Nice environment although lollies and chocolate etc were pricey for there sizing. Makes an expensive outing when with a large group especially. Overall friendly staff and clean facilities. 🙂

Best cinema ever like 2 bad theatres in it but pretty good and good food but this one time the person working the counter just awkwardly stood there and then took ten minutes to get my regular popcorn and coke but it was worth it she accidently gave me and my 2 other friends large popcorn and coke so uhh win win and great cinema

Food is super expensive as if they're made out of gold or something. The seats in the theater isn't to bad not that comfy but durable. Staff were friendly after listening to me moan about the prices lol

I have been to some really cool movies in this cinema although I did not enjoy today's movie Jungle Cruise . Background music far too loud for my sensitive ears! It had good parts that were actually funny , others not so good.

Very expensive. You are looking at upwards of $30 for a movie and snacks. I only go for highly anticipated films.

Went to James Bond movie, big seats lots of room. Only downfall the food is too expensive.

Typical movie theatre. Great screen and sound quality however the seating is becoming a little dated and was beginning to tear on quite a few of the seats in my cinema. Still a really enjoyable experience with good service.

Just watched Quite place 2 - even better then 1st part, is my opinion. Easy to buy ticket on counter or atm, just communicate with staff as they can help heaps. Polite and nice staff. My first movie in cinema during covid19 era.

Just saw a horrible review written by an Andrea theobald. I believe I am aware of the staff member she has written the review about, I'm disgusted she has brought up his race in her review because she and her daughter knowingly didn't bring ID to an R16 movie where ID is required. Just goes to show her name isn't Andrea but is Karen.

Had an amazing time the staff were very accommodating I accidentally brought the tickets for the wrong time and they handled the situation like champs and the were just amazing to conversate with.

Over priced but as good as the movies gets

The entrance looked clean and shiny. The machine to retrieve our tickets was easy to use. Rest rooms were clean. Staff member taking tickets outside the theatre was friendly and helpful. My eyes took a while to adjust to the dark to find my seat. I liked the amount of leg space and the comfort of the chair. Some very creative adverts on show before the main feature. A warning sign in the ladies restroom for light flashes in the Star Wars movie is a good thing.

Awesome customer service needs an upgrade on seats but otherwise enjoyed

Popcorn and service are good. Great arcade machines, student discount. Only downside is the seats in the cinema are a little stiff.

I took some boys to see Fast & Furious 9 movie. Great Film that, but there might be a Number 10 in the making of that series.

Very clean and presentable and great courteous staff. The seating was well spread out and comfortable with plenty of room to stretch your legs, relax and enjoy a good movie. The surround sound and heavy bass made the movie even more intriguing. Overall, I'd go there again but probably wouldn't buy from the snack bar, the price I paid for an ice cream I could have bought a whole 2 litres. Just saying.

Great team. Clean and awesome cinemas. But as a 3D fan, their decision to (mostly) not show films in the 3D format when available is problematic. I understand it’s a business decision, but it doesn’t mean 3D fans have to be happy about it.

A bit cold, but otherwise great. Very comfortable seating.. got to get use to the smaller screen.

Good Cinema.We saw Hobs and Shaw.$70 for 4 adults,not including popcorn and drinks,make sure you get in early,because they choose what row of seats you sit in.We ordered the Family combo 2 boxes popcorn and 4 cups of drink$26,1x bag of pods $7,1x bag of maltesers $7 and 1x bag of party mix lollies $7. Bag of small donuts $6.cost of movie night a total of $123. Not bad night out,Great movie.but a little on the expensive side.4 stars only.

Mark and the team are great. They know there stuff and are so friendly. Recommend. Awesome work. Great range of products. The reward scheme is cool to. Seen at least 4 free movies this way.

Lovely staff, unfortunately food is way over priced

Very good Cinema enjoyed the movie (Red Joan) plenty of room for my legs, I'm over 6ft tall, seating very comfortable. Price at the snack bar are very high but they have a "Captive Audience".

Love going to the movies n the staff are primo.....

Took 4 kids to see Lion King. Booked online, took the express queue at kiosk. Cinema seats were like armchairs, super comfy and spacious. The layout with groups of seats is much better as you don't disrupt people so much when your taking kids out to the loo. Loved it. My bank balance didn't, mind you - certainly not something we could afford to do often.

Seating and theatre badly needs a upgrade

Cinema seats are small with little leg room. Positive side: the cinemas are kept clean. Enough staff on duty during busy periods. Good variety of movie options

MAIN ADVICE: In summer these theatres feel cold, do not wear just a t-shirt. Low wait times, good service. Typical cinema prices ($17 Adult, $11 Child, $$$ for food). Good sound and screen systems. Some padded theatre seats more comfortable than others.

1445 session of Birds of prey, so quiet and good service by young fella at counter. Took my daughter, cheapy Tuesday pics. The seats are needing a refurb as they get hard over 2 hrs.

Nice place not very busy clean and tidy. Does not matter if you sit at the front or back you can see the screen with no ones head in the way. They have food and drinks to buy but a bit over priced best off bringing your own drink in. Fully air con. Picture and sound quality are great.

Went to see Johnny English on Wednesday night at 8:15pm and we almost had a whole cinema to ourselves. Only 6 people in total. Very comfy seats and a great movie. Lots of laughs.

Pretty good for a local cinema. The snacks are as you would expect a little bit grossly overpriced and the staff could be a little bit better at keeping an eye on people while actually in the movie theatre. The amount of times i had to go and get a staff member to stop sombody recording a movie on their phone or stop throwing food all over the place is a bit high for me.

Seats are comfortable and selection of films is ok but limited. Always a big queue for the popcorn and there seems to be only one person serving everytime I go. Staff are nice to you if you're not "foreign", which was a shame because I enjoyed the experience otherwise

The cinema was good, clean and tidy. The movie was excellent and the confectionary was yum. Overall a good time.

The cinema that we were in had carpet missing and was very shabby. Don't know what they spend the money from ticket sales and not to mention the ridiculous price for food on. The only part that I enjoyed was the movie.

Perfect, plenty of under cover parking in the building next to it , the service line to get your tickets move fast ,they have a self servce machine that you can print your own tickets out on if you book on line ! Very quick this way and dont have to wait in line, not less you want popcorn and drinks .

Although I've had problems in the past with online booked seats where not all tickets have printed. The staff are willing and eager to help out and they are always showing the best and greatest movies with a great cinema experience.

A great place to fill in a few hours

I saw boyheim ryhasody at this theatre with my free event cinema ticket I won.I loved the junior popcorn ice cream drink deal for $10. good access to the toilets when going out during the movies.Nice comfortable seats.Thanks to the lady showing me how to get to event cinema in the square.

Good movie theater with seat selection. Screen size is a little small compared to what I am used to in Canada, but still had a great movie experience.

It's ok, staff are nice, some of the theatres are great, others aren't (uncomfortable smaller seats, pretty average sound). Popcorn is ridiculously expensive but I guess that's the same everywhere....

A great movie theatre. Experienced and helpful staff. It is always presented well and has a good range of movies. The Cinebuzz card is a great extra to incentivize visits. The new food court downstairs is a bonus.

Maybe I had high expectations after a bout of movie watching at cinemas scattered around the region (Starwars at Shoreline waikanae, Starwars (again) at the Embassy Wellington, and Wonder here), however I wasn't impressed. The screen wasn't much bigger than the shoreline cinema (or at least seemed that way based on seating distance), although shoreline was much more comfortable. And the sound was rightly atrocious such that in quiet scenes it was hard to hear clearly - not something I'd expect from any cinema!! That said the staff were very good, and the cinema clean and tidy in general.

Price point is high, considering all the other entertainment options out there now, and that the sound is below that of a decent home theater system in some of the cinemas, but as it's a relatively good complex.

Screens aren't very big and it's very easy to get sat behind someone who blocks the screen, but otherwise a pleasant place. The people who go aren't annoying and let you enjoy the movie, and the service is good.

Great audio and visuals. Has a great snack bar with beer!. Also comfortable chairs and well designed seating plans. Offers online booking to also secure prime seats

Decent enough though the seats are becoming uncomfortable and should be replaced. Could do with some self service kiosks for tickets to avoid long queues in addition to online booking. The service is reasonable.

This place is everything you would expect from a modern movie theater. Many different movies to choose from, snacks and good toilet facilities including wheelchair access to everything. Recommended.

Has 4 sizes of everything (popcorn and drink) movie ticket prices pretty expensive. Way more than Wanganui.

Good theater, price is heavy for one movie ticket. The movie is great. I can't handle it when people eat loudly through the movie though. Spent almost 40 dollars on two adult movie tickets.

Went and watched lion king the theatre was packed only a few seats here and there. I also started clapping when it finished and everyone started clapping was funny and awesome 😁 5 stars for sure

we were given seat but as I'm going though haven't vertigo....we got seat right up the from so we ask the lovely lady at the check if we can change and she let us change to the afternoon session and got much better seats so thank you

It was cold in cinema 2 for the showing of 1917 on Tue evening, a cold draught which got worse as the evening wore on. Definitely made for a uncomfortable viewing.

James Bond movie was amazing

I love the cinema's but have to say some do not have air conditioning an its very hard to injoy watching a movie when your stuck to ur seat from sweat..i found it so hard to stay in my seat..had to go out a few times before i pasted out.

Always busy but that's usually a good sign. Machine to print tickets if you've booked online and vending machines if you don't have time to queue.

Great cinemas, pity they dropped the self serve ticket kiosk but they have bookable seating, loads of screens and lots of movies. A great night out.

Standard cinema really. Was in their biggest cinema (no.8) and there are red lights all over the roof. Look like possible smoke detectors. But when the lights were up they don't look like smoke detectors at all. My point is, they are kind of distracting. And as with all cinemas in NZ the volume is never quite loud enough. Dialogue is always drowned out by someone's opening a bag of lollies 4 rows away

I get to go and watch Annabelle comes home in cinema 7 it was alright, probably not the best cinema due to the layout of the seats in the room. It make the screen look small.

A little bit of help when I'm struggling and feel as though I'm nearly over this depression and sickness because of constant life worries and problems to just feel amazing and normal, event cinemas can be seen as a socializer

Nice well signed cimema although the lift to upstairs cinema was not working ANd my mother found the stairs quite difficult

It was good and the people were nice. Needs a bit of a clean though. Movie was big and sound was crisp. Bass was clear.
