This is a beautifully appointed theatre, and quite grand for a small city. The acoustics are pretty good, and a wide range of acts and performances is catered for. The ticketing people are helpful and ushers are respectful and supportive. Seating is fully tiered as should be expected. It pays to be mindful when parking before an event as there is no specific theatre parking; you will need to find your own parking within the central city, or organise other travel arrangements, so plan to be a little early.

Magnificent venue; the auditorium alone is worth the price of admission. Acoustics were great (to my amateur ear) and seats comfortable. Sight lines were also good.

Wonderful concert and so good to be back enjoying music. The theatre was warm despite the miserable conditions outside.

Went to Regent with three grandies. Viewed Sing a long with Frozen songs. Excellent voices and clever use of stage with minimal stage set. However l consider $36.00 for one hour ten minutes. rather steep in pricing. Would really like a breakdown of what council gets. How much show gets . .Many beautiful little Elsa's and Anna's in costume who appeared to love show.

Very cool old theatre, great sound and views from the circle for the concert. Only gripe would be that it's far too hot when sitting upstairs. Air con not good enough for the big area.

I love this venue, its my favourite place to perform I perform here all the time! The staff, the dressing rooms, the seats, the auditorium, love it all!!

Amazing night out here...saw Bill Bailey. Comfy seats great ambience, good uninterrupted view and reasonably priced drinks. Staff were really friendly. Will definitely be back!

I love the regent I almost now it inside out I go there often wether watching a show or preforming I think it's the best in palmerston north

Really cool venue. We had seats right at the back and as long as your near the middle the view was great. The staff were all lovley.

The 3 F's.. Omg! Our seats were Fantastic... A great view. the show we saw was Fabulous Howard Morrison take. and lastly un... Forgettable. Talked about the show for day's.

One of the two best theatres in NZ, I think. Stunning foyer of marble and light, and with a feel of history and age (if only walls could talk). Pretty good acoustics and can attract a good local crowd. Toured through here a few times with an international touring band, and we all love it!

Great place seats are comfortable and shows always good down size is so hard to get a park so make sure you make time to find a car park when going to a show

Awesome venue for an epic dance show

Sister act was a amazing show. The regent was very well organized with the seating because of COVID restrictions and we were still able to see the stage from all angles.

A marvellous place to see concerts as I went to the pink Floyd experience and it was a very good one. I've seen them in takapuna North shore Auckland.

We had the traditional Chinese performance to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival here, the great facilities and platform helped our show look fantastic.

Fantastic show and the crowd were awesome at following all the instructions under level 2. How great to have a theater that can accommodate this.

Great historical building that hosts many events in the region.

Its lovely, the perfect venue for special celebrations with its grand staircase & multiple function rooms in the middle of town. Any seat downstairs in the auditorium has full view of the stage.

Nice staff, comfortable seating although a bit oddly numbered but we got there, great place for events.

A theatre with heritage and super professional setup that can accomodate community as well as the most demanding pro gigs. The space is versatile and transforms as needed. Book your wedding here or come to see the biggest big bands, this venue will charm you with its shows and activities.

Beautiful venue two floors of viewing the stage very clean and well maintained rest room's plenty of food outlets, cafe's outside the venue.

A beautifully restored Art Deco theatre.The staff are very welcoming and usher you to your seats.There is a refreshment shop downstairs where you can quench your thirst.Inside there is a grand staircase and beautiful chandeliers can be seen throughout the theatre.Surrounding the stage are rich velvet burgundy drapes and above is hand painted artwork and friezes surrounding the walls.The ceilings are ornate and colourful.The seating upstairs and downstairs is very comfortable.A magnificent place to watch a show.

Good venue however food & drink choices very limited, & they sell some separately away from bar & for cash only.

We went to see 7 days live here and found it to be a great venue. The bars were a bit congested due to the place being sold out but they had a second bar upstairs and the staff did their best to get through the lines fast.

Saw the wonderful NZSO tonight. They are a fantastic group of classical musicians. A great asset for New Zealand.

Arise Church was here today. Lovely place to be in this amazing building.

Great venue and good facilities. Had two if my graduation ceremonies here and it's always a well organised event with lots of free parking for everyone. When you do have to pay for parking, it's cheap and plentiful.

Had a wonderful night at the Ballet. It always feel special at our magnificent Regent so thankyou to those who invested in doing it up.

We love the regent on Broadway. The staff are cheerful and helpful. The building is gorgeous. There is a great selection of top notch shows and concerts on offer year round.

Nice art deco theatre. Tickets to everything seems to be wildly expensive here but this may not be solely the theatres fault. Be aware that with the front seats, if you sit Infront of a tall person or you have a child < 8, you or the child may get an obstructed view of the stage.

Went here for my sister's graduation so can't help but love the place!

Great example of a classic city theatre which was nicely redecorated in the 1990's (?). It's a great asset for the city with touring concerts performing their and also puts on local shows, school productions, dance competitions etc.

Lovely old theatre, ok seating. Asked for an aisle seat and was allowed to choose from a selection. All seats have an uninterrupted view of the stage.

Here for graduation.. November... It was really hot!! Inside & out ! Especially with hundreds of students graduating & family members watching. And no obvious cooling/aircon system. Space however caters or a large number of people quite well

Great show great theater.

Although a bit dates it's a great venue, perfect location with parking and great bars nearby. The prices are much cheaper than for events in Wellington which is great for me living halfway between the two cities. We went to a showing of Rocky Horror, the staff were excellent, great fun, inclusive and helpful. Spraying us with water during raining scene was a memorable and fun touch!

I LOVE this theatre. Bloody lovely

The seats are designed for a fast exit after three hours. Less room than cattle class on an airline but maybe people were smaller in the 20s. Really enjoyed the show we went to last night, Jeremy Corbett and the 7Days crew did not disappoint. Best theater experience you'll get this side of Wellington.

Wonderful performance of Messiah by Palmerston North Choral Society and Manawatu Sinfonia.

Pros - beautiful venue, friendly staff, Art Deco charm. Cons - dressing rooms are a bit stuffy; not much could be expected of PAs that is old, outdated and sounds tinny (could do with tech upgrade for the benefit of both patrons and performers).

This beautiful old-style theatre recently hosted the National Ngā Manu Kōrero Annual Speech Competitions. We attended for one of the two days of competition. The atmosphere is grand, whilst maintaining a pleasing intimacy. The views and accoustics were really good. I love old theatres with easy-grade staircases for less mobile audience members. You can a sense of community with other audience members whilst being drawn in to the on-stage performances in a personal way. I'd love to have reason to visit again. Tau kē!

I think the plaza is a wonderful place to visit nicely set up bright. Lots of wonderful shops and cafes in there are 3 banks in therr so as mall open all week the bamks have to be to. ASB BNZ WESTPAC. THERE IS A ANZ TERMINAL THERE TO USE EFTPOS TO WITHDRAW MONEY ETC. THEN THERE IS A KIWI BANK TERMINAL TO. There is a food area you are able to go through to countdown supermarket.parking an hour. Then you go to a parking machine near carparks and by foodcourt to add more money if gone over. Wonderful place to go areas to set down in plaza. Children playing area youngies. The 3 telephone shop in there spark vodafone 2 degrees. Well you need to go and check it out and enjoy it.

Beautifully restored historical theatre. A lot of shows throughout the year, from international acts to school productions. Could have a better selection at the bar though.
