G.I stayed on the beachside site for a few nights in January 2022 in my caravan. I was really pleasantly surprised what a great campground so close to Auckland it was. The kitchen, toilet and shower facilities were better than I have ever had in other campgrounds. It was nice and quiet at night after 9pm. The short walk to the beach was great, and of course Whangaparaoa has so many beautiful beaches to explore. Also, Bobs Burgers on site were delicious and a really good find. Thank you Pinewoods for a great stay.
K.This place is Amazing. The price is really reasonable and there is lots to do both on the grounds and locally. The cabin we stayed in was clean and tidy. Equipped with air-con and a full kitchen. Slept the five of us easily. Shower water pressure was excellent (so important!) and the supplied bathroom products were lovely.
A.We enjoyed our stay at this large holiday park, we were in a tent site and used the kitchen and bathrooms which both seemed clean. The campsite we got was nestled between a section of cabins, it was reasonably flat for a tent setup and enough room to park a car. The park was close to the beach which had some great views.
M.Pinewood is a great park there are a decent amount of grass spots in the main area of the camp and a varied mix of grass and asphalt spots up in the hill that are spread out between the large amount of cabins and permanent campers (try to stay in the main area if possible) there are a couple of ablution blocks with free unlimited time showers and smaller kitchens, there is however only one dining area. It's only a short walk to the beach and surf club, there is a decent Chinese takeaway and a four square only a five min walk away and Auckland is an easy drive for day trips if you want that sort of thing. The prices are reasonable and the owners are friendly and I'd stay there again if I'm around the area.
J.Kids loved trampolines and playground. Walked to Red Beach every day. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Campers considerate of kids and kept noise down. Tent, camper van and chalets choices.

A.Adequate space, power, nice kitchen, toilets and shower facility and very close to the beach. Got home today from our family trip and the kids absolutely loved it. We're already planning our next trip and will most proberbly stay much longer.
R.I was well prepared to give this campground 5 stars until, the noise became ridiculous. The campground backs onto the Red Beach Surf Club and very loud music was playing right through to nearly 1am!!! It sounded like there where 2 parties just over the fence!!!
This is very disappointing as most campers, who do travel, some from far away, only want a quiet nights sleep.
On the plus side it is reasonably clean with excellent amenities.
We are packing up to go home for some well deserved sleep
F.Rented a really good cabin. Sleeps 5. Good for families and lots of things to do including choice of 3 beaches within walking distance from Jacob's Ladder. Shops handy and great restaurants on Orewa as well as well as Orewa Surf Club for a bistro meal. Highly recommended

D.Very clean. Good facilities. Jacobs Ladder beach is phenomenal! Owner's are super friendly. We parkednour camper van in a nice level powered site. Owners did a great job spreading the guests out around the property.
S.Nice grassy well-siced campsites. Good kitchen. Excellent playground for kids of all ages. Price is a bit above average. The 50 Cent coins for the hot shower we got from the office. Good place to stay the night before or after your dive trip.
M.Nice holiday park with a large playground and spacious sites. Facilities are quite good. Staff was helpful and friendly. The locks on the bathrooms didn't work reliably and seemed unneccessary to me as the holiday park has a fence and gates anyway.
P.We've stayed here a couple of times in a cabin - the kids loved it. Red Beach is nearby, its ok but not a good as the main Orewa beach. Facilities are very good, but kids are not allowed to use bikes in the camp. Still, I'd highly recommend it.

S.Very clean with nice facilities. Security is quite high, with fobs for the gate, codes for bathrooms and showers. Not difficult to work with and front desk help was gracious and helpful for dinner planning.
M.I took three grandchildren on a cabin holiday up North during the first week of the school holidays last week. Our first port of call was Pinewoods Motor Park. It was by far the best cabin we stayed in and I must say, it was also the cheapest. It had everything that we required which included a TV. Very clean, tidy and comfortable and of course, very close to the beach. I would recommend Pinewoods to anyone. Great and thank you and will return next time I am traveling up that way and need a place to stay.

A.Great place to come to get away and unwind.
Kid have plenty to do, trampoline, table tennis, slides, outdoor play area, swings, monkey bars, rock climbing wall, basketball hoop and only a short walk to the beach.
There is a tv room and during the holidays there are programs run during the day for children.
If you want to bring your camper or tent there is also space for this with common are cooking facilities available should you need them.
The whole facility is well laid out and safe and secure.
Only a short walk to the beach, or a 5 minute drive and you can be in either Orewa or Silverdale where you can get your shopping fix.
A.This is our 2nd stay in the motel units. These are exceptionally well priced and caters for our needs (2 adults, 3 kids) We have had a great stay. The people are very friendly and helpful

S.I love Pinewoods and visit often. The only thing I don't like are entry streets to the park. Cars are allowed to park on either side of this narrow street which makes navigating a bit unnerving in a big rig. Council need to sort this!
r.Great spot, clean an tidy, nice facilities, a few of the older live in tenants were a bit grumpy with the kids on scooters, we realised that scooters aren't allowed after this but worth noting no bikes, scooters, etc but cars are allowed..
t.Great holiday park. Rent a batch, bring a caravan, take a mobile home or pitch a tent.
Private fishing spot and only a few minutes walk to Red Beach.
m.Great location and all the services you need, most are included in the price. Camper parks aliitle tight when parking, but there is plenty of space once parked.
