What can I say? Hats off to Jun! You’re the main man! In my 3* years of existence I was never adventurous with my hair colour. I have long, black, thick hair, a kind of hair that is typical for being an Asian. I went for a balayage and a hair cut and he did a tremendous work on my hair. It suits me and what a nice change that everyone I know and my loved ones were all praises for my new look. Thank you, Jun. I’ll look for you whenever I visit again until then keep safe.

Thank you to Ghazel at Kess sylvia park for doing magic with my hair. After I did my hair at vivo a few days before I was left in tears with them replying with apology but can't fix it as they fully booked. I had to find someone to fix the mess. I got hold of Ghazel at Kess. I'm so happy I found her. She work magic with my hair. She sat down with me we looked at every option to fix my hair and she made sure I understood everything. She was kind and comforting and assured me she will fix it. Thank you Ghazel for understanding and for making me look beautiful. I will recommend Kess salon sylvia park to anyone and Ghazel is the magic worker ask for her. Attached is fotos of my hair. No 1 is what my hair was like before I went into vivo salon No 2 is the colour I asked my blond hair to be with a few blue lines of blue. And to trim the ends. Pls note my hair was very long at the back and now it's all cut off short as that was a trim. 3 years of growing my hair gone in seconds. No 3 is what I walked out with at vivo. No 4 is what magic Ghazel did with my hair.

Went into Kess @ Sylvia Park to get a Haircut, Jun was my stylist, advised him that I had a slight issue with my hair thinning. He gave me a really good haircut by trimming the dead ends and managed to keep the volume by keeping everything in one length and a few layers to frame my face. Overall really happy with the results ! Thanks so much Jun :)

Excellent service! I came to get a full head colour of dark brown from blonde highlights. I originally went to Vivo hair salon in Sylvia Park to have this job done and left quite upset as the hairdresser at Vivo was unpleasant and rude. Kess salon were great. They were able to take me in straight away. The hairdresser who I highly recommend Lehka was very nice and listened to what I wanted. The results came out better than I expected. I was so pleased I chose to come here after my terrible experience at the other salon. They also have laybuy and after pay and the man at reception was helpful and patient in getting that set up for me. Thank you so much Kess and Lehka for the great experience. I'll definitely be back.

I went to have a haircut for the first time at this salon and was most impressed by the expertise of the hairstylist. Jun provided a thorough consultation and after showing him photos of what I wanted, he cut my hair superbly. He spent time on my hair and I could tell from the moment he started cutting and styling he was an absolute professional with many years of experience . Gazal was very friendly n professional interms of customer service n her hair cutting skills were amazing. However was not happy about my hair colour looked lighter from the roots n darker on the outside. I wanted it to look all one colour as it made the roots of my hair look untidy they told me after washing it should settle in after one wash it didnt help. Lets see after second wash.

Had threading on upper lip and eyebrows, nice service rendered. My eyebrows were done perfectly. I would like to advise the staff to keep their hands clean by sanitising every time. A staff took something on the floor then after that she started to do the threading on my face without sanitising. 😐

First time visiting this salon the staff was friendly Professional and excellent at their profession. I will recommend them to anyone. If I could I will travel from Gisborne every month to have the hair and face treatment I need.. Their products are made from natural resources and are Organic.They gave me information on all products so I stocked up.These products will last for a while till my next visit. The Beauty of this salon is that all needs are in one shop hair, facial ,skin care, eye brow shaping and dying the list goes on. Every girls dream. I’ve been to many saloons before but I recommend kess beauty salon is the best for their quality n value for money. The hair colour what I was looking for, I was not sure when I saw the pictures, but when it was all finished, I was surprised that this colour I wanted. I just told him, you are a professional and you now what you are doing. I can’t remember his name, but he’s a male Asian with blue hair colour. I go here to trim my eyebrows and have had great experience with Aniqa. She's given good tips & advice for skin and brows. Eventhough the service was done poorly few months ago, it's better now and I do recommend this place for eyebrow trimming.

I visited Kess Hair and Beauty this afternoon for eyebrow tinting and wax. I was served right away and she listened to what I wanted. She was very precise, gentle and fast. I felt little to no pain with my waxing. In regards to my tinting I showed a picture of what I wanted and she asked me if I wanted to go darker or stay at the colour and I was very impressed that she asked me rather than assume that was what I wanted. A huge thank you to my hairdresser MAIA! I look amazing and ready for my first ever business Central Gala dinner at Cordis Hotel this Thursday night. I work at Auckland Business Chamber as Reception for the Manukau office and will definitely recommend all my family, friends, clients and co-workers. The pricing is cheaper than my previous hairdressers; I paid $500 before for same services and was recommended by family in law to come here instead - and paid $300 for cut of long, thick hair [+layer] @ $55 and highlights $250, I noticed you never charged that extra $5 even though you had a calculator in your hand. So I thank the Indian gentalman there (sorry, never got your name as I was too busy trying to remember Maia's name ;) ). Reading through the previous reviews - yes, the indian guy did interupt the other client hairdresser but that was to see if she would have spare time for other client as you can never be certain how long you will spend there (I spent over 2 hours). I also noticed that it pays to book in instead of just walking through as another customer was wanting a service but didn't have time to wait - the service she was wanting (i think it was eye brows) could only be done by the one hairdresser which she was busy with another client. As you can read, I am very observant (being a reception, it becomes a habit) and their professionalism is of a great standard for New Zealand. All staff are friendly - well they were to me; and it was a great experience being the last customer there and having two hairdresses take care of my hair. I will definitely be back, most probably for just a hair cut this time - I've spoiled my hair too much this year! (wow what a novel) Thank you again, Emeria

I had my hair cut done by Zachy. He did such an AMAZING job with the cut but what made it even better was his customer service! I went around 5 30pm on the first Sunday after lockdown. Had the privilege of having the stylist Juns, who coloured my hair. I had walked in without an appointment & got served straight away which was a bonus. I had shown Juns a photo of what I wanted & my first question to him was “can I get that done?” His response was a straight up no & he gave a good explanation as to why it could not happen LOL. HOWEVER, he gave me alternatives & looked up photos & showed me what I could possibly get. He is a gem & a goddess at fixing my ugly “yellow” hair & gave me reasons as to why it was yellow & how I could maintain & keep my hair the way he did it! Overall - he was informative which is what I liked & he actually took his time & great care of me. He didn’t rush & he actually treated me like he cared about my hair & not like any other customer. I was taken care of by Brianna, and I had amazing service from start to finish. I received a warm welcome, and we had nice little chats while Brianna coloured the regrowth in my hair. She colour-matched perfectly, and even provided tin foil to cover my glasses frames so that I could read magazines while my colour was setting. She gave me a delicious coffee as well. Then at the sink, she gave a wonderful head massage, and checked frequently on my comfort regarding the water temperature. She took the time to dry my really long hair thoroughly, and brushed it gently. She showed me the products she was using, and I ended up buying one of them for myself (a spray-in conditioner). I am a brunette and wanted a change to gold blonde highlights. A month previous I had asked for the same thing at an up market salon and they gave me 4 tiny streaks. Okay so this should be a 5 star to the lady who did my hair. I think her name is Gaswel. I have had real issues with dying my hair in the past, due to how long it is - but she’s done so well and suggested some great products for my naturally thin straight hair. 0 for whom I assume to be the owner. This was my second appointment and both times he sits there really grumpy and is looking at earnings on the computer whilst everyone else runs around. Also interrupted my hair dresser two times to ask if she could fit in another person. I AM GETTING MY HAIR DONE?! does this lady have 4 hands??!??! Do you not have a diary ?!?!?. No professionalism from him at all. The other staff there are really nice. Even a smile on arrival would be sufficient but he is just so miserable. Won’t be going back even though the hair dresser is good cause I really don’t want to pay $300+ to the owner.

I regularly go here to get my eyebrows done. Have been going here for the past 7-8 years. Before the place changed ownership many years ago I used to request the owner/operator to do my eyebrows - she was always fast, efficient and very professional. I could come in and not say a word and she would know what to do and it was perfect. Once it changed owners I used to come and see Zia, and request Zia or only ever come on the days she was working. She like the previous person that used to do my eyebrows was fantastic, I could never fault her. I could come in and not have to say anything because she knew what to do and she was such a lovely person, great customer service. Now she's gone, I still go back but am very hesitant.
