Wholeheartedly enjoyed our experience here. We come from Wellington & I haven’t been to such a cool cinema since in Britain for the last Harry Potter movie a decade or so ago. We really loved walking inside to see such a beautiful interior, nothing like what we’ve seen. I was so excited to watch a movie in a big cinema with my partner like this in new Christchurch. Such a luxury to have not only watch on a massive Xtremescreen & awesome sound but also reclining armchairs! At the press of the button on the side I was totally relaxed. Really good service, checked our vaccine passes & such a cool way to get our drinks, used the slushie machine which was so fun! Drinks & popcorn weren’t cheap but it’s expected at cinemas. We really didn’t mind paying $19 per ticket because you really are getting so much more of an experience than what we’ve seen elsewhere! Recommend 100%, it was really special to go to somewhere this cool.

This review is specifically to the Lux experience. The staff is friendly and professional, service is swift and quiet, the food price is a little steep for its portion size, but the solid taste and premium quality make up most of it. My only criticism will be that maybe there could be a better way to display the menu inside the theater, perhaps online (not sure if the current menu is available online or not, but we couldn’t find it), irregular customers who’re unfamiliar of the menu can struggle a bit in the dark to decide what to order, other than going out to the lounge to look at the printed menu with proper lighting, or bothering the poor waiting staff with inappropriate amount of unnecessary questions. I think a more accessible and visible online menu can easily solve the trivial problem.

So easy to buy tickets if you have the HOYTS app. Great location in the middle of the city above a food court of all types of food. The xtreme screen has a brilliant picture, unfortunately in the crux of Spiderman we lost sound for 5 minutes. Very clean, good comfortable seating. Expensive food counter.

Really like the seats, very comfortable. Wasn't happy with the cost of a largish popcorn and 2 drinks for $29 though!!! Would be good to have the prices displayed in the food self service area

We went to see Ghostbusters afterlife at Extreme showing at 6pm holidays treat. About 20 people watching the movie. Comfortable chairs and pleasant staff. Promised my daughter we buy popcorn from the cinema compared prices and quantity for the best value.

Tickets, drinks + popcorn are a little bit pricey, but it's pretty much worth it for the booming surround sound systems, perfectly sized screens and polite and reasonable staff. Will definitely revisit whenever my bank account recovers.

Comfy seats, plenty of leg room. As long as you skip the concession stand it's well priced. Overall I enjoyed the experience.

I had a great experience but too bad the new Kingmans Movie was absolutely jarring 👎🏾 The seats was amazing and well worth it. Just paying an extra $3-4 for reclining seats rather than a squashed Riccarton Hoyts

I love the big comfy seats and the retractable leg rest. So comfortable that the guy next to me slept through half of Dune! Great sized screen and immersive sound. The only minor complaint is that the sound level is sometimes excessive.

Probably my favourite cinema in Christchurch. Very easy to get into the place. No need to get through shops or what not. Already watched 2 movies here. Love the decoration in and around the place. And no need to hassle around the counter if you bought the ticket online. You can just head straight to the cinema hall you are given. The seat is very comfy with incline and decline options.

Tried luxury theatre booking easy signage to the theatre less clear. Ordered drinks and was told that as we were two together we could seat side by side. Early into the film we were told we had been given incorrect information so I moved. The exit signs are unclear as we opened several doors before finding our way out. The closure of the ground floor restaurants makes the exit somewhat dismal

Extreme screen and coffee are good. Online booking is horrific though, ticket types vanished, wouldn't recognise multiple email addresses, declining multiple cards for payment. It did that with multiple people and browsers. It worked the next day finally with a third person.

Kids loved the whole experience going to Entx, picking their own snacks right thru to watching the movie. We tend to come back again on our yearly visit to chch.

Great place to have so many different types of food. Will have some thing for everyone and all ages

EntX is great - excellent cinemas, love the seats and space, but food is very expensive - buy at the supermarket beforehand!

Full on entertainment. Well maintained cinemas. Perfect sound system. Can easily spend your day nearby before / after watching movie.

Well worth the money if you want a high teir movie experience, They allow outside food in and their in house brought to you in cinema restraunt food is great, Definetly a luxury cinema

Insanely expensive, and the volume is set far too loud. Having to put tissue in my ears and still coming away with a thumping headache kinda sucks the joy out of 7t.

Great set up, didn’t see the value in forking out $30 per seat in the Lux theatre, however the seats in the other theatres are comfy recliners, heaps of room , even third row from the massive screen was great viewing, and I think $18, pay that any day for this quality. Toilets modern and immaculate, great food hall downstairs. Right in town, highly recommend.

New cinema in town, lazy boy seats throughout, help yourself candy bar with different sizes combo popcorn and drinks. Cafe inside the cinema available for hot food and alcoholic beverages. Tickets can be purchased at the kiosk at entrance of inside at the counters. Prices higher than other hoyts in chc.

Theater was clean, movie was excellent. But... I think the staff need some work on customer service skills. Made the kids and I feel really out of place and made me feel stupid for not knowing about the food was collect first. Probably won't be back.

Great cinema huge screen a bit pricey though apart from that really great experience for the whole family

It's hard to go back to a standard cinema seat after sitting in the Hoyts Entx seats they are very comfortable and they recline so you can completely relax while enjoying your movie. The staff are friendly. Getting the basic foods are self service with other parts being staffed. Popcorn both standard and flavoured, all sorts of drinks from the usual coke both standard and frozen, ice creams and all sorts of other items. Great leg room, great size Cinema's. Plus if you want a meal while you watch your movie you can go to the lux cinema.

First time in the new complex, complete different setup to the old system I was used to, you pay for tickets and food before going in, it confused me to start with because I went in through the elevator. Nice comfy electric seats, huge screens, well worth it

Amazing place, cool food areas and drinks, and massive screens with great projection.

Cool place. The seats are super comfy and electric, so you just push a button and it reclines. Food was hideously expensive, $23 for two regular drinks and a popcorn, but I guess that's movies for you and they make their money that way.

Pretty good. The seats look great but we're not overly comfortable great sound.

The positives:It was a nice place to go. The chairs are good and comfortable. You have enough space to feel comfortable without other people being to close. A good night out. The Negatives The price is expensive . This should be reviewed. it should be atleast half of what they charged. I also wasn't impressed that they had no prices displayed that I could see on drinks, ice-cream etc so you don't know what your paying until you are at the counter. This is in my opinion not good practice. This causes people to bring in their own food and snacks so they do themselves out of revenue.

All the seats were individual lazyboy electric adjusted recliners.Very plushy and comfortable. Because they feel like synthetic leather,they can get a bit warm. Also depending on the row you're siting,the recline angle may not be ideal without some neck support, in that aspect, best not to choose the higher rows. The central ventilation needs to be a bit more active, the cineplex 1, which we were in,felt a bit stuffy by the time we got to the middle of the show.

It's a nice place but it lacks the buzz of other movie theatres. There needs to be a timezone at least or something other than just eateries downstairs. The snack section is incredibly lacking and $10 for a large drink seems ridiculous. Fortunately there is a supermarket across the road.

A beautiful new cinema in the heart of the city. Big, airy cinemas with very comfortable seating.

Nice and comfy cinema with a lot new, old and independent movies. The program changes often, price is also good. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Found the whole experience odd. I can only liken it to Dubai airport. Really modern, open spaces, contemporary design but lacking soul. The place was empty and staff missing - eventually found! Opted for a cheese platter for two, which was fine - should have been for the price. The seats were comfortable enough, but one didn't work properly (foot rest stuck in up position). Would I recommend - probably not. I prefer the boutique cinemas...

Great way to relax with family and friends watching a movie in recliner chairs with popcorn.

Great food from Hanoi Old Quarter and the dumplings (from the dumpling place) were also amazing.

The most comfortable cinema your ever going to experience in NZ!!!! Very generous seating arrangement = less distractions, staff are always awesome with a crazy amount of food and beverage selection!!!! This isnt the closest cinema to me but it's the only 1 I'll ever use, surprizingly super clean for a cinema as well. Great work guys 👍

great place for date night. love the comfy seats and love treat city, it's so convenient that you can grab all the food you want on the way in and then pay at the counter before you go into the movie. no big lines to wait in for food 😊

Amazing venue. So much more than a cinema. This is a premium food court that can service the city center. This is exactly the kind of infrastructure Christchurch needs. It big and modern. It built for growth. The cinemas are amazing screens. The food court has everything from nandos to poke bowls, curry and dumplings. Don't need to be seeing a movie to go. Definitely make this a destination this weekend and create an excuse to go to the city centre. Right next to hub bus station.

Lux cinema - lovely big, comfy recliner seats, with lots of space. Food off menu - Might purchase an entree in the future but not a main. Definitely not worth the money.

Hoyts Lux = what a treat! If you are happy to pay extra and enjoy a movie in style then this way to do it. Small theatre, way too comfortable chairs, a glass or two of lovely wine being brought to you as you watch the movie and the food was devine too!! Before you head into the theatre you choose your food and when you would like it and then you just sit back and enjoy! Duck Bao and the Beef Sliders are delicious. I loved the experience.

Super cool space! Lots of food choices of wide variety there’s something for everyone in here! The cinema is pretty awesome however they don’t have prices on all the movies snacks which is a bit terrifying!

The space and ambience are quite nice, for meeting friends or family, etc. The food is not too so great for now, but they might open more stuff.

10/10 experience!! Tonight was date night and we decided after wanting to try the Hoyts lux for so long that it was finally time to go give it a go and we absolutely loved it! The food was great and there was so much choice! What made our whole experience though was the incredible service! We forgot to check the guys name but the young man who worked around 7pm 16/10/2020 was amazing. He instantly made us feel welcome and had us walking to our seats feeling like royalty. He was so helpful and had us both feeling so special which made the whole experience twice as good. Best service I have had for years hands down and I am simply writing this review as a thank you, 100% recommend trying the Hoyts lux and will definitely be returning

First time experience. Certainly a much bigger screen than the standard. I was impressed with the seat comfort, space and operation. One minor for me was the aircon went too cool towards the end of the movie. Overall I enjoyed the movie and the theatre. Not sure if it's worth the extra money over a standard cinema.

I love going to the movies here. The cinema is great! So much room in the chairs. Good sound, good pictures. The popcorn suffers in NZ compared to North America because they don’t add hot butter so it’s like eating styrofoam. The cinema is absolutely top notch though!! Highly recommended and well worth the ticket price.

Only a pretty small mall consisting just of eating establishments and an Events Cinema. New and very stylish. The aesthetics and decorations are very stunning. Good place to go if you are in the city center and want to sit down for a bite.

Great modern theater complex with many good looking restaurants and bars though We have visited only one restaurant, Khmer Angkor. I would highly recommend Khmer Angkor, service was friendly and attentive, the food was excellent. They have a good variety of dishes to choose from, we will definitely be back again. The movie theater was very comfortable with large reclining seats with foot rests and so much room between isles that people can walk out easily even when the foot rests are fully extended.

Best and new construction big screen well maintained trained staff easy to all shop inside you cam buy while u watching movie. Hips of shops to visit in mall. Right in the city. Next to police station and courthouse.front CBD interbus exchange main in city.

First time in these cinemas and wow they were great, huge seats that all recline. Super clean, awesome building, nice staff. Will be going back for sure!

Best place in Chch for the movie enthusiast's to enjoy a perfect and relaxed movie experience. My favourite place for an weekly movie experience. The recliner seats are comfy and comes with plenty of legroom. Also, one needs to try the Xtreme screen (my fav screen for most movies) for Imax type screen experience, these screens are bit bigger with more seatings, bigger screen, dolby surround sound and recliner seats with plenty legroom. Hassle free counters with self kiosk and always some friendly staff to help you at self-kiosk. I missed the place very much in COVID lockdown, but back at my favourite place again. Cheers

Love this place very much, both the architecture design and the activities you can do here. It's my favourite place to hang out to watch a movie or grab something to eat. Sucks that it doesnt have much parking spaces though

Very comfortable recliners with plenty of room. Long gone are the days of bumping elbows with strangers, this is the luxury of home theatre at the cinema.

Amazing HUMUNGOUS SCREEN & to watch "Avengers End Game" it was ON POINT! Loved the movie theatre, including a meal downstairs as well. Was an awesome experience, well worth going to I fully recommend it. Just a heads up its a little over the price range for the movies however once a while treat there would be alright.

Great food before the movie. Food stalls need a wee bit of background music methinks. Maybe a live performance or two to nice it up a bit. Nothing over the top. Service was good! Suggest some sort of activity place (time zone) or a family fun corner. Very bored after dinner waiting for movie... Theatre was awesome - not too loud meant we could enjoy a good action movie without losing our hearing for a few days.

Best movie theater, nice big seats, mostly self service

Really nice to not be annoyed by other people at the movie, space is good. Drinks prices are pretty sleep, $8.50 per bottle is up there but then again I suppose that's business. Service at your seat, although I didn't use it is very cool, will try it next time

Went and saw Godzilla vs Kong on the eXtreme screen with Dolby Atmos.. awesome action movie took full advantage of the big screen and high end sound system.

I absolutely love the new building itself. It’s really well designed and will be a really cool place to come to. However (possibly due to it being a brand new place) the lines were quite long which can’t be helped just something for people to keep in mind. The self service treat bar is so cool however it is quite expensive, $7.50 for a bag of m&ms which are about $3-4 from the supermarket. Loved the recliner chairs they’re really comfortable!!

Still find it weird that the popcorn is just sitting in the heated shelves, must have been there a while as the plastic lids had warped and popped off! Recliner chairs are a great idea in theory but are already breaking as the leg rests fall down after 10mins and you have to readjust. Good place to relax and watch a movie

Nice modern Theatre with good audio even in non XTREME screen cinemas. Only problem is the toilets are quite far away so if you need to dip out quickly you can miss a decent chunk of the. Movie

Worth it. The interior fit out is done supurbly, it makes going to the movies and event if you eat before hand. The theatre itself comfortable with room to stretch your legs and actually kick back.

The reclining seats in the theatres are awesome, the sound system was amazing. It was a pity that the aircon didn't appear to be up to the task, that many people in a hot closed space for 2 hours, I felt sorry for the people going into the next screening, I'm sure the place smelt like a well used gym

It's a great movie theatre, really nice and comfy. But it doesn't get 5 stars because it's always a little cold.

Took my kids there today and I was really impressed with the cinema. It's above a lovely food court and the cinema itself has very comfortable reclining chairs, very roomy. The staff were very helpful with my ticket issue and I could not fault the place. Toilets were clean too. Self service food area works well just didn't notice many healthy snacks on offer maybe some museli, bliss, paleo bars or smoothie juices? Very pleasant experience though kids were happy. I haven't tried the lux I can only imagine that's great too I parked at the crossing P first 2 hours are free and is an easy walk over to cinema.

Definitely a great cinema venue to watch movies. Great amount of leg room and the seats are very comfortable. But I can't give it a full 5 stars as I find the food and drink prices extortionate.

Way to expensive, they 'recliners' go up half the way. There is alot of space between seats and its a big theatre. But the cost doesn't make it worth it. I liked the experience but I wouldn't pay to do it again.

The seating is fantastic, huge step up from riccarton or even readings. Enough room too put your feet up and probably enough space to park your car as well. No more people kicking you in the back of the seat. The ads though, get used to 15 minutes of ads before your movie.

Very cool theatre nice big comfy seats and no restrictions on your view. I had a slight ice cream problem which was rectified immediately. Your popcorn is a little too salty just an fyi

Well layed out and designed area with lots of nibbles to choose from. Movie theater was clean and comfortable and great atmosphere.

Fantastic cinema experience! At $18 a ticket, its one of the most expensive cinemas in Christchurch but I still pay it because I love the big cinema and the spacious recliner seats! Great for a night out or date night as you can choose from a huge range of food places downstairs before heading up to the movies. I definitely recommend sneaking your own food in as the popcorn and drinks etc are overpriced as are all cinemas I have experienced.

Seats were great (recliners etc) but an expensive experience - tickets and snacks alike. Plus the complex itself feels sterile, we went elsewhere to eat.

Went to Hoyts Lux, service was very professional and friendly. Seats are amazing and so nice to stretch out. The food was pretty good but a little on the expensive side, they need a disclaimer on how large those sundaes are! Probably wouldn't do it again as the other cinemas at Hoyts Entx are comfortable for much lower price, but fun to try it out

Great cinema and service by the staff who were there. Ticket machines wernt easy to use. Was faster to use online booking. As no staff there to assist in ticket purchases

Expensive but extremely comfortable with leg room for miles. Only thing I don't enjoy is being herded through the food store before you reach the cinemas (especially with kids in tow). Otherwise a fun experience.

Stop complaining on ticket prices. You get what you pay for! This ain't no Reading Cinemas or Hoyts Westfield or Northlands. This is a brand new cinema that is state of the art and if they're gonna charge more than $11 at some sessions then so be it! It pays to look on the website before going in there for Super Saver and Saver tickets. I went with my son to see a family movie and we both enjoyed the experience. Treat City is expensive but up to the customer if wanting to fork out to pay that much for the goodies. Customer service was good but taking into consideration that they're probably just getting used to the place. So many options downstairs for food. Does get really busy so if your patient then cool if not then sucks to be you. Anyway will be back to see more movies here.

the recliner seats were great. with plenty of room so very comfortable but....there's not always a but...but this is a big but....but they would only serve wine in cheap and nasty plastic glasses so I will not return

The food court at the Entx is really wonderful with so many great options, and the theatres are very modern. The Entx certainly adds a lot to the inner city. If you’re willing to splurge on movie tickets the Hoyts Lux cinemas are really worth the price and a great date idea, with bar service and a really flash menu - the fried chicken and loaded fries starters were fantastic.

Fancy cinema!! Will be back cause the chairs are so comfortable and able to lie down. Reasonable price with that type of facility. We wish we have this type of cinema in our city

Great concept. Loved it. Awesome parking right nearby, good range of food downstairs & then the recliner chairs in the theatre were perfect. Next time we're going Lux!

Awesome cinema with amazing service. By far the best in Chch. Gold Class is definitely worth the extra, even includes wireless phone charging while you watch your movie and the comfiest recliners

Pretty fancy for a cinema & food court - lots of places to eat on the ground floor, with lots of different cuisines from Nandos to Thai to Indian to Vietnamese and pizza and most things inbetween too. The cinema upstairs is comfy and all screens have reclining seats, some even serve food I think too but didn't try that. Good for a quick meal or a night out and a movie and right in the centre of town so plenty of parking and other things close by.

Regularly come here. Lux cinema is great. So much more comfortable than the usual cinemas. Since EntX opened up I've only watched movies in the Lux cinema. Food menu is great! Really nice. My favourite is the steam buns. Only thing that could be improved is some of the staff training. Some staff don't appear to have much experience in hospitality and dining and seem inexperienced.

Cinemas are clean and the reclining chairs are great tons of space between the chairs infront. Flavored popcorns were too salty and super stale it dlet like they were made a day before. The snacks are self servicei bought one popcorn and my friend bought another from a different spot both were stale. They dont post prices so you dont know how much you’ll be paying for until you pay for them kinda scamm-ish tactics.

We wanted to try this place out and support the city rebuild, but it will only ever be a one off as everything costs in the city. Went to see Ralph Breaks the Internet. Parking was $4, buying tickets to the movie can get kind of expensive, just 3 of us including our 8 year old daughter $55.50 including booking fee (purchased online thinking would be busy, was not at all for the Xtreamescreen) $19 for just 1 drink and popcorn (self service)! total cost $78.50!! Movie was 15 min late in starting, however no ads at all. So either they dropped the ads because of late start or for that $55.50 they do not need extra for ads. Seats are nice unless you are tall like I am 188cm then not so much. Yeah like many we tried it but will stick to Readings cinema where they make movies affordable for families at just $11 per seat and while still expensive much cheaper than Hoyts drinks, popcorn etc. Or our local Riccarton Hoyts and just buy extras at the Pac n Save in the same shopping center at a faction of the cinema costs.

Loved the new chairs and the amount of room you have. Ticket prices were more expensive than other theaters and with the cost of parking on top, can be an expensive movie.

Awesome place to go to the movies and lots of food options to choose from including cheesecake and wraps. But need better signs showing the toilets and better options of parking because if parking isnt free or at least an option to temporary free parking it's less likely to attract customers or tourists as they dont know where to park that wont result in walking 4 blocks in the cold for a less than 2 hour long movie.

5 star given to the recliner seat. Hardly can go back to cinemas with normal seat. Gentle reminder purchase drinks from somewhere before the show. The drinks at cinema are extremely costly.

Theatre is amazing, very spacious and comfortable and the screen quality is top notch. Only downside is the price of snacks, which are expensive and isn't even displayed by the product. Otherwise, it's a great experience.

It was such an amazing experience! I saw Johnny English and the Extremescreen was worth it. The recliners were super comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Blessy was the one who helped me and my son through getting our treats and our tickets, she was very friendly and helpful with helping us choose our combos and ice creams. She was also the one who rang us through to pay. I highly recommend to go to HOYTS EntX if you can, the experience is great, the people are super approachable and friendly. Definitely worth your money!

Great choice of eateries, looooooverly comfortable seats, soundtrack not overwhelming. A great end to the week!

What a great building. So pleased.

Seats are reclining the screens are huge. Two bad things, one you have to pay for parking, two the popcorn and drinks are even more outrageously priced than other cinemas.

Empty theater had good seats up at the top. Took the grandchildren to see Sonic which we all enjoyed. Comphy seats.

Hi, I just watched Unhinged tonight 8pm show,,,, and the two Awsme staff in LUX screens were fabulous courteous and humble.. they made my day...since i have been lonely after Coved,,,,for past few months,,,they really made my day ,,,I actaully wanted to tip them $25 each,,,but they refused to take,,i wanted to appreciate them for their genuine service,,,and excitement..:) I would sincerely like the manager to appreciate them with some perks for their genuine service & courteous nature:) thnx guys again& keep smiling:)

Awesome modern place, which plenty of selection for food, before or even after the movies. Awesome and friendly staff. I really enjoyed watching my movie at this place.

Have been three times, found everything superb, Sound system Great, Lightning Great, Seating, I have no Superlative to cover the comfort they provide, toilets Clean and Functional.... The Fly in the ointment, Food is WAY OVER PRICED and I went During Morning Sessions. For those unfamiliar with Technology, getting a Ticket at the self service is a NIGHTMARE and Automatically Holds up Ques. I Suspect that at Peak times and New Movies this System Hinders Flow as opposed to Speeding Things up. Over all I enjoyed myself. One last plus, for those who don't drive, the Proximity to the Bus Terminal in the City centre is a Complete Boon...< I have Returned to Watch "Aquaman" still being Advertised as being in 3D, it WAS NOT, was informed that 3D was only in the first 10 days. We Paid 19.00 dollars a grand total of 38 dollars (I'm a whizz at Math)... AGAIN FOOD OUTRAGEOUS... Three Ice creams, a small child box of Popcorn (Adult friend on a Diet) and Two Cola Slushies??? 48.00 Dollars 🤪.... To Add insult to Injury, Aquaman has a 15 years and older rating and there were 11 or so under 12 year olds allowed in NOT GOOD ENOUGH. TIME TO SHARPEN YOUR ACT UP HOYTS ENTX and Bleating that the DECISION MAKING IS MADE IN AUSTRALIA DOESN'T CUT IT, NOR DOES IT EXCUSE UNDER AGE CHILDREN ATTENDING A MOVIE THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE. >

A bit expensive, but super comfortable reclining seats in the cinema. Only 4 candies in their range though.

Love how they let you bring in any food from the entire place, it looses a star on how loud the cinema was, my ears got a good workout

Once you have experienced Hoyts Entx you just can't go back to ordinary cinemas. International standard from the time you walk through the food hall, ride up to the theatres, welcomed by the friendly staff, seated in the most comfortable "pods" (Lux), enjoy delicious food, watch the latest movie and then farewelled with a smile and a chocolate. Truely first class all the way.

It's a really nicely built place. It's a real pity there isn't much in there. Basically only go there for movies, but have to pay for parking at a carpark building close to ballantynes. The place really needs some more good food operators for sure.

Inside here is an entertainment hub. First: there's food for everyones taste, beautiful interior, different kinds of random seating, and if you're a plant person you're going to love the indoor foliage. Second: Hoyts is located in there, a great place to catch the newest movies. Entex has a great environment, isn't too loud inside, has a huge variety of food, and is in the heart of the city. Check it for yourself

I. LOVE. Lux I will take every opportunity I can to see a movie at Lux. It offers an elite feel, from the menu to the theatres themselves, everything feels first class. But the normal Hoyts theatres aren’t something to scoff at either. With recliner seating, and grab your own food bar, this movie theatre has stepped it up a notch. As for the eateries in EntX, everyone has different tastes. I have yet to try everything, but so far only two have stood out (Nando’s, and Cleaver & Co.) EntX has no parking itself, however the Lichfield St Carpark, and The Crossing Carpark are both VERY close. Plus, EntX is located right across the street from the Bus Exchange.

This is the best theater I have ever went to . Each person has an Armchair and there is a lot of space - sound is great and the quality is wow!

Best seats ever but very disappointed with time it took to get prebooked food and its quality was very bad. Deep fried cheese was too hard to cut or eat and chicken sliders were very dry and tasteless...dont buy the food go downstairs first

Took my daughters here screen 2.All seats were large and comfy and they all reclined. We were sat at the very front but didn't seem to affect our enjoyment of the film. Amazing entertainment complex. Variety of eateries fairly priced

Amazing facility! Building is a show stopper, so many food choices down stairs. Movie treats you can pick your self. Go for the experience...as ticket prices are not cheap like the malls.

My first time visiting entx was a really good . Asked worker for her name as she deserved a good review . Sarah was doing an amazing job she was quick and helped me use my gift card while other workers told me I won’t be able to use it and need to pay. She had a smile on her face and didn’t look like she was forced to be their. It’s good to see town growing. I would visit entx again.

Fantastic complex, huge amount of restaurants and food outlets and the cinema's themselves are the best in town, with plenty of space and recliner seats, you won't want to go anywhere else.

Great venue, wonderfully comfy recliners, fabulous extreme theatre, clean loos, friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, the only disappointment was the bitter coffee.

Been here a couple times now, both for the movies and for food. The movie cinemas are world class, so much leg room and fantastic screen with amazing surround sound. Has now become the only cinema I go to. + such an amazing selection of food too, you'd need to come at least a dozen times before you get through them all!

Went to see Spiderman 2 with kids. Standard cinema, not lux. Staff great, cinema fantastic and I really liked the new reclining and spacious seating.

Quite expensive. And while seats are nice and wide and it was difficult getting them in the right position for optimal viewing and comfort

Nice cinema, clean and great quality sound and screens. There are food stalls in the same shopping mall, so a good option to spend a couple if hours in city centre with is cold and rainy day!

Fantastic cinema, only real issue I had was the take away coffee after the confectionary area leading to the cinema entrance. it wasn't terrible, but they charge you $15 for a standard size small. And when asked about if the price was correct, they give no real reason as to why they charge for so much. Hell even Joe's Garage down stairs cost less than half.

"extreme experience" cinema is very good. Even has lean back seats with footrest and lots of room. New cinema that is good as it gets.

only just 4 star, the food hall is good the food range is very good, the food quality (of the 4 stalls i have tried) good. can get dirty when busy due to a lack of staff to clear tables, the toilets are a bit small and poorly laid out, the noise from the cinema booms around the place at time spoiling the food hall dining experience. great idea - pretty average execution. head to little high for a polished experience

Good cinema complex with some very comfortable reclining seats, in the Xtreme screen at least. Some good food places but also some that aren't the best. But overall a great place in the CBD to go for dinner and a movie. It's across the road from the bus exchange also, so public transport is ideal

It also even if your not going to see a movie you can still get breakfast, lunch and dinner and still have a good look around. I like how now you do have to wait in a line to get your food and drink before going into a movie is self serve and you pay at the end.

The movie theater seats have electric foot rests that make for an enjoyable watch. And nice wide isles so no problems getting past other people.

Heaps of choices for eating downstairs. Thought it was a cool idea at the hoyts to pick ur own popcorn and drinks, only problem was the popcorns did not have lids on them and was stale and dried out. The seats in the theater were very comfortable.

Very new environment, clean very upbeat. People seem happy moving around the place. You could also chill out arond tge eateries on the ground floor.

The food court is disappointing. No atmosphere and some bad smells from some of the shops (especially fish sauce smell from the pad thai place)

Hoyts EntX was pretty good. super flash. only down side was we couldn't find the prices for the snacks as it's all self serve, and was a bit of a shock when we got to the counter.

Another great night out. LUX is the only way to go. Comfy chairs and a bottle of bubbly - perfect way to watch a movie.

Very fancy and modern building. The ground floor has lot kind s of food court and the first floor is Hoyts movie theatre. There is no car parking parking place so you should use the public car parking. I recommend to use the car parking, where is Infront of bus exchange. It is just 2$ for the first two hours but after 2 hours it will be expensive so you need to keep on eyes of time.

Ciema great just don't have pizza upstairs... had to return it after 1 slice... no refund :( not good at all.

Awesome place. Several great eateries. Movies up stairs. Right across from bus exchange so...bus right into town and home. Otherwise council car park just around the corner on Lichfield st. Cheaper than wilsons parking, nicer too, and supporting NZ chch council and not the 'wilson parking' who are Australian. Great seating with booths and all kinds of options.

Absolutely loved our experience at Entx this is awsome for our city, finally we have something other than a shop to try and bring more foot traffic into the city. Comfy seats, awsome snack bar and not too outlandish in price. The food options downstairs are good too! Nice to see some different options than the usual Kfry and mall food court.

Great seating. Comfy and roomy. Hoyts must have some sound transducers integrated into the seats, as well, you can really feel the rumble. Help-yourself-style snack bar is much better than queuing!
