Enjoyed a meal with friends tonight. Amazingly the staff catered for a large conference as well as members and guests. We selected the carvery as it was available instantly. Great selection of sides with the ham and the choc pudding reminded my friend of her Mum's home cooking. Well done Taupo 👌

One of the biggest and an amazing club in Taupo. Located within the Taupo city center and 3 minutes walk from Taupo lake. It is a great place for big groups and hangout and watch sports games together. The food is absolutely delicious and if you are going as a group it is such a wonderful place to be. The club is huge and have 5 to 6 tv to enjoy what you like the most. A must visit place for a group activities and enjoy. They also have live bands and music on specific days of the month.

Out of town visitor. Searched for good places to eat. Cossie Club came up. Thought I would give it a try for my last evening in town. Service and food good. Went to bar to purchase a wine to have with my dinner. Was asked if I had any sort of affiliation and when I replied with a no, it was suggested that I purchase a membership for $15 then I would be able to purchase alcohol. It was also mentioned that I could purchase soft drink without membership if I wanted to. Presently we are in tough times. Our tourism industry is being crippled by COVID. The club allowed me to walk in to spend my money and eat their food. The least they could do was to allow me to purchase a glass of wine, however the carafe of water was fine. I won't be making any recommendations unfortunately.

Can not fault the food. Everytime we eat here we are always satisfied with price, portions and taste. However when we tried the dumplings from their new menu we were left very dissatisfied. We were charged $12 for 5 dumplings that were heated up out of a bag. Not buying those again or trying anything else from their new menu.

We were transported to and from our accommodation by George the driver of the courtesy van tonight ...very special time for my wife and I ...it was our 41st wedding anniversary...it was kept quiet... and we spent it at the cossy club...a wonderful meal and great staff added to the atmosphere. ..my wife and I had an awesome time!.. highly recommended as a place that has value plus and a culture of being kind to out of towers. ..many thanks to all who work there. .cheers Mike and Dot

Visiting Taupo and decided to come here for dinner in the restaurant. Ordered Pork Belly with Mash. The presentation was nice. I like my Pork Belly served with a crusty skin. I was disappointed that the skin was soft and topped with too much sauce that was too tangy. Friendly service. Returned for the Friday entertainment in the main bar. I've seen 'Emerald Brothers' perform at my club in Wellington in the past. Surprisingly their attire was too casual, not what I've seen at previous performances. Also for the first 2 hours I wasn't impressed with their duet singing and guitar playing although the dancers enjoyed it. However I felt they did finally blend together nicely. Left about 10.30pm. Great atmosphere.

Visiting from out of town we decide to give it go. The bar was great nice friendly members. As for the restaurant should have gone with my gut and left but didn't. Wasn't aware of the seating protocol very quickly learnt when the waitress screamed at us from across the room asking if we had booked, signage wouldn't hurt! Meal was below average for the price was also having to endure listening to the wait staff chat about their social lives. The 3 stars are only for the bar

I've been to both the restaurant and the bar. Recently we had the buffet and it was very flavourful. Staff lovely. Prices are reasonable.

Returned to the Cossie club after about 18 months absolutely love the place. Bar staff are awesome, as is the security. A big thumbs up to the courtesy bus driver. Was that impressed, I joined as a member. Can't wait to cross the ditch again for yet another quality meal.

Revisited the Taupo Cossie Club after many years and what a wonderful surprise. Certainly has been some changes and I can only say for the better. The Staff in the Restaurant were all fabulously friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere and decor was very tasteful and the food was lovely. Had a great chat with one of the staff and discovered this is a very affordable club and very approachable. Thank you for a wonderful time

Thanks for the great rugby viewing last night. Great atmosphere, great service both in the restaurant and from the great staff behind the bar. Only negative comment is the heating, always too warm inside. But keep up the good work I enjoy spending time at the Cossie 😊

Bloody good for a Cossie club. Good food, great atmosphere, lovely people, kid friendly and just an enjoyable place to be. Watch out for the cops who like to wait outside the parking for you, much easier to take the club shuttle van for gold coin donation. Better than your local

The buffet did not have much choice in comparison to other cossie clubs we had been too, and was tad overpriced considering places with more variety have actually been cheaper, but that could just be the tourist aspect of Taupo. Lovely staff though, and the food itself wasn't bad.

Lovely meals, certainly good value, generous sizes, smorgasbord available. Homely and relaxed atmosphere, dance floor. A family environment with local artists to serenade the night away. Smoke free, accessible bathroom, easy access entry. Certainly good value and enjoyable. More for the middle age bracket and above but also great for family functions, get together. Curiosity bus but like most is not set up take wheelchair passengers if you can't walk up step to get abroad. For a club, any club like RSA whom members generally are less mobile and older, they still require that you can "walk". Also goes for health shuttles, only know of one that is actually set up to take a wheelchair. Disqusting in this day and age and Taupo being a tourist centre, needs to show the way so others will follow.
