I had an excellent experience on the full day trip, would definitely recommend taking the full day option if you can. I think the half day would have barely given me the chance to get into the fun of things before it was over.
Both guides on the day were great fun and covered the important safety instructions with a minimum of fuss. They made it clear that the more adventurous jumps were totally optional, those who chose to sit them out were still involved and had plenty to do, so don’t worry if you think you might not have the nerve for the bigger stuff. That said the main canyon traverse still has some pretty big abseils.

A great day that even people with no canyoning and limited water experience would be able to enjoy.
The guide was really knowledgeable and the pick up location in town was convenient.

My husband and I had such a great first experience with via ferrata! It's a great way to spend a few hours climbing (especially if you're not much of a rock climber to begin with), and the views throughout are stellar.
D.
Top notch via ferrata with great guides and a really unique experience compared to a lot of the stuff in Queenstown. Great way to spend a few afternoon hours. Don't miss their canyoning experience as well!

My dad and I had an awesome time on the half day tour. The whole experience was seamless, friendly and professional, and the canyoning itself was awesome. Beautiful nature, and an exhilarating way to experience it. It's not as challenging as I expected it to be, and even though the water is quite cold, it never became uncomfortable since the gear they provide is excellent. A must do if you're in Queenstown!

Fun excursion. We did the half day canyoning and it was fun. It was less challenging than we were expecting, but still involved slides, jumps, rappelling and hiking. I would probably do the to full day one as I was hoping for more of a challenge. Great your guides that were very helpful. Must do
M.
Great team, amazing energy. The canyoning was fun. We had a big group so there was a lot of waiting, but we still were able to enjoy ourselves. The equipment they gave us was great! It's obvious they care to upgrade the equipment.

Excellent Guides (Derek & Emily) Very professionally run operation. I highly recommend this company.
We did the ½ day trip which in retrospect was a big mistake. I strongly encourage anyone that is even mildly athletic (and can swim) to do the full day trip. I suspect the clients are more agile on the longer trip. The most fun I had on the excursion was actually helping the non-swimmers in the deeper sections of water where they could not touch bottom or were very frightened. I would estimate that the entire section of river/canyon could have been done in a 1/2 to 3/4 hour of river time. There were 11 clients on our trip of which two were non-swimmers and two more were very unsure on their feet.
In any event, great job, excellent guides and stay away from the ½ day trip if you have done anything like this before.

This is by far the most amazing day I have had in Queenstown in the 7 years Ive lived here. I cant believe I haven't done canyoning sooner!
Our guides made me feel super calm and relaxed, thank you guys so much. I will definitely be back!

If you want to do something adventurous and get out into nature then this is your tour. This was an exhilarating experience. Guides know the canyon very well and made the tour feel safe. One of the highlights of our trip.
J.
Awesome experience! Had such a fun half day with our small group. A reasonable amount of jumps and slides! At first it was scary, but it got easier when I got over my nerves. The two instructors that looked after us were very professional and always made sure we knew what we were doing. Would do it again with this company!
N.
Good design of canyoning experience. Fun time. Length of activity was about right to expectations. Guide was solid, but wasn't as attentive as I'd expect for some of the slow learners in my group. I felt I had to help them at times to make sure they knew what to do.

Queenstown Canyon is awesome if you're looking for a half day activity. You get to slide down some waterfalls, jump off cliffs, zipline over creeks, and abseil down cliffs! Our team, Javier and Mike, were awesome and they helped us all understand how to go about the different canyoning stages safely. They were great at helping those feeling uncomfortable at certain stages feel confident in taking the plunge! There were certainly moments where I was a little anxious but continued and super glad I did!
E.
My husband and I did the Queenstown half day trip with Pete and Tomoki as our guides. This is SUCH a fun way to spend half your day! The canyon is gorgeous, all the staff is super friendly and helpful, and their equipment and facilities are quite nice. This was our first time canyoning, and will not be our last! Hope to take on the Routeburn next. :)

Epic wee half day adventure ! Great guides knew their stuff for sure Alex & Brodie were good sorts. Perfect for beginners and did a bit of everything so super happy with the day. Every New Zealander should do it !!!

Just finished off doing a full day trip with a small group of people, was an absolute blast! Did plenty of jumps, abseiling, hiking and finished off floating down a river taking in the view! Was a fantastic time and our guides Alex and Taylor were professional and hilarious and made the experience loads of fun.
C.
It was so much fun. We slid down rocks, abseiled down cliffs, jumped from heights and zip lined across pools. It was a great day. Couldn't wipe the smiles from our faces. Our guide Uba was fantastic! Highly recommend doing it when I'm Queenstown.

We had a great time and you get kitted out in all the safety gear etc. We did the full day one and it was quite intense. You need decent upper body strength and be ready for cold water and a hot hike up the Routeburn to start with but it is a really fun thing to do, just not for the feint of heart!
D.
This was a fun entry into canyoning. You drive 20min to where you put gear on. Some if it's not well looked after, I initially got boots with a large rip in it and my friend had a rip in his wet suit(just not what you expect of $200). Anyway, another 5 min drive to the canyon. Intially couple of ziplines, absailing, slide down waterfalls, jumps and zipline into absail. THE ONLY reason this was good was due to small group size. We only had 7 people. Tour guide told us it's usually 20 people and they actually have to cut out the good stuff which honestly leaves the trip with nothing. So can't imagine that would be enjoyable all. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and felt safe. One tour guide was amazing, other one was bit inpatient sometimes depsite the canyon being marketed as no experience.

Highly recommendable adventure with great value for your money. We took the 4 hour canyoning trip. All equipment was provided and 3 guides + 1 photographer took care of us all the time. Absolutely great adventure including everything you could wish for, abseiling, zip-rides, sliding down water falls, different jumps and swimming.
C.
What a wild experience! We did the Routeburn full day adventure. It was fun and challenging, with really great guides that are passionate and make you feel safe the whole time. A must do for anyone after an adrenaline packed activity and a unique way to explore the gorgeous routeburn area.

We joined the amazing crew at Canyoning Queenstown for a canyoning experience recently and LOVED it. Every staff member from booking to jumping off rocks was well experienced, organised, enthusiastic and friendly! Our guides Yuba, Pirate and especially Seb really went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. Walking to the first flying fox was an adventure in itself let alone flying through the trees, abseiling, rock climbing and was much more than we expected. Although the water was super chilly this added to the fun!! Looking back at our GoPro footage we realised that this was so unlike anything we'd ever done before. Big shout out to Charlotte for helping us make lasting memories!
E.
These guys are the best. Best value for your money out of all the things you do in Queenstown. The guides and the photographer were hilarious and very good at what they do. Even if your not into trekking and climbing you should totally do this. Canyoning with this company was an amazing experience and they have the best prices out of all the activities you can do in Queenstown. DO THIS!!!
S.
Incredible experience but not for the faint hearted. There is a decent amount of water coming down those valleys making your normal abseil or rock slide quite extreme! amazing day.
P.
Had the best time with Andy and Derek as our guides today! Really fun and nice people. Anyway the weather forecast said it was going to be cloudy but it was such a sunny and good day outdoors. Highly recommended
M.
Only 2 via ferratas in New Zealand and they run one of them. Very pro and friendly staff! Awesome view on top! Recommended!

This was my first time canyoning and I had the best time. I can definitely recommend this company and the routeburn track. The guides are both professional and fun. You feel safe the whole time and enjoy every moment.
D.
Ferg and Shane were great. This was the highlight of our trip to Australia and New Zealand. It didn't matter one bit that it was raining the whole tour. We were comfortable and well equipped by the crew here. You literally walk in the door, and they have you covered till the end.
E.
Amazing experience, as a teenager that loves water and scrambling around having fun and is super cofidence in water, I thought is would be a bit on the safety side and quite easy, but it was loads of fun , suited to everyone from my mum who hates this kind of stuff and the guides were lovely helping her though the canyon , to me and my brother leaping of rocks and scrambling around. We got kited up quickly with good gear so we didn't get cold (just make sure your boots are tight enough to stay on), and we started of with a couple ziplines , then abseiling which the guide let you down faster than I would have expected and has a couple tricky steps at the bottom, then we slid down a couple waterfalls , which was a bit scary but is honestly so fun, then we jumped of into the bottom of the waterfall which I proceeded to get stuck behind which was a bit of a laugh, after making our way though the rest of the canyon we got warm showers and hot chocolates to warm us up.
D.
One of the most unique activities in Queenstown. Push your limits in a safe environment, see stunning views over the town, and do something that's not available in many places .A nice bonus zipline at the end! Recommended
M.
Ferg, Gus and AK are fantastic guides who are patient with noobs like us who needed a few seconds to psych ourselves into some of the activities. I feel like the two-hour option is probably the best given how cold you start to feel in the water, but it's packed with multiple ziplines, cliff jumps and abseils. Will definitely be recommending to people!
S.
Best adventure experience in queenstown. Just as a hint, the half day canyoning experience is actually jam packed with activities and for a first time experience is actually sufficient. Do the half day first before committing to the full day. It takes it out if you!
G.
Awesome experience. The staff it's just amazing, funny, supportive, kind and specially its clear that they love what the do. You will feel so many emotions and sensations! It worth it, definitely.
M.
Felt safe but yet challenged, had I lots of fun and great memories. I wish if I had my own camera with me. Thank you for the lovely afternoon.
L.
Incredible time, one of my top favorite activities in Queenstown. You do need to be in shape since you have about a 20-minute hike up the hill with all your gear and a wet-suit restricting your every move.
O.
This is a must do adventure, it wasn't to hard but the experience was unreal. I loved every minute of it from the repealing down rock faces, to cliff jumps and zip lines. It has something for everyone.
F.
We had an amazing first-time canyoning experience with Andee and Ricky and they were awesome instructors. Now we want to do the advanced one!
O.
The guides are great and funny. I'd recommend renting a go pro so you can take photos, because the canyoning is a lot of fun.
M.
Fantastic day! I would recommend that everyone try it! The half day was great! Rachel and Tomoki were amazing, so much fun!
D.
I ended looking this far more than I thought I would. Even though the water was colder than I thought unfrozen water could be, you rapidly warmed back up. Great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again
G.
Both canyons are the best activities from Queenstown. Brilliant day out, safe and fun. Shout-out to Yuba the legendary daredevil!
A.
Shoutout to Riley and Brody!!! They are amazing and fun guides! Bought this on a whim, don't think anyone should miss it.
This is a must do. Pretty Strenuous, but loads of fun!
J.

(Translated) It was a really fun experience, except that it was too hard to climb.
The scenery was so beautiful.
When I climbed the mountain on the 7-hour course, it was disgusting because there were so many stools of cattle.
It was a very exciting experience to come down.
If you are not a good person, I recommend a course to go up the mountain by car.
