The best milk in the south island! Glass bottled real milk. A whole variety of other home made delicious goodies also. While it maybe a little out of the way, the trip out their has some of Dunedins most stunning views on offer. Also they have some other places in town to collect your milk if you don't want to go out to the farm.
However, iys refreshing to go and see where tour kai comes from and how the cows are loved and cared for.
Rum by one of the most amazing whanau I know, its just an all round sustainable, fanatic place to support.
The milk is to die for, and once you try it there is no going back to mass produced watered down dead milk.
Highly, highly recommended.
A real example of the way we should support our kai being made.

Amazing dairy products. The milk dispensers are great too. Recommend buying some chocolate milk, you won't regret it

The lady there is so nice. You can see the calfs, and pet the friendly cows. They're so cute and fluffy. The milk is so good. There's also maple syrup and mango and apricot lassies. 😋

Holy cow is a local farm selling pasteurized milk, cream and butter. They also sell amazing (and authentic) maple syrup.
After almost sitting down a few years ago when one of their non milking cows was found to have TB they decided to pasteurize their milk to continue production.
This came able through slot of hard work from the owner's and the community that talked a round them sitting fantastic sort for a local business that was little known outside is regular clientele.
Since beginning the new person the pasteurized milk can be found in various shops around Dunedin (such as the butchers in North East valley) and is used by some cafes in town to make tasty flat whites, cappuccinos and other delicious if not caused beverages.
Holy cow milk can also be bought from the local FG
Farmers market at the train station on Saturday mornings. There is a small deposit you pay for the milk bottle but then keep bringing then back and exchange them for new ones, a great way to reduce waste!
The plastic tags that have the nutritional information and expiry date can also be reused so please bring them back with your bottles.
If buying from the farm gate at reynolds town road be aware there is no eftpos and money should be put in the honesty box at the back of the milking shed shown in the photograph.
