We dined at Brancott Estate Restaurant on Saturday. The restaurant is perched on a hill and overlooks the vineyards of Fairhall. The views are wonderful. The food we had matched the views. I had the pork belly that was melt-in-the-mouth tender and it was accompanied by a delicious parsnip mash, carrots and asparagus. Sharron had an interesting dish, compressed tomato, basil oil and stracchiata. We did know what to expect but were surprised how good this dish was. The flavours really worked well together. Sharron's mother had the orange roughy that she pronounced "delicious". Sharron also had macadamia cake for dessert. Again this was an interesting dish with imaginative flavour combinations that all worked together. The pinot gris we had was also very good. Brancott Estate Restaurant is worth visiting. The views are wonderful, food and service great. Visit you won't be disappointed.

We only managed to get in wine tasting. The staff were over and beyond helpful. They were fully booked for the restaurant and not only they found and booked us for lunch at a neighboring vineyard they also treated us to a free wine tasting. Just the best.

Amazing vineyard with exceptional staff working here! Kim was our guide during our tasting and was so knowledgeable about the varietals they had. Hands down our favorite of all the wineries/vineyards we visited!!

Wine was ok during our tasting. The place has fantastic views across the landscape. Lunch looked nice but slightly on the pricey side

Fantastic service. Amazing food. And a view over the vines.
Highly recommended.

What a fab place for lunch! If you wait long enough, a shuttle picks you up from the carpark to drive you up the steep hill. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The view from the tables over the vineyards are magnificent. The food was fantastic too. Its a shame about the weeds growing on the other side of the glass windows. Its not a very nice look. Plant some native grasses... Other than that, its a must visit!

We visited about a dozen vineyards in the area, but this was our absolute favourite! From the car park there was a courtesy van to take us up to the winery & restaurant (an easy walk back). The view from the top is amazing, with panoramic views across the vineyard and beyond... we could even see out to the Rimutaka Ranges in the North Island. Very friendly and welcoming staff, and we enjoyed a short video, wine tasting & a beautiful lunch. Hope to be back... thanks & regards Rob & Christina.

Diana looked after us. We wanted to see the vineyard but the tour was fully booked. We explained that this visit to the winery was very exciting for us due to our professional relationship to the industry. She was extremelly helpful and knowledgeable and took a bit of extra time as we didn't make it for the tour. Thank you so much for your time, we enjoyed it a lot!

What a fantastic place to have a restaurant. While we didn't have a meal (fully booked) we were welcomed in for a look over the amazing estate, and area. We purchased some limited edition wine for gifts which after we tasted them I am sure will be well received. Very relaxed and welcoming.

Felt welcome from the very beginning. A lovely woman picked us up in a Van at the parking spaces, because it was incredibly windy on that day and drove us directly to the front door. Inside we had a really enjoyable wine tasting done by Karen (such a nice person!) and took the opportunity to try Sauvignon Gris, a wine we never even heard before. Would definitely recommend!
