J.Great spot for viewing estuary Bird life. Today we viewed Godwits, Lessor Knots, Pied Oyster Catchers, White Faced Egrets catching fish, Fairy Terns, Giant Pied Shags, Kingfishers, Black Backed Gulls with chicks, Malard Ducks etc. Lovely place to walk yourself and the dog, go for a fish from the wharf or from a boat.
A.This well maintained platform is not covered but provides excellent views of the estuary and beyond. Beautiful estuary sunset photos can be taken here.
There is not a lot of space to park (2 or 3 cars maximum) but an alternative option is to park at the Boat Club in Hartley Street and stroll down Sunset Walk to the platform (& beyond).
