The best movie theatre in NZ Big seats and spacious. Also, clean A little bit of extra pay, you get the lazy boy seats. So so recommend

We prefer coming here now instead of Hamilton. The recliner seats are nicer, the space is bigger and the food is better. The only disappointment is the Rubbish bins which get filled up quickly. I wondered if cinemas could have a bin to empty the left over drinks and pop corn so that we could recycle some of the pop corn boxes, give left over food to someone and reduce the rubbish space. Just a thought.

Excellent set Up to see all those New Release Movies in the Imax Movie theater with a Big Screen state of the Art Conformable Seating and a Great Sound System. Plus a number of other theaters in this Complex with equally good set ups. Food and drink available for watching your Fav Movies. Friendly Staff at a reasonable price.

I like these cinemas as they are probably the best in Tauriko/Tauranga due to being relatively new in comparison to the other cinemas, they are quite pricey you are look at $20 dollars on average for your ticket, however they do have Vmax cinemas which have mean sound quality. Bring your own food in if you want some snacks as food is not cheap either. I do recommend these cinemas as it can be a good experience.

Been twice this week to catch up on movies I've missed watching this year. Really good design and setting, which to be honest, is just expected now for new cinemas. However, disappointing in this day and age to see that the smaller theatres do not appear to have Dolby Atmos (really...?). Also tickets bought online still need to be scanned at kiosk and paper tickets printed so that the person admitting you to theatres can have the pleasure of ripping them up (really Event Cinemas - you are that behind the play??) Also, they have a bar and food counter which was not manned ie if you had bought online tickets you still had to line up with the others if you wanted to order hot food or drinks. Anyone in Event Cinemas management reading this? I challenge you to respond to this with reasons explaining the 1990s processes and service you are still using for a 2020s cinema. Would be hard to justify. Either ignorance, laziness or plain short sighted cost saving from managements part.

Very tidy facilities, we watched a movie in the Vmax theater which had an amazing sound system and very comfortable reclining seats for only a small additional fee.

There is no movie magic when coming to this cinema. It's all very big, bright, open, cold and modern. Would have liked a hotdog but they weren't doing them that day apparently. Consistency with selling hot food would be great, I know it's only a new option to this cinema (hot food). I went to see the new Ghostbusters movie as an advanced screening, it was on the smallest screen they have. I wish they had put a Hoyts in place instead

Great new cinema with all the bells and whistles. Great audio, rumble seats. Lazy joys and couch beds in the main cinema. Well priced kiosk for snacks. And a gaming room for before and after the movies. Nothing has changed since I first went still an awesome cinema. Live going there. Vax restrictions now relaxed. Just watched top gun 2. Amazing in the v-max theatre.

Beautiful theatre and comfy seats. Well trained and friendly staff. Just wish they would serve better popcorn and not be like so many other theaters. For the price you pay for popcorn it's of a low standard. The popcorn is too salty and I would like to put real butter topping on it and have other flavour options. I would like to see freshly popped popcorn and not pre-popped and already in the box popcorn. Who knows how long that has been in there. It's time to raise the standard.

This cinema is the best in tauranga as it has all the needed essentials when watching a movie. There is a wide food and drink range to pick from to what best suits you your friends and your family. Not to mention the Vmax Theatre which I highly suggest using for your favourite movie as it gives the most spectacular experience. 😁

Huge screen, recliner seats were very comfy.. Super loud audio.. Food was pricey but it's all part of the movie experience.. maybe eat at the food court before or after your movie.. normal seating and beds are also available.. toilets on-site.. had a great time.. nice staff too..

Very comfortable seats, modern theatre, nice snacks, excellent bathroom facilities. Only downside was the variable volume of the screened ads, shorts and of course the movie, from very loud to bone shakingly loud. It needs to be sorted. Sitting near the back under speakers mounted on walls not recommended, we moved further down the theatre seating. It remained very loud but less jarring and reverb.

Visited the cinema this week to watch a movie, the first in a longtime. The young staff were very helpful and professional but most importantly appeared happy to be there, especially during these challenging times for this industry. I bought my tickets and snacks online and easily collected them from the counter. TIP: Unless there's 3 or more of you in your group DON'T buy the jumbo popcorn, you'll never finish it on your own. The cinema is cleaned and maintained regularly including toilets that smell fresh and hygienic. All this made for a wonderful experience and I will definitely be coming back to enjoy the next blockbuster movie to be screened here. Cheers Staff keep up the good work.

Got told that we couldn't get tickets for 5 of us in 1 spot unless we got them for the day beds... when the movie started we noticed the theater was not even half full. However the day beds were super comfy, the theater was clean and we really the movie.

Very great cinema, I watched brightburn it was a great movie the sound quality at that cinema is the best I have ever experienced and I will now keep on going there for horror movie.Then the seat are like big leather couch and a big gap between people so you don't end up touching the other person. This is great because you can relaxed. Then the quality of the projector was the best I have seen. Then the entrance was very nice and a big roof witch made it look huge and with the shiny floor made it look very spacious. Then they had two computers to buy tickets your self to speed up the time it takes to get your tickets. But one thing that is bad that the food is very expensive. But over all 8t was a great experience.

Love, love, love the new theatre. Seating is soo comfy with heaps of leg room. I also loooove the recliner seating, really makes going to the movies enjoyable again. Lie back, relax and watch your show. The theatres all have daybeds as well, haven't tried those but they look comfy too.

Best cinema in tauranga especially in the V-Max not quite as good as gold class but the reclining seats rock, even the standard seats are comfy, I have not used the day beds but that's not my style. Anyway back to the complex it is very easy to book online and onsite bookings are a cinch, food option are all the favorites except tangy fruits in the plastic containers... great venue parking in the evening is great.

I have now watched three movies here and I highly recommend this cinema. The reclinable chairs are awesome and comfortable, they are my go to chairs now. The staff are very friendly and they keep the cinema tidy. Keep up the good work Tauranga Crossing Event Cinema!

The whole cinema experience is outstanding. My favourite part about it is that the standard seats are so comfortable with the opportunity to upgrade to recliners and even daybeds in the new Vmax cinema! Definitely my cinema of choice from here on out.

General comments from a few people is its to loud to the extent the a couple of groups had to leave before the movie was finished. I myself like to feel the bass to feel when someone slams a door but here I had ringing ears that felt unconfortable (sore) after the movie had finished and the next day. Apart from that I loved it.

This cinema is awesome. Your usual cinema will have little to no space between seats and usually will have quite small seats. Tauranga Crossing is the opposite and well worth the trip for a comfortable and less clusterphobic experience. 10/10

We did the online booking of our iMax tickets online, and it was so easy to navigate as well as ordering cinematic snacks (popcord, icecream, drinks etc..) at the same time. Cinema was nice and clean and the sound was amazing. Looking forward to our next movie here.
