Awesome airport, has everything you could possibly need for before and after your flight. Easy to find things, staff are friendly and always willing to help. It’s small but has no wasted space, definitely one of my favourite airports in NZ!

Nice airport in general, nothing much once u pass by the security desk. Just left waiting, would love to see a little shop or food place. Yes there was already a cafe but unfortunately it was closed. Overall, not bad at all though.

Small but not regional sized for sure. Overall, was still pleasant looking inside, however there is a ton of construction going on right now that can make finding your gate confusing as well as driving around the front and not going down the parking lot ticket side. An Air NZ check-in baggage belt was also broken today so the lines were held up. Other than that, there's a handful of shops inside and I'm assuming at least one restaurant although we didn't stop to look. One thing I have to particularly call out in a great way is the accessible dual flush toilet buttons, best ones I've ever seen, that should work especially well for the blind.

This airport works well, from the layout to promote flow, to the staff who efficiently work with a smile for customers. Add to that great coffee from the central and large cafe upstairs, and this becomes a relaxing experience for any traveller.

Located 17 Km far from Dunedin city. So remote area with less traffic which ultimately enable commuters to easily reach to the airport. Spacious airport with all the amenities. Taxi service available . Ample paid parking available.

Delightfully quirky but honest about it (like the locals). Relax! A few quality shops, expansive view of the valley and reasonably comfortable seats. Charging stations for phones and laptops. Free (public/open) WiFi. Beware that many flights will board via the tarmac, and you definitely need an extra layer for when the icy wind hits you on the walk to the plane!

It was a very safe airport. Health and safety protocol was prevalent all over the airport. You would feel safe seeing the security measure being put in place due to current Delta variant in Oct 2021.

Nice little airport which gives the feeling of a laid back domestic airport in spite of being an international airport. A few shops are present on the airport which offer a good amount of things to buy. The seats are comfortable and nice. Free Wi-Fi is available for the visitors. Charging stations for phones and laptops are also available. Many flights board via the tarmac which can be a bit difficult for some people, but no major problems. The weather can be cold and it is good to check the advisory before planning any travel. The views of the surroundings are great and marvellous. The only drawback is the unusually long distance from the Dunedin city. Nevertheless it is easily accessible by road. Overall very well recommended.

Great Airport. Regular direct flights to from Auckland Wellington and Christchurch. Staff are helpful and there's a number of cafes to choose from. Koru lounge recently upgraded.

Easy to navigate.. food choices.. Aviation Security are officious and worse than most other airports .. the rest of the airport experience is great

Flight to Christchurch on Sunday morning after a long night - surprised to find a pleasant view, great coffee, and indie music. The Dunedin airport is absolutely chill.

Great airport. Small and easy to get around. Everyone was very nice. The lines inside were short and fast. Easy taxi pickup.

The airport isn;t very big but they do have quite a few things to do. On the top floor by the escalators there is a display with many animals in the region including a moa. At the baggage claim downstairs you can see a penguin looking at the conveyor belt. If you are hiring a car keep an eye out above the door since the hiring area is outside. As with other airports this place also has a souviner shop. There's also an area with bean bags and chargers where you can wait before heading through security. Quite a nice airport.

It's small yet still runs like clockwork. Had no problems collecting the Juicy car rental we had booked online and didn't have to wait for our luggage either. It's quite far from town though but it's probably better from a noise point of view from incoming flights.

Really concerned as some people here aren't keeping a distance and not wearing their masks properly in times like this. I saw one man took his mask off for a while and put it back it on once people stepped back from him. As I entered the building I thought I would of had to show my vaccine certificate as it's been made mandatory and they didn't ask. Please do something about this

Not bad at all. Indoor playground for the kids, easy to get around, modern feel. Nice food at the Cafe, although was a shame the coffee shop in the departures lounge was closed. Clean toilets.

A small airport in Dunedin, 30minutes drive from city center. Big parking area. Easy check in with Air New Zealand.

A pretty good airport - a good selection of coffee and cafe options. Clean and easy to get around. An entertainment area to keep the kids occupied. Prebook a cab to get a fixed price to/from the airport -$60 each way with kiwi cabs, not sure if the other taxi companies do the same. A walk up cost is around $100 owing to the distance of the airport from the city.

Nice little airport sort of in the middle of nowhere actually about 30 minutes out of Dunedin.

Nice selection of shops in addition to being airport, parking prices not to bad. New departure area has toilets and cafe if you want to get thru security, not sure anlbout open times on cafe though.

During the level4 lockdown period Dunedin airport were organized. The staff were efficient and as pleasant as is possible given the situation.

While the airport is modern, clean and effiently laid out, not having an agreement for uber and other ride hailing apps is a demonstration of poor service to customers. I could not figure out why I could not order my uber! Taxis fleece travellers with $100 charges (cheaper with shuttles). You get just 4 stars.

I am not good with technology but managed to check ourselves in and print our luggage tags and boarding passes. It was very straight forward and security and everything flowed really well.

Parking prices are horrendous. If you park up to go meet someone, expect a $5 charge. No wonder so many people park in Momona and walk. The airport itself is really nice.

Love coming to dunedin Airport. Always buzzing feeling going near or far. Friendly staff at check out. Friendly staff at dinning out. Friendly staff at boarding. Friendly staff on the planes.

For some reason I arrived well ahead of my flight. Maybe the shuttle timetable. Had enough time to do a tour of the plants along the roadside. Amenities are excellent. Only gripe I have is about the overbearing loud music upstairs. Hard metal and Michael Jackson when I was there. Highly annoying.

Small but spaceous regional airport with some international connections. Only downside is the security screening which was very slow. They are upgrading so will hopefully improve.

Great little airport, let down by an EXTREMELY over the top security service. Only place in NZ where catching a domestic flight requires removing footwear (ankle boots), metal detector AND body scanning..... Not even the busiest airports in the Country do that. Bitter, a bit. Come again, if I have to.

Airport is nice and tidy on the inside, and the staff are usually prompt and polite. They don't have a great variety of food and it's not always available, so don't rely on being able to get a bite to eat before a flight. The parking also isn't great. They only have space for about 15-20 cars to drop off so you do need to get a bit lucky to get a spot. For some reason they're still using temporary barriers to mark out the drop off zone, even though it hasn't changed in many years. Overall it does do the job it's meant to, but you're just best to expect something more akin to a regional airport than an international.

I spent my first 30 years in Dunedin and during my corporate years after moving to Welington flew in and out several times every year. The Airport I have been in and out of over the past days is so many levels better in all ways

Always organized. Be prepared for cold wind when getting rental car. High quality facilities. Lots of space to Welcome home and say good bye.

Its a nice little airport. Its also nice that the price for parking isn't as expensive as other airports and its close to the building to walk to and from. Well set out.

I gave it 3 stars because it is so far from Dunedin, other than that its a great airport, if we holidayed in Dunedin again we would stay in Mosgiel as thats where the airport is, cars can be hired from Dunedin airport and there is also a Shuttle to the airport.

Its a fantastic airport the lounge staff are wonderful with a great selection of food. Swcurity processws has changed where u nownhave to remove your shoes.... poor them haha

Dunedin is such a great city, let down by it's boring airport with antiquated ideas, like blocking Uber for people when they arrive. It's 2021, not 1915! Embarrassing for Dunedin

Very quiet at 8am.There was quite a few parks for the public.Well signed for exits.

Pretty good for a medium sized NZ airport. I do wish those trans-tasman flights returns to other cities, rather than just the weekly at Brisbane. I also wish there were flights to Queenstown to handle the tourists better, rather than driving the long way to and from. Now I know it might seem like a short distance, but I mean come on, it happens Nelson to Wellington, so there's no reason we can't do Dunedin to Queenstown. I also think some parts of the airport need to be redone to meet modern standards. For example, there are some info boards and history panels that are seriously out dated. If they could be updated over the lockdown period, it would be really nice. Also, compared to other local airports in NZ, this airport is too far away. In some areas of Dunedin, it could take up to half an hour to reach the airport, whereas others take 10 minutes or less. Overall, a fine airport, but I do think this place needs some changes to best suit the needs of Otago and Southland.

Not a big airport but still manage various flight which connects all big cities of New Zealand and some international flights too but for Australia only. Overall its a good airport suiteted 30 km away from main city DUNEDIN. Keep 1 to 2 hours difference between leaving and your flight timing because you may get traffic. Shuttles are available 24hrs so not a big deal to go. It is near mountains so makes view very beautiful and gorgeous.

For a small regional airport, it is well designed and comfortable. The toilets are huge and environmentally conscious. I am in this airport almost every week, fetching or dropping my husband. I travel often and have left my car in the carpark with no problem. It is sometimes cheaper to do it this way than taking the shuttle. The airport is a bit far from the city so you need a lot of time to schedule your trip to the airport. The cab or shuttle services are good in informing the passenger when booking by phone. This airport has served my family very well.

Our local airport which all the family use from time to time over the years. Always seems efficiently managed. Car parking. It would be nice not to have to spend so much time looking for a park when having to leave the car longer than just a drop off. Not really a complaint but ... .

This airport is a 30min drive from Dunedin central. There is great parking/drop off or shuttles to catch if you pre order. The rental car counters are an outside under cover short walk close to the airport & the cars are parked close by. Check in is with screens downstairs for those who have not already checked in online and there's plenty of southern hospitality and help from the close at hand ground staff. There is an escalator or lift to catch to ride to the second floor where you can find the gate/s to your plane, seating, delicious food outlets & a tourist store. Security screening for the jets are upstairs too

Small and easy 2 navigate

Dunedin Airport is awesome, it is small and sweet. Quick and easy, but a great welcoming place. You don't have to wait a long time to get somewhere in a line. It is just awesome!!!!!

Excellent customer service at baggage drop off! We were running late with a toddler and a newborn in tow and the Air NZ staff helped us pack our pram and car seat into those awkward black bags.

Fast efficient check-in and eateries and shops while waiting for flight arrivals and departures, also children's play area and informative displays about the region and its attractions

The time I spent waiting at the airport just flew by. 😁 Just kidding. It was really boring. Nice airport tho. Very clean floors. Lovely.

Its a nice airport, however the Security Line was quite long, they need more machines to do the work. There is not much food choices.

Compared with the Auckland and Christchurch Airports, Dunedin Airport is a smaller one, less busier but offers less expensive food, better deals and relaxed atmosphere. I really enjoyed this airport and am hoping that in the near future, there will be more international flights coming to Dunedin.

Great hassle free airport

Quite far from the city (around 30 minutes). Also fairly small airport. There is more space near the checkin counters than by the gates for people actually taking their (regional) flights.

It's an airport in the middle of a paddock. Probably the most isolated major airport anywhere in NZ so don't expect to stop at the shops along the way. But its modern and efficient and easy to find your way around. Get your food and drink before going through security. Lots of seats and tables and good food and drink choices. Even has an entertainment centre but bring some coins.
