E.Clean and comfortable. Had a nice coffee while I waited
K.Fancy new airport building and sustainable as well. If I had any sort of quibble about the new design it's that the aircraft that parks on the left isn't very visible from inside the terminal. Other than that, there's lots of glass so you can see outside very well.
C.Good lovely coffee, and Gf lemon and coconut muffin. Staff very helpful.
M.Modern, clean and good amount of seating. Small Cafe. Clean toilets.

T.Nice work the airport is now a nice place to fly from/to. Great that sustainability has been taken into the build. Only wish this was the same for the cafe which only served takeaway cups!

L.Nice new terminal. Very small airport with overpriced coffee shop but the coffee good. Not much else to do do but pleasant enough. It's cool being so close to the planes
M.Great airport and even though only a small regional airport, it offers all the facilities you would expect.. The staff were both friendly and helpful too..

R.My first time inside the all new Gisborne Airport terminal - as we were setting off for a recent holiday in Christchurch and one has to be impressed - certainly an amazing difference to the previous tired looking building that greeted visitor and locals alike upon returning, leaving or arriving for the first time in Gisborne Tairawhiti . .
⸻.My favourite regional domestic airport in New Zealand. Every time I come here, I watch out the window for any planes because I love plane spotting. Luggage being checked on is no problem, and usually love the food.

T.Who doesn't want to land on a runway that has a railway line cutting right through it? It was a beautiful place to fly into with Gisborne sitting beautifully on the east coast of the North Island. There is also a cafe for passengers inside the small lounge where passengers can wait for their flight. Their chocolate milkshake however made me sick so wouldn't exactly recommend that😅. Nearby airports include Opotiki, Whakatane and Napier.

R.Gisborne Airport (IATA: GIS, ICAO: NZGS) is a regional airport located in the suburb of Elgin 4.2 km from the city centre of Gisborne on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Gisborne Airport is one of the few airports in the world that has a railway line, the Palmerston North–Gisborne Line, crossing the main runway. The airport has a single terminal with four tarmac gates. Gisborne Airport covers an area of around 160 hectares. It includes a sealed and night-capable runway (Rwy 14/32) at 1,310 metres in length, as well as three grass runways suitable for light aircraft.
It was announced on September 7, 2018 that the airport will be receiving a $5.5m redevelopment loan to ensure that the airport terminal reflects the unique cultural aspects of the Gisborne region, closely linking with the region’s navigation-themed tourism initiative.
On 16 December 2004, Gisborne District Council (who own and previously operated the airport) voted to let Eastland Group manage the airport and lease the assets from 1 April 2005. Gisborne District Council still remains owner of the assets. The lease runs for 15 years with an option to extend it for a further 15 years.

Comments: I flew back and forth between Auckland Airport on a 29-seater plane. When I was wondering that there was only one boy in the lower grades of elementary school age as a passenger, I was told that he was a child of a pilot, and he was on vacation during summer vacation, so he was always following his dad's job. I was surprised at how generous the country was.

コメント：29人乗りの飛行機でオークランド空港を往復しました。搭乗客に小学生低学年ほどの男の子ひとりだけポツンといたので不思議がっていたら、パイロットのこどもで、夏休み中暇なのでパパの仕事にずっとついてまわっているとのことでした。なんとも寛容なお国柄に驚きました。
