S.Our favourite local cinema. Our kids describe it as being like in a billionaires private movie theatre. The staff are awesome and so friendly too and the food and drink selection is so good. Love the ice creams and chance to have a glass of wine with a movie if I want.
J.Lovely local cinema. Very comfortable with a good sized screen. Foyer entry welcoming. Coffee ice creams and a cafe style menu. Excellent service.

S.This place is fantastic. Huge comfortable seats that are motorised for the best position. Awesome sound and massive screen. Full immersion. Staff are always friendly and personable. Popcorn/wine/icecream available. Clean toilets and right next to Brothers Beer/Chicken on a Wire etc if you want a meal prior/after. Our local and go there regularly.
R.A MUST GO. Small cinemas, great food, comfy electric recliner seat, right next to Orakei Train Station or loads of parking. No pre show ads (yes!) just trailers, a comfortable and luxurious cinema experience. Close to loads of great places to eat if the in house food isnt to your tastes.
o.Great little cinema, has a good selection of food and drinks and is very comfortable. Great seating, with lots of room and fully adjustable chairs with plenty of room for food and drinks. Nicely appointed easy parking. Friendly team. Look foward to seeing the next movie there.

T.For someone who frequents the cinema regularly and then makes it an all-round experience, I like to indulge not only in the cinematic experience, but the nibbles too. As far as the latter goes, it leaves something to be desired - very meh. The venue, ambience, luxury of the movie theatre itself though, is top notch. Definitely my fav to visit!
n.5 stars as a movie house - clean and spacious enough to allow one to recline while patrons walk pass to their seat, but their food is 2 stars. Tasted like heat and eat meals, not very fresh and cold when it was delivered. We ordered pizza, broccoli, arancini and potato skins. If I return, it will be for the movie only.
g.We had a great experience at the Silky Otter Theatre in Orakei. Great selection of food and drinks delivered to you on your luxurious reclining chair. Couldn't be a better way to watch a movie! Will be back for sure.

A.Fantastic place to watch the latest films. Off the main road, and nestled into the top floor of Orakei Bay Village, Silky Otter offers what other cinemas don't. Fine wine, amazing food, luxurious recliners... all at that standard price of any of the major chains. If you really want something great - try the BBQ hotdogs. They are to die for!
H.Lovely team, unlimited popcorn, really nice wines and super comfy seats - didn't smell like a normal stale theatre - a brilliant little theatre way better than the big guys!

G.I really hope these guys make it. They are so welcoming and the concept is great. However COVID must be taking a tool on them. Its a great way to watch a film and the reclining seats really help as does the very good siound system they have.
