E.Great customer service. Great bathroom facilities. Clean & great facilities. Seating is great. Food not cheap though but reasonable good variety of options & tickets are best prices if Hoyts member.
C.Nice, clean, and comfortable movie theatres, and comes in both recliner and ordinary seats. Spacious waiting areas with comfy seats as well. Food and beverage are a bit expensive, but it's expected at every cinema.
Very convenient location in town, and is close to everything. It comes with free parking at Centre Place for every movie ticket purchase. Parking ticket just needs to be validated by one of the staff.
S.A cinema that really feels like it was designed by a movie lover, almost like it was a movie set in itself. Love the curved seating area with multi-screen showing trailers. Also love the self-service drinks and incredibly friendly service. Only drops one star as with all three films I saw here, the screens are not very big, which loses some of the spectacle.
A.First time visiting here, nice theatre, not well signed as to where each theatre was, 7 was upstairs!! It was a bit cold in the theatre, but I am a sook with the cold 😂 look forward to going to the movies again!

Not sure if it was just the specific cinema we were in but picture quality was not the best, blurry on moving scenes and the air conditioning was a bit loud during quiet periods.

M.Never been to a clean movie theater till last night. Just spotless. Comfortable seats. With lots of space.. Staff looked a bit bored as you buy your ticket at a machine and as we all no the yummy food all these places have is over priced so not many people buying. Nice layout in the foyer too make this place so cool, I'll be back while I still live in the area

A.Nice movie theatres. Particularly enjoy the recliner seats, however, the screens are to small, especially when you sit in the back rows, like we do. The whole idea about going to the movie theatre, for me anyway, is the 'big screen' experience. Food stuffs are way overpriced, but no different than other movie theaters with their high prices. Ticket prices are not bad, but still a bit too high.
R.The cinemas are good, however there are a couple of downfalls.
The main cinemas have good sound and a decent screen size. Pretty standard seating.
The recliners have nice seats, however the screen size is significantly smaller. I wouldn't go to see a block buster in there when you want a big screen.
The other is the occasional 'cinema funk' smell. It isn't the kinda cologne I want to wear, but it's bare-able when it is there
L.Place is clean, friendly staff and usual pricey food and drink you get at all cinemas. You can validate your parking for 4 hours when u purchase a movie ticket.
R.Lovely going there always. It's quite expensive though. Recliners are the best so please try for that if you can. Sound quality is good and it's kept clean. So anither bonus point. People working there are always kind and polite. Always ask them for affordable options like cheaper tickets on kids movie and stuff.
K.Love the look of this venue, it sets the scene which is very cool. Staff are friendly and helpful also knowledgeable about what they do and sell. Love the rewards system, i need to take advantage of this because going to the movies is expensive. I think the theatres themselves need a big overhaul and again a smile would go a long way.
G.Cinema perfect. Recliner seating excellent. Movie sound and experience absolutely fantastic. But I know it's meant to be an experience but the popcorn and I scoop ice cream pricing is criminal. Just means instead of going everyweek we save it for treats only as it's impossible to go just to see the movie. Kids have to have popcorn.
T.I don't go to cinemas often. Gf brought me here, watched star wars IX in cinema 6. Good seats, they were comfy, and if I was by myself I would have enjoyed the wide armrests. However, I wasn't, so leaning on a shoulder comfortably was a challenge. Good movie though.

I.Awesome! We were in Theatre 6. It was very nice and clean, and we had reclining chairs which was very cool. It was air conditioned as well. 10/10 would recommend! :)
D.Went upstairs into the newer part of the theatre. Comfy chairs, but air-conditioning was noisy. Sat fairly central in the cinema and felt the screen was a long way away. Next time I'll sit closer to the front.

W.Good little cinema with helpful staff. This venue also offers corporate opportunities as well by way of booking out an entire theatre for private viewing, this would be a must if your looking for a fundraiser event for your school or charity.
Forgot to mention that if your going during 9-5 hours parking will be a little hard to find but you go after 5pm you'll have ample parking that's just minutes away from the cinemas.
P.Great to come here still after so many years of movies in this location... Love the decor.
C.Entering the venue you are going through a transformation from the "real" world into the world of fantasies with incredible interior design of underground tunnel, shipping containers over rustic brick walls. Nice chill out lounges invite to relax and enjoy drinks and nibbles. 5 out of 5 for my taste. Sadly the facilities were messy and dirty and require some urgent attention before this cinema's reputation as a great place for entertainment is starting to suffer.

N.We go to the Metro often as we enjoy the movie experience. The staff are always friendly and helpful and we mostly buy the 5 pack of tickets which are a good price. However I now take my own drinks and sweets as I believe they are way over priced here.
T.I come here often for the cheap movie tickets and the free validated parking, also free on weekends. The facilities are pretty old and on occasion when sitting down the arm rest just comes off the seat and some are in need of a good clean. The service is friendly and helpful. The food and drink as with any other cinema is overpriced, example, a large frozen coke was $14. I do prefer the facilities at event cinema and hoyts at te awa but again i do go to metro hoyts for the cheaper tickets and there tends to be less people in there also, another good point
H.Great cinema, excellent seating and foyer area. Went here for a morning movie date with my husband and had the whole theatre to ourselves. Good quality sound and screen. Pricey sweets and popcorn (a standard of all chain cinema's!)
C.Lovely seating, so comfortable, and the screen after the ads enlarges so the black boarder is no longer visible which my partner loves. The foyer kind of reminds me of a night club, next time I shall upload some photos and everyone can judge for themselves. I enjoy how theres a large screen playing trailers in the foyer so while you're waiting to book your ticket, you're not left entertaining yourself. One downside is the drink dispenser. The floor gets extremely sticking with fizzy and its kind of off putting.

We were at the last screening & didn't know how to get out of the building, the way we came in was locked... we found a way out eventually.
J.Excellent location, right about the mall, perfect on the weekend after shopping as not many people, ticket staff provide excellent service, information given while purchase ticket about when door open, time of movie start, as I've brought 2 senior. The seating is comfortable, clean. I found the volume quite high when the trailer screening when makes the movie sound weaker, other than that I think is perfect

Okay so yesterday I went to see my favorite movie of all times (for the second time), which is Once upon a time in Hollywood. I'm French and I look like 12 year old girl so ok I understand that you want to check my ID, but 3 times ? That's a bit too much. First time when I bought the ticket, second time someone came to me when I was comfortably sitting in the cinema, and a THIRD time because they thought I had I FAKE passport. I felt utterly offended to be honest, I was just going to watch a movie, not asking for a visa. And don't get me wrong I understand that you want to check the ID because we all know how harsh Tarantino is in his movies but to get to the point where you have to check my ID three times ? To watch a movie ? No people that's too much.
Otherwise the movie is still really really good so go watch it.
D.Good renovation. Like the refillable drink station. Tickets are pricey when it's $60 for the whole family. Kind of makes staying at home and renting for $7 better option. But a good experience otherwise.
A.Lux, comfy and spacious. Screen was medium in theatre I went to. Theatre's smaller since upgrade. Tickets are expensive but wait, food/snacks are out the gate overpriced!

J.This is quite a unique cinema with its 'Metro' theme. The efforts pay off with what is a fun and creative environment where you can take plenty of interesting shots for your Instagram story. The cinemas themselves (as opposed to the auditorium) probably need a little more of that same love though.

S.Not much crowd. But you do need to get in earlier or you'll find someone occupying your seats. Delicious popcorn and other options to choose are ice creams, candy and cold drinks.
H.The movie theatres are cleaned and maintained regularly. Another patron had left their smartphone on a couch in the waiting area and when I handed it in to the staff they were very grateful and gave it straight to the patron

C.Very friendly staff and good facilities. It's also important to note that some of the cinemas here are a bit more narrower than normal so booking seats in the very back row isn't always a good idea here.

S.Good experience and cinemas were very tidy. The audio wasn't to loud, excellent viewing so too the staff are really helpful and nice.
J.This may not be the fanciest, biggest or most modern cinema in Hamilton, but what it lacks in technology and size it makes up for in character. When you go to the cinema at Metro by Hoyts you get transported into an almost surreal atmosphere, a vibe that I can only describe as Ultra Violet Sewer Pipe. Look closely at the motif on the carpets and you will find tentacled monsters, look up and around and you will see steel pipes and containers and metro-esque walls. The cinemas themselves are always clean, picture and sound quality is good too. They have also just installed a few of their cinemas with the reclining chairs but I have yet to experience these. It is never very busy here and in my opinion that makes it the perfect cinema especially for sneaky mid week, late night film watching.
A.Nice theatre and staff. Affordable if you go on the right day or take advantage of their deals. Foods expensive but hey it's a theatre so you gotta expect that.
K.Very accessible. The wheelchair user area is a bit close which results in sustained looking up which may be an issue for some. Great if you love that up close experience

M.No music in theater made it awkward for the five people waiting for the movie to start in silence. The temperature was also cold in the theatre. Bring something warm to wear. ❄️

K.I love this theatre because it's smaller and not so crazy crowded compared to the others. It's closer to my home and access is less stressful to get in and out of.

G.Guys, theres got to be a better way. We waited for AGES to get just tickets, while people were making up their mind on what food to buy. Why not have a vending machine or queue JUST to buy tickets? Or a seperate counter for food? Or a food pre-order, like MacD's? There were some REALLY ratty people - & not just us - by the time they got to the counter. Other than that, seats were comfy, & rows not too close together.

Unfortunately some cinemas very small.
V.Not a lot of staff on late at night and the food and drinks are way too expensive
