Reviews of NZMCA Park New Plymouth
A.
Absolutely loved this place and cannot believe it was free, first class establishment, a must see
R.
Very welcoming custodian for NZMCA members.
There's no Dump station here but as we have two cassettes we are finding it convenient to take them to the local Mobil Dump station.
B.
Beautiful setting, leads to a lovely bush walk one way and river walk into the city (55 minutes) the other.
H.
Absolutely immaculate for the surrounding nature and atmospheric feeling that you get when ever you come to this park.
Greatest place to come and chill when you’re with your mates and you just want to experience relaxing summer‘s day.
It’s also extremely convenient when trying to walk to certain places as they provide shortcuts throughout the suburbs as well as giving you beautiful views at the same time.
K.
Well done NZMCA. Clean facilities. Well laid out. A must stop if you need a place to stay over in New Plymouth.
J.
OMG gorgeous
Lovely big shade trees
Excellent for dogs
Great water hole for them. Fabulous bike trail into the city meandering thru bush and following a small stream.
R.
My eldest and I took the dog for a peaceful walk to ground our self's and to feel closer to my partner as he would often go for a nature walk in these parks. Dear easy my love.

R.
Very nice and quiet.....handy to the city......grounds can be soft/sticky when wet.....great place.
S.
Quite a pleasant little park away from the local pukekura park, small but very quiet for where it is. The Huaroki tennis club is right beside it and so is the caravan club campsite. There is a small stream running through it which used to be a swimming hole once upon a time.
Could possibly have been used by the school above it, as there is a track that goes to the primary school.
H.
Popular amongst visiting campers the NZMCA Camp site at Huatoki Domain is one of 2 nzmca sites in New Plymouth area. The site is located adjacent 2 the Huatoki stream which runs down a mostly bush clad valley to the city centre. A walkway runs along side the stream.
Set in a valley surrounded by native trees ensure protection from winds, however the grass covered site does suffer from soft spots in winter.
The site is centrally located for local parks, access to the mountain, bowl of brooklands and city.
C.
Nice park in a quiet spot amongst trees. Plenty be of walks nearby. Handy to Carrington Road for the drive to Pukeiti.
