This is a beautiful park full of adventures Rose gardens Duck pond to walk ways to children's playgrounds to picnic areas to sing so much more. You can expect a friendly quiet and peaceful environment to amenities. Leisure spent at this location I can recommend to a great family day out.

A very lovely park. Flowers in bloom and trees are awesome. Pity about the weeds growing and the rubbish in the pond. Flowers are also in need of a good watering.

Lovely park in Hāwera South Taranaki New Zealand 🇳🇿 . The statue is J M Barries Wendy the companion to the statue of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens London. It was gifted to the children of Hāwera many years ago. Worth a look

Ideal for families with young children. There is a play park for the littlies, and a pond with ducks on it, please don't feed them bread - it is not good for them... Rather look up what ducks eat and feed them accordingly... There's a beautiful Rose garden, tennis courts and more...

Kids had a blast! Nice big fun park, gardens and pond.

Great place to stop, especially if you have children, had my 13year old grandson and he enjoyed his visit. The surrounding gardens are well laid out and have a variety of perennials.

Awesome park to take the kids to, a wide range of things that kids can do nice seating areas for the parents, clean bathrooms, nice touch of wildlife and the gardens are taken care of very very well.

Over the many years of traveling to Taranaki from Manawatu, my family and I have stopped here for a picnic lunch. Nice grounds and play area for the little kids

What a lovely place to take the family or your partner for a Walk. Very nice gardens well kept. Wheelchair accessible toilet and clean and safe. Plus a play ground nice a safe. So what you waiting on go VISIT it now. 😄.

Nice park with a play area and a lake and a public toilet. Only minus is very little parking closer to the playground but you can always park at the TSB hub.

Great play grounds for all ages, nice and open for picnics, plenty of rubbish bins and seating and shade. Well worth the visit!

Super beautiful in King Edward park. Don't know who he is but he's left one hell of a legacy. The gardens and flowers are gorgeous , nice playground for the kids, a lake for the ducks and even a pirate ship to explore. Bring along a loaf of bread. Lacks seating for picnics but nothing a blanket can't fix. Nice events every now and the . 8/10 only because of the seating sitch.

What an amazing asset for the south Taranaki region. Fabulous playground, breathtaking rose garden. I highly recommended you take a look if visiting region or live hear and want a great way to spend a family afternoon.

Just love the park. So well kept and the playground is great for little kids. Only thing I don't like is teenagers take over swings and hang around sometimes being a nuisance

This is an awesome park with Heaps for little ones to play on. The gardens are lovely, the kids love looking for the strawberries they plant in the gardens. Way to plant kai for the people Hawera rawe.

It's got everything any age would enjoy . And you are allowed a dog on a leash

There are a variety of events that happen throughout the year like 'Sounds IN the Park'& "Art in the Park" - there's a playground for children while enjoying the gardens and public toilets. Close to food outlets too.

We have visited here numerous times since moving to the area, great tidy place to visit, soft flat ground for walking, beautiful well kept gardens, and an excellent playground for the kids.

Beautiful gardens and park with swings adults can use ducks in the pond peaceful and serene and when a concert is on its beautiful sititng under trees listening to the entertainment

Was born in Hawera a long time ago . Left at age five. King Edward Park was my favourite childhood memory of Hawera. Have visited a number of times since and had been a bit disappointed at its upkeep. But today ......... fabulous immaculate. Great kids play area, ponds sparkling, demonstration hedges clipped to perfection especially the pomaderis? ( perhaps the corokia hedging might be allowed to flower a little more) Flower beds wonderful. The range in colour of the alstromerias and presentation of these in particular.

King Edward park is tranquil yet has a playground for children to play in. Often there are activities put on by the Council.
