We had our son's birthday party on the weekend. The kids had an amazing time, we had a lovely hostess taking the kids through different activities and asking them about their lunch preference. The kids also had bonus points and chose a gift at the end of the party. Food was great, staff were amazing, timely and friendly

Kids loved it here and so did we as parents!!! We went to the arcade side. Good variety of games. The toilets were spotless too and smelled fresh! Will definitely go back!

The arcade was a lot of fun. Most of the staff were really onto it but a couple looked like they were a bit lost some times. A couple games we tried jammed or didn't work which was a little annoying but a staff member was a le to fix what they could and were really good about refunding our money for the games that fritzed out on us. Would definitely go back.

We had our daughter's 8th birthday party and I chose a megazon party with 13 kids in the yellow room. Quite seperated and pretty enough even if I didn't do many decorations. Adults and kids all joined the laser tag and time zone. We all got crazy and enjoyed the food as well. I want to say special thanks to our party host Mikaela. She arranged time and table setting really well. I can feel how she cares that the birthday party process is going smoothly and makes everyone happy. All of them said it was the most amazing party ever. My daughter was really happy and our family recommended a megazone party!!!!! Yeah!!!

Excellent place to lose the kids for a couple hours! You can sit and have a coffee/chips at the cafe, let the kids run wild in the kidszone (slides/ladders/ropes/bouncy castle type). Also has laser tag, timeout arcade gaming, and ten pin bowling. All under one very large roof, it's a huge building. There's a cost to get into kidszone area ($6/$7) per kid, adults free, but we didn't get charged when we went. Overall I'd say it's pretty well suited for ages 2 up to 10 with pretty minimal supervision in a safe environment. Easy to watch your kids and they can play with lots of other kids on the slides etc. I think it's open until pretty late to allow for the ten pin bowling and timeout zone. 'Like' this review if it was helpful!

Tenpin, lazar tag, Dodgems, extreme playground and more all @the one location, snacks and drinks available for purchase. From the booking to the date of the birthday communication was awesome Xtreme Wairau were FANTASTIC my family are still talking about the fun time we had. Great spot to take the kids, plenty of arcade games to keep them occupied along with bowling and laser tag and big kids playground (when not closed due to covid restrictions) Really good deal on the arcades, $80 credit when you buy $50. Bowling lanes also have the option to put the bumpers up only when kids are bowling so you can easily have a mixed adult and child game.

Went there on a rainy Sunday afternoon with the family and it was packed! A great range of games. We played a round of bowling and it was really good. The lane we played (lane 4) felt very smooth and it didnt get many gutterballs due to the even surface of our lane. Theres also food options there and free wifi.

Wow!!! Had so much fun, went there for my daughters 10th birthday party. We had 12 kids, great value for money. The host was amazing, really lovely guy. Initially thought it was expensive but everything was taken care of, nothing to clean up, food was included and they even supplied loot bags. If your bored and not adverse to video/arcade games Xtreme is a cool place to go. It has Driving Sims, Skill Testers, Collectible Card Games, Shooters, Pinball, 10 Pin Bowling, Rhythm Games and more stuff than I care to write about here. Did i mention laser tag? They have prizes and we have won enough tickets to get a few of them. I don't wanna give away our secret to a tower of tickets but one of the images below will give you a clue. Also recently started playing Animal Kaiser EVO 7 and picked up a couple of cool cards, so if your into CCG (Yes I know this isn't MTG but by definition it is a CCG) check out the photos below. All in all if you are bored or have a little to entertain Wairau Xtreme is the place to go. p.s. This is not a sponsored advert... I just love this place :)

Being the school holidays is was very busy which was completely understandable. They had some great package deals on which we went with. Had to book the bowling in advance which we were fine with. Did the other activity form the package. Ordered the beef Nachos.... I wouldn't pay for those again... there is a huge pile of chips with a small amount of beef and way to much guacamole that makes it not worth the $ plain corn chips are not worth $17 which is what makes up most of that dish.

One of the largest Xtreme buildings around, supporting games like lasertag, bowling, climbing and arcade games at the same time. A huge variety of arcade games with your local Wangan and other games. There are no Konami games like SDVX and Jubeat to be seen here, neither is Taiko. 2nd floor seems to be closed.

Excellent facilities, bowling is fun, couldn't ask for a better set up. The lady who was working on Saturday night behind the counter was very very rude, wouldn't let us all play together, wouldn't let the people that were late by 5 minutes play 2 games, told us we should of been there 15 minutes before, when we weren't told that in the booking, and then accused us of not paying for our games properly. Complained to the manager about what happened and he apologized and was very understanding, which made the suituation better, she is the only Staff member that really let's the place down.

Bowling alley was well maintained, however they lost the piece of paper we wrote our names on so had to redo to get the games started. Also ordered food, finished our games and food still wasn't ready. After checking, they had lost the food order too. Bit more care needed for customers requests.

I went here for the arcade as I had credit on my timezone card. I was a little disappointed compared with the Newmarket / Botany. Although it has most of games it is very run down and tightly packed it. If you can get to Newmarket Timezone it is much nicer.

I held my sons 13th birthday today at Extreme .... Everything was great , except , either they were very short staffed , or they were on Vacation , as service was incredibly slow. It just seemed an eternity to recieve our orders. I totally respect , it was School holiday time. But then youd think to have extra staff on for this. It seemed that every time i needed to order something , you had to wait ages for someone to get to the desk to serve you...... & once you order , it took forever to recieve your order. 25mins to get 1x ice coffee , ( thats after i went up to enquire about it & that we had waited nearly half an hour for it. Thats not good enough Yes its school holidays , yes the staff were always polite & lovely , but i also work in the industry of serving the public & seldom get a break bc its so busy...... so i felt your service was terribly slow & terribly lazy , as some of them , didnt seem to care that there were ques & people waiting ages to be served. It seemed like there wasnt enough staff on to carry out the busy load of the day. Otherwise , everything was lovely. The kids had a great time . Its just a real shame the service is so incredibly slow

It was ok, the prices are a bit much. The actual bowling itself was just as good as it usually is, had a fun time. There was only one small annoying thing and it was the fluttering lights above us caused by the fans. Doesn't effect me much, I'd just be worried for an epileptic person.

About the extra person to go inside of lazer tag lady from the counter said the since it’s a father and there is 5 yr old inside and he will be the only one adult he’s free if he play. But the host asked us to pay for the dad. So I got confused which is which. So I end up paying for the dad. And we all enjoyed the party. Thank you!

I was a little disappointed with the service. first they took a long time to attend us, and my guests started to arrive and no one had attended us, and the second and worst disappointment was that I scheduled my daughter's party months in advance and I was waiting for a room for lunch and all the time special photos and privacy with my guests, and they put me in the hall !! I asked if they could please put me in a room and they simply ignored me, I was very disappointed with this whole situation. I sincerely hope that nobody goes through this situation so embarrassing.

This is a great place to take the kids, and not bad for adults too! The food that you can get by the bowling alley is yum. The bowling is good in that the young ones can get the side walls put up. This is good as they can participate' alongside adults. If you have a birthday you can get a special screen on the bowling as well. The entertainment side of the games is good but expensive. Best to go there on Sundays where you get Xtra dollars and play for your money

The arcade isn't huge but there are enough ticket based games to keep the kids entertained and engaged. They also have Mario Kart Arcade which is a great version of the game to play in multiplayer.

Good place to take the kids to let off some steam on a wet day. Need to get a card (free) and load money to play. Most games are "skill tester" types that provide tickets which can be stored on the card and swapped for candy, toys and other things. Can be on the expensive side, especially if your kid isn't that good. Recommend getting the higher priced cards for cheaper play.

Timezone Employees: Sincere thanks to Jordan and the crew! I can't thank you guys enough! Lost my timezone card today, with 40 dollars of credit. When I came back only hours later to look for it, it was found that all my money had been spent by two men playing nba hoops and halo. To my surprise, the staff fully refunded me for the credit I lost, by tracing back the exact time my card was stolen. I was really touched by the compassion and integrity. To the scumbags who took my card: great work for coming into the arcade on an empty Tuesday night! I'm sure your faces will not be forgotten.

The night started out well with a safe drive all the way to this place which we were told was like a wonderland filled with bowling and great prices. Yes, the price was fine, but when you pay for a night of fun... you expect a night of fun. We had sadness not knowing who actually won the game, as the score board added 2 strikes to one person and took points from another. We know for a fact that that person did not get a strike as they suck. This gave us great sadness and has made me especially feel abused of my time and money. Overall it was a pleasurable experience, with one major mistake which some day I will overcome. I was appalled though by the fashion malfunction that came with the bowling shoes. Black Velcro does not go with everything. A lesson can be learnt for the future.

Great experience everytime I take my nephew and family. He/they loves the atmosphere and the energy in the venue. Always costs me way too much but he always says thank you and genuinely enjoys it everytime. The staff are always on to it and willing to help. Sometimes they appear overworked, but that's going to happen when they are running 4 full on activites (bowling, arcade, laser tag, playground) plus a bar, plus bookings, plus trying to fit people into bowling games and name them etc (that's a nightmare)... Amazing job Xtreme Wairau Park staff. You on the ground and Frontline make it all happen.

Entertainment wise it's a great place for a birthday, family or friend get together. They have reasonably good package deals on their attractions. Food is on the expensive side and pretty limited and if you go on the weekend or during the holidays I'd recommend ordering your food 15-30mins prior to when you want it to arrive. Be prepared to possibly have to go back and check on expected delivery time as they get very busy. Staff are generally very friendly and helpful but often look like they are trying to do too much. I can't blame them for this as I don't think it would be easy to predict just how busy it might get. Thanks for the fun Xtreme Wairau

Great for kids, pretty awful for parents (in my opinion). Loud and gawdy, like Vegas in a warehouse. Service was fine, but couldn't wait to get out. Timezone ticketing system is a test of patience and best left to kids if possible. Very crowded on a wet weekend.

Great place to go on a rainy day or when your stuck for ideas, would like to see more staff at the counters and better management of queues as it's really every man for themselves to get served. I'd recommend a queue system like a movie theater so there is some order to the chaos. Your staff should smile more and make you feel more welcome and appreciated.

One of our two bowling lanes was all screwed up, not scoring properly and the wrong number of pins etc being placed down for the second bowl. A bunch of kids working there who couldnt sort it. Service is terribly slow to order food and for it to arrive but it tasted alright when it finally turned up. The children enjoy the place but it's painful for adults to endure. I'd recommend taking plenty of hand sanitiser during a visit

A great place for kids parties (ages about 4-10), when you don't want the hassle of doing it at home (or the clean up), this is a good place to go :-) The different options for the age groups are good (laser tag for the older, indoor play area for the younger & arcade games for all the ages) You do pay for the convenience though (in the end it probably doesn't cost that much more that having a nice party at home, and it's nice to be able to just go home at the end)

Bad customer service made a booking for ten pin bowling at 6:30 when we arrived they told us or booking was for 7:00 when we finally got to play one of our lanes keeped jamming was told by one of the staff this happens all the time (which from the alot of the other comments i can see seems to be the case) and we would get a refund but when we mentioned this to the duty manager he said no refund and was really rude to us also i left my coat there and have rung numerous times and no one ever seems to answer the phone worst customer service and a rip off!!!! Never again!!!!!

Lanes are new and all monitors work. There is a nice little ipad at each lane to control what the scoreboard looks like or what it says. Balls are in reasonable condition and I was able to find the perfect size ball for me.

Xtreme entertainment is really fun! My favourite is laser tag. If you didn't know, the laser tag zone is like a maze. It is really dark and it is awesome and the main point for laser tag is just to shoot people with your gun.
