Just a basic carpark, we couldn't find a level spot though it wasnt too bad. It was muddy, there was only one spot i saw that you'd possibly get bogged in the rest was quite solid ground. The major downside was no toilets. The road next to the carpark is quite busy with lots of people stopping by to take in the amazing view. The road up is quite steep and big campers struggle, though there is many chain bays to pull over in to let the lines of vehicles behind past. Definitely worth the climb for the view.

Not easy to drive up for large motorhome. Do check road condition before going up during winter. Nice view from the carpark. It's just a gravel area beside the road. For self contained vehicles only. No toilet around. A lot of vehicles stop by for a quick photo op. It's really hard to find a level ground to park. Beautiful night sky full of stars.

We camped here after being in Queenstownnfor the day. Not too long a drive and with amazing views, it was a great campervan spot with loads of space.
Not all ground was level, but most of it was not too bad. You get dramatic weather coming over the distant mountains which is beautiful, but possibly means you're in for a down pour in an hour or 2.
We woke up to snow the following morning, but nothing so bad we couldnt drive straight out. No toilets, but there is one 15 mins drive away in an emergency.

I mean... Best time to go is during sunset time so check out when sunset is during the time you're reading this

Great view. Its just a carpark and it is vulnerable to the wind and rain. Plenty of space though and worth the slow trip up the hill.

It's a beautiful place to parked up for night looking over Queenstown airport and part off lake

One of the best places you could hope to freedom camp. Set up a timelapse during sunset if you're into that sort of thing.

Feels like your on top of the world, safe parking and a very windy road down (don't look down!)

Windy place to camp. Drivers go past honking horns in the night, total knobs

Well worth a stop
