Clean, efficient and organized. The social distancing of seating is a much welcomed feature. The staff are the best asset! Absolutely awesome, friendly, efficient and charismatic. The cinema itself is well cleaned, tidy and safe with plenty of sanitizer stations available. Not to mention a cool timeout game zone for while you wait!

We love the comfortable and wide seats here. It was super clean too. This was our first visit on the 1st day of Covid level 2 for Hamilton, so it was super quiet for November 2021, in comparison to the same time last year. To all the staff at Event Cinemas Chartwell, keep up the awesomeness! :-)

Given 3 stars as this venue still doesn't have Dolby atmos. It's 2021 not 2010. Also the majority of screens are 2k resolution which results in a blurry image. 4k projectors are a need for all screens. I have a better experience at home with a sharper and clearer picture and more immersive audio with Dolby atmos.

Totally Rufus!! Be excellent to eachother!! Saw Bill and Ted 3. The place complied very well with the Covid practices put in place. They even had a special explanation on the big screen, explaining how they have created appropriate distancing and everyone complied. My only complaint was I cannot believe the lack of people in the theatre! It was a Bill and Ted 3!!! I thought every nineties child would want to see this. Perhaps upon its official release I hope it does gains most Triumphant popularity. Well done Events Chartwell.

Very good and clean cinema. We went during the afternoon so there was lot of parking space. The attendant scanned our Covid pass and we were given our tickets which we brought online .... I took two stars off because it turns out that it is more expensive to buy tickets online. We brought a family ticket of 4 and we had to pay $1.50 per person. They said it is $1.50 per booking which means $6.00 for all of us. I thought we purchased the ticket as one booking. Secondly, one too of that we have to pay credit card charges. There is no initative for consumers. Thirdly, even as a member of Cinebuzz does not give much financial initative, just promotion emails. When you become a.member of Cinebuzz and when you try to enter your birth date. You have to go backwards each month to get to your birth date. Try it. If you are born in 1972. That is 600 clicks.

We bought our tickets online and it was nice and simple to get our tickets from the machine. I then thought I would get popcorn and lollies for my teenagers and a wine for me but I couldn't be bothered as you need to Que with everyone getting tickets. I just thought it would probably be a good idea to have a separate que if you already have tickets but want to purchase snacks.

Okay watched Spacejam 2. Customer Service was good. Not as good as Hoyts Metro in the city for overall experience. The drink holders are not as big & good as Metro. The cleanliness was average. I would recommend if you can get cheap tickets.

On attending Event Cinemas Chartwell yesterday morning to see an advertised session of Penguin Bloom at 10.30am. We were told it was not showing till 3.15pm There were many more people there waiting also. It took quite sometime to convince the staff member that we had the correct information. It appears the “session information “ had not been changed from the previous day. We did finally get to see the movie which was very enjoyable

Nice venue but when I left the venue. The food-mall staff were placing the chairs on the tables to clean it up and they were scraping and slamming the chairs. Clearly no job pride there..

Very good chain cinemas. Good atmosphere, however at times we experienced dirty floor and oily seats. We keep coming back because it's in a mall, easy access to dinner or shopping before or after movie. Also spacious parking space.

The seats are really comfortable. Sometimes it gets a bit too cold for me during a movie, I usually bring an extra layer and then I'm okay! There's lots of seating space and a place to put your drinks. The sound is really nice. It's a good experience going to see a movie here!

I have been going to this cinema ever since it opened. And I have always enjoyed it. The food is a tad more affordable than hoyts but I still think $5 for a choc top is over the top and a little out my price range if I wanted to buy one for all my children, otherwise I always have a wonderful experience

Holy christ I have never been so hot during a movie before. The aircon kicked in about 1 1/2 hours into the movie.

Nice wide seats, thought the kids $6 popcorn and drink were a good deal, During kids holidays they have cheaper seats of you join up online. Take your ph in store to redeem the cheaper deals. The cinemas have a online ticket kiosk to bypass the waiting line.

The sound system is really bad. Scary movies don't even seem scary due whatever reason they have set the volume in the theatre so low. Sound plays a very important role. They might have set the BASS low as well. It's too weird. Thus, 3 stars. However, the customer service and cleanliness is on point, no doubt.

Watched the movie, Overcomers. Excellent movie The young girl who serviced us was outstanding. She assessed the ages of the group members without even needing to be told. I consider this type of service sharp and attentive. Management, pay attention and look after her, she is an asset of an employee Dropped one star because the theatre wasn't open due to cleaning, which is fair enough and there was a sign there but the cleaning went a few mins past theatre open time. I know I'm being picky here and in NZ that may be fine because it's more laid back and relaxed

Love the movies, but they need to clean there seats more before session times. Every time I go there I come out with some stain on my clothes to someone else mess...Suggestion why not have seat covers and change them every few sessions.

This has been my go to cinema for many years as it is cheaper than others and runs All the latest film out. The chairs are also bigger than most so you can get really comfortable in them while you watch the film

Lots of free parking (in shopping mall), good cinemas (only a few years old). Right next to food court. Could have more staff on when busy. They have a lift for disabled access. Seats are nice and the screen in the biggest cinema is a great size.

-Edit- I am dissapointed to say that after spending over a hundred dollars out of boredom in the timeout arcade they have, none of the machienes were dew. I even had perfect grip on many of the items I got in the claws and it loosened the claw and dropped them after being picked up The cinemas were relatively clean and the lines weren't too long when we went there for our tickets. Seating in the cinema isn't uncomfortable either. The food isn't the cheapest but aren't all cinemas overpriced in their food?

Vodafone 11 deal used to be with Hoyts but recently changed to Event cinemas. I have no problem with it as Chartwell Event Cinema is near by. However, Cinema condition is bit disappointing compare to other Hoyts in Hamilton (Old chairs smells funny) and recommends some immediate upgrades.

I also go to chartwell over the base cinemas because they are easily accessed and we can take kids to the time out area to kill time and have our fave donburi in the food court, free undercover parking and playground in centre of food court so great for littlies aswell
