I walked in the door not really knowing anything about car audio but the people here were really helpful. They looked at my car and then catered to my needs and suggested options accordingly. They then priced up something and worked around my schedule to get it done, providing me with a courtesy car so I could go to work while they did it. They managed to fit my car in that same day and it was all done. Very nice work and nice professional finish. I will be going back to these guys. Highly recommend!

Hi folks, got the boys to install a new Pioneer stereo with CD, Bluetooth and all the bling including reverse camera. Fast and efficient service. It’s been months having my Focal 165AS installed at Jonvy Audio, the sound quality has been significantly improved, it’s exactly what I’ve expected. Focal is a French brand that I’ve known for over 20 years, but it seems the market here in New Zealand has yet to give Focal a rightful place. My car is a transit van, like the most modern vehicles nowadays the one-piece integrated infotainment is the constrain, and my car is still under factory warranty, therefore I’ve got no choice but to simply replace the front speakers. Focal didn’t let me down, after giving the speakers a run-in period, the sound is getting better and better. To my experience, speaker brands like Panasonic, Sony etc will give you rich or boomy sound which most people will like, but it just “too artificial” to my taste, it sometimes makes the sound unnatural or overkilled. The Focal 165AS gives me a clear and crisp “nature” sound even without an amplifier and a decent head unit. Well, 165AS is just an entry level product, and of course there are better Focal speakers, but you will need amplifier to get the most out of it otherwise it’s totally waste of money. Please also don’t get me wrong, Panasonic and Sony are also good speakers, it depends on your personal preference and what music genre you’d love to listen. All speakers can do all, but to my understanding Panasonic and Sony are more pop music/rock/H.metal biased, you can’t go wrong if you love those music genre, but if you love to hear more natural sound details such as the vibration of the vocal cords and instrument strings, metallic touches, then go for Focal, go for a senior model with an amplifier if your affordability allows you to do so. The most of all, I strongly recommend Jonvy to everyone, Jonathan and his team are true professionals with remarkable workmanship and whole bunch of brands and products to choose from, they will give you the best tailored options that suits all level of customers and within your budget. Simply amazing! I came across Jonvy when looking for a place early last week to replace the factory headunit in our Atenza. Dropped them an email and Danni walked me through the process, install costs and options for headunits and speakers. Recommendations were great, I wasn't upsold at any point and the comms were crystal clear. Got the car booked in a few days later, and job was completed on time and to the quote supplied ($10 more for an aerial adaptor - that was it). Install is clean, they removed a couple of older cables I no longer needed and I'm super happy with it so far (it's only been a few hours). Will definitely go back as and when we need more work done. Highly recommended - thanks for the great service folks!

Can't say enough good things about this stellar company. Its the gem of Glenfield in terms of suupport and customer service. I popped in on my day off and did not have a booking to get a car radio sorted as mine had died. Not only were they fully booked, Lawrence the owner said he could fit me inbetween which they did and called me when they were ready. he then took the time to talk over the new radio, setting it up and making sure all was well. He was very knowledgable and helped me choose the right radio for my car in terms of use and price. the lovely receptionist there was also very nice and I am looking forward to seeing you all again when you move to your new premises! wishing you all the very best and keep up the excellent service! I was recommended to Jonvy by a colleague of mine and I’m honestly so happy that I found this store. I own a 2006 LEXUS is250 that was a Japanese import for years I have only been able to use the CD changer built in to the car. Until today when Dani and her team were incredibly helpful and friendly and installed an x-link Bluetooth connector in to my car and for the first time in 10 years I can finally listen to my Spotify through the speakers in my car…I am beyond HAPPY the service was fast and friendly and I would highly recommend them thank you for all your help 10/10

Wow. I'm so happy with the service and value of this place. Only took 45mins and $90 to install my head unit and it looks so great. They also give you a 12 month warranty free of charge which I wasn't even expecting.

Check the product has all the parts that are included in it. Long story short I bought a underseat car sub that didn't come with the plug/leads that it required and wasted half a day going back and forth trying to sort it. Purchased a subwoofer and amplifier from these guys on their website, and products arrived within 3 working days which was choice. Upon installation at home, the amplifier unit was faulty, so I emailed them and they said to send it back for testing. I sent it back, and after testing it I ended up with a new amplifier at no extra cost. These guys are a pleasure to deal with and were completely hassle free throughout the whole process. I've been using Jonvy Auto for all my car Audio and Security needs ever since they opened and I have had many cars go through to them. They have always done a great job and in a timely manner and reasonable prices compared with some around. The Staff have always been polite and helpful and suggested the best items for my requirements (extremely Helpful) they have not only done my audio but also my cameras and Car Alarms. I've had one problem over all those years and they replaced the item for me straight away. I have hunted around for other Audio and Security places and have often left as I have felt as though they are not interested in my business or its to much of a hassle! honestly pleased to say that Jonvy Auto North Shore is not like this and they will forever have my business! Need to Auto gear? go and see these guys! I come all the way from Titirangi west Auckland to the North Shore as I feel these guys are on to it!

Small workshop located in the heart of Glenfield’s “industrial” area, wide range of speakers and services on offer at hard-to-beat prices. The staff are friendly but none more so than a guy named Darryl. Darryl is very easy to speak to, he listens to what you want and, while he’s happy to give you exactly what you pick out, offers his easy to understand advice on the best way to achieve the sound/package you are looking for at the lowest possible prices. His comfortable candour was refreshing, I felt confident I wasn’t being fleeced (as so often happens in retail). I had an alarm and a full system package installed, it came in under my budget (saved $300) and got everything I asked for. What more is there? My advice; call in and ask for Darryl, he will set you right.

You better know what you want before going there. These guys are awesome installers, but terrible at consulting. I needed a new head unit for the car. The only question they asked me - do you care about the brand? I said no, so they installed a Domain unit. Ok then, but it would've been nice to know it had no Bluetooth info display or tracker, so you don't know what's playing and for how long. Radio doesn't allow saving station names, only frequencies. Sound quality is absolutely awful. So no, I don't care about a brand, but it would've been nice to know that half the features I have come to expect from a head unit are missing.

Jonvy is my go-to place for car audio. They have a great range of products at the best prices. They also have a great trademe store. If your looking at going to their store be aware their carpark is quite small so be prepared to park somewhere and walk. Other than that Jonvy is great.

Well my Jap import, (a Toyota Ist), sound system finally died 2 weeks ago. I hate driving in silence!!! After checking out 4 car stereo places for a replacement system I decided to go with JONVY in Sunnybrae Rd, Hillcrest. What a great decision. I arrived, went through the options available to me. Made the decision to buy and drove out an hour later with a fabulous Pioneer AVH-205BT. I'm am over the moon with the system. Thanks for also setting up my phone contacts. Edited: Had a major issue at their East Tamaki branch. The work was unprofessional and the staff were beyond rude. Left as a really unhappy customer up until the company's owner Jon had personally contacted me. He apologized on behalf of his East Tamaki branch and invited me to get a fresh re-installation and refund of a product at his North Shore branch. The workmanship and customer service was great, a complete turn around compared to their East Tamaki branch. I wish I had gone to their North Shore branch in the first place so I could a 5-star rating. Jon also let me know that one of the staff members at the East Tamaki branch no longer works there as he wants to maintain a consistent degree of professionalism and customer service thoughout his company.

The guys in East Tamaki are idiots to work with. I am not a sound junkie so i do not know much in the area of expertise and expected their so called professionals to help me. I took my 10" sub for fitting with a box i inquired about on trademe. They didn't even measure or touch my sub. They just looked at it and said it was an 8". I insisted and said if he was sure, and asked if we could try fit it. He was so confident on the 8" and sent us to Jaycar in Manukau who doesn't sell it. We measured it at Jaycar with a professional and he gave me confirmation it was a 10". I call them back up very pissed off making a complaint about the incorrect and lazy judgement of their professionals and they hang up on me. I wouldn't recommend their service to anyone!!! General Manager made contact with me and apologised for the service provided by East Tamaki branch and gave me the box at a discounted price which was much appreciated. Thank you Jonathan!!

Visited the shop and received Bluetooth installation on my 2004 honda accord in under 2 hours. Really pleased i can play music from my youtube music playlist off my mobile phone. Thanks again for the amazing service.

Great team here that really are the masters in Car Audio. Took my BMW Z3 in with a sound system that was wired up horrendously by previous owner - now have it back all working with speakers booming for the quoted $60 initial investigation / consult fee. Couldn't be happier!
