H.Ngati Toa Domain in Plimmerton, is a really nice park which has the benefit of open fields on one side and the beach on the other. The playground is not that big, but with all the natural opportunities for fun around, it doesn't need to be. A great park for connecting with the outdoors.
L.Great overnight camp close to Wellington, perfect sunny day spot with lots to see and do nearby including a park for the kids and sports fields and venues included. Check out the boats at Mana marina and grab a bite near by. Train straight in to Wellington or north to Kapiti coast
G.Best free campsite in the Wellington area. Sea views. Lots of boats coming and going. Thirty minutes to the city.
M.Great spot for walking the dog. Best at low tide on the beach as rocks make it a bit dodgy for running the dog. Dogs are meant to be on leash on the playing fields but off lead for the beach. Bit of bird life and a few rabbits in the dunes. Saw a leopard seal once but they are pretty rare. Not the best swimming spot but great for kite surfing. Campervan facilities are limited to one public toilet.
S.What a great location to have some fun out on the water. Westshore Sea Scouts have participated in the Onepoto Regatta here on multiple occasions and have loved every moment of it.

I.This is an awesome spot for a short camping experience. Very grateful to the porrirua council for making this freedom camping spot available. Also the amazing dog park in Plimmerton, best one I've ever seen.

G.Has a minimal playground for the little ones but lots of room for them to run about. Pleasant place to bring a lawn chair and hang out by the water on a nice day. Shallow water allows them to splash around a bit when it's warm.
K.Arrived in the dark due to late ferry. Found this thanks to camper mate app. Woke up to a beautiful view
J.Park up for a night or two and catch dinner òff the beach, fantasic sports venue for cricket,footy & squash.
H.Good area for a easy walk. A lot of sport is on weekends when its fine weekend: no parking space and hard to turn around or wait too long to get out. Three nights camping is allowed with camper van in specific areas. I saw some people fishing and marina is not far.
S.If you can't find a park you can park near the new world and walk through the train under pass

Still the same old toilets which are a bit dodgy due to the half door so watch your kids in there, anyone can easily peer over the door.

Ngati Toa Domsin has been set up so that you can make it whatever you want. Picnics, freedom camping, sports, fishing or just having a stroll.
E.Fabulous place for camping. Near supermarket and train to take a trip into Wellington!

R.Clean public toilets and great place to spend a night or two in a motorhome. It gets packed pretty early so make sure you arrive early. The spots on the right offer the best flat surface and least amount of wind.
N.Great park in the middle of Paremata where you can watch rugby, go fishing, there are freedom campers and places for them to berth. And then there's the boating club.. Cool place!
J.Our first experience freedomcamping. Don't recommend arriving late off the ferry... some of the other campers can get easily offended. Great site. Toilets clean and tidy.
Just need to park so door out of the wind as was very windy the day we got there.

R.We exercise our dog here. Our dog Jack is blind and having a clear area with no trees is a must to throw the ball for him. Then he can use his nose to find it without running into obstacles. Being next to the water is nice too!
L.Great playing fields, small playground for the kids, gorgeous views of the harbour, and public toilets - although those are dark and a bit scary really!
A.the new playground is amazing for small children if you are watching weekend sport.
The grounds cover rugby, football, play center, boating club, dog training grounds, and over night camping is welcomed
L.The walk around past the boat sheds is nice, lots of friendly people around.
J.Good place, handy for to supermarket, and freedom camping available for self contained vehicles. Toilets Playground, Marina, boat ramp, and views, nice to just park up and have a yarn.
S.Love stopping here overnight before and after the Bluebridge Ferry crossing. The doglets love it too! Unfortunately they have blocked off one of the very best places for our motorhome!
W.Great place to stay for the night if you're in a campervan or car. There's public toilets and lovely water views. Was a great sunset and sunrise

L.A lovely domain to play sports, follow the walking path through to Plimmerton, play in the sea, camp and walk your dog as there is a dog park there too. There is also a small play area. Porirua Harbour is situated next door.

G.The site is great, pitty about people walking put-bulls at night around the caravans. Stupid pregnant local who thought I was 'sneaking up and scaring her dog' - wait 'till she has that genetically deficient sub-human and see what she has to say about stray dogs walking the park.

P.Can get muddy but surface was in great nick. Great grassroots hospitality at ParaPlim rugby clubrooms.
D.Beautiful place to enjoy a brisk walk with the family and just relax either by the water or on one of the many fields if there aren't any rugby games on.
