Short.walk through the regenerating forest. Caught a Cicada to interview and then managed to get three in a row that were a bit sleepy.

Nice walkways and peaceful if not crowded. The springs are beautiful with the bubbling and crystal clear water . You cannot swim or touch the water but it is still stunning .

Great spot. Better with sun and not horrendous weather like we experienced.

Easy parking and display boards b4 walk on how this place came to be explained what one was looking at. I was here 50 years ago and access was available into the water. I remember bathing in it.Even with limited access the place is still a great place to visit n see the wonderfully clear waters and springs .. If one studies the waters carefully the animal life can be seen within

Great area. Sadly too much emphasis on Maori than the European settlers that found the area first on horseback

Absolutely amazing so lucky to be able to walk to the springs very peaceful

This is a must see tourist attraction in Golden Bay, it's free and easily accessible. The bush walk loop is a highlight as you'll walk through beautiful native forest before arriving at the springs. Muddy parts have been addressed with boardwalks. I recommend you wear shoes rather than jandals. A slight disappointment is the lack of a raised viewing platform at the main spring to really see into the water and also the removal of the underwater mirror system that also used to exist. Hard to understand why those parts were removed. But the springs themselves are so amazing I thought it harsh to remove one star because of the shortsighted approach of the Department of Conservation. Note also, all the information boards are situated by the carpark at the beginning/end. I must be slightly critical of the lack of information at the actual springs. Worth a read.

The serenity that comes with this tapu spring is a thing one ought to have in their Takaka checklist. Will clear your mind, as clear as the water here.

Stunningly clear water. You will stand and stare in awe at it. Well worth the trip and the short walk to get there. DoC clearly spent a few bob laying down the boardwalk too, well done.
