It was an awesome day with kids, they loved being there, one of the best park for kids in oamaru.

This playground is exactly the same playground as the friendly bay playground. Ample parking in this area. There's a small train track, bbq facility, balance robe, hamster wheel, boat in the sand pit, elephant, triangle slide (temporarily closed), and a bike park across the street. Located right next to the sea.

Visited this lovely place a year ago and still have only good memories of it! The playground was clean, benches were clean as well, a lot of kids playing in there so it great place to spend some time in. Close to the Blue penguin colony as well. I love the painted boat and other things for kids to play with. The railways stations is great touch tho! If you are seeking steampunk atmosphere you deff can find it here! And there is a coffee shop as well!

This is a wonderful playground with a little bit of difference. The kids of all ages loved it.

Very creative and playful steam punk sculptures incorporated into the play equipment. Also they have everything from swings and slides, to jungle gyms and a zip line. They even have one of those crazy rolling tunnels that are usually only ever at carnivals.

A very unique playground. Has a boat, swings, flying fox, barrel, train. Coffee shop close, for those freezing cold days.

the steam punk hq is simply too cold. i would definitely reccomend them investing in some heating. 10 dollars is very reasonable for the intricate displays of metal work. however a bit confused over what justifies something as steam punk, rusted metal??

Fantastic play park to go and let off some steam, great views of the beach and little harbour too also public toilets. There's a zip wire, slides, climbing frame, swings and a see saw amongst other things. Good stop off place to break up long journeys.

Ocean to the East and Mountains to the right make this playground special right off the bat. But then you realise that this is a fabulous fairly new and fun "steampunk" styled play area. Swings and slides are there of course, but so are slackline and flying foxes. The balance area of this playground just seals the deal. Cafe right on the edge of it and a lovely safe wee beach for the inclined.

Great experience for kids. Playground, beach and cafe, 3 in 1. Can easily spend a good one to two hours here.

Great playground. Well maintained, with a novel collection of steampunk themed play equipment. Plenty available for a range of ages. Bbq equipment available but does cost $2 to use. All facilities are in a good state of repair.
