Lovely eat-in or takeaway, your choice. Lots of gradient walking culminating to a ever decreasing spiral path up to the obelisk. Loads of parking. Dogs on leash I believe. Spectacular 360 deg views across Auckland at the top.

Lovely big park with walkways and a cafe if you need a coffee. Great for bringing a ball a picnic and bikes for the kids. Many happy memories picnicking at Cornwall park as a family.

Great park, lots of activities, ideal for all ages and everyone! Very wheelchair & accessibly friendly. Loved by dogs, bicycles, scooters, children, roller skates etc... Great place to meet and greet, large sheltering trees, farmland. Hardly realise your in the middle of Auckland.

Beautiful place, if you appreciate viewing and being amongst some of the most stunning specimen trees in the world then you can't miss this place. The best of both NZs native species and exotics. Great place to take kids.

Room for park users to settle in for the day on a rug under a shady tree. You are able to have good space between families without interrupting their enjoyment or sleeping children and adults napping. There is space to be found for ball games such as t-ball, cricket or soccer without disruption picnics. A lovely posie for family and friends to while away a sunny summer day in an established city park 🦋

Spring flowers are awesome ... seem even more nice plantings around the One Tree Hill loop walk than usual. Fabulous being able to walk around on the road now cars cannot go around. Lots of other walkers. Cafe fabulous as ever too.

Cornwall Park is an amazing park in Auckland. You have a lot of space, the One Tree hill (with the monument), a nice café and a bistro. It's always filled with families, couples etc. enjoying the day, a picnic or whatever they feel like. It's big enough so that no matter how crowded it gets, it never feels crowded since you can always find your own spot far away from others if you prefer more quiet time. It's also well-maintained and you have toilets, BBQ etc.

Don't really understand why we can't drive around it. Lovely place but I've spent my entire life having access to it so the restrictions kinda suck. Lovely clean toilets and great for a walk around.

Always a great place to bring the family, have an event or spend some time alone. You'll usually find some group of people doing some thing weird and wonderful. There's so much to explore and it's easy to lose track of time trying to see it all!

Cornwall Park has something for everyone, right through the year..Plenty of parking, two Cafe, including the new one near Greenlane end, my favorite part of Cornwall Park are the free wood BBQS..There's about 6 in front of the circular carpark, and the park ranger supplies all the wood mostly prepared for making a fire 🔥 ..and cooking sausages. The kids love this unique Urban experience. Particularly good after a family walk in the park and nearby One Tree Hill Domain. I love the big trees too,.and farm animals and daffodils and tulips 🌷 in early spring..A truly beautiful place..Make a picnic and take your friends..One of the biggest green areas in central Auckland, its truly memorable all year round for walking and family fun, or individually.

Always a pleasure to enjoy the park with family and friends. However the road closures were absolutely annoying making it difficult to get to where we needed to and having to move cones so we could go back to the turn we should have taken. Took us 3 entry points to the park to get to where we needed to get to. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Great venue if you need lots of space. Playground is good but not many options for kids under 2 to play on. It also gets packed around lunchtime. There is a flying fox next to the stardome for older kids to enjoy.

For flat walks without incline & sheep excrements, go on the Manukau Road side of Cornwall Park. The One Tree Hill side is vast with moderate inclines and plenty of sheep droppings.

Such a beautiful place. I'm always in absolute bliss when I walk around the park. The lambs are now out, running around and are so cute. The BBQs are burning, bellowing that beautiful aroma of cooked lamb cutlets, it's a warning for the adjacent farm animals letting them know. They're next!
