L. D.On Wednesday I went on a fishing trip from Bay of Islands. It was absolutely one of the best days of my life..after fishing we took our cleaned & filleted catch to King Wah Chinese restaurant & it was cooked to perfection!

The sea was a little rough but exciting with so much wildlife in this area. Die Bay ist erst dann am Schönsten, wenn man sich wirklich Zeit dafür nimmt. Man kann einerseits an der zerklüfteten Küste abseits vom Hwy 11 die einzelnen Buchten erkunden oder aber mit dem Kajak direkt aufs Wasser. Dazu einfach in Paihia ein Kajak mieten und bis zur Motuarohia Island fahren. Es ist sehr wahrscheinlich, dass man auf Delfine trifft. Die Insel an sich ist malerisch und an einem Tag ist das locker zu schaffen.
