Just came back from a wedding, absolutely amazing hair stylist. Emma was terrific, she remembered me from the start of the year which blew me away. She did my hair incredibly professionally, and exceptional service as she offered me a drink for the appointment. Left the place with a huge smile and feeling like a princess. I'll be back again !

My first time going to this place on recommendation of a friend. Good first impression - walking in everyone seems busy doing hair. Friendly well presented staff. Got on really well with my stylist. She even got me to buy some product which is a bonus for the business I guess. Definitely coming back here

The greatest experience thanks to the amazing staff! I had to bring in my 1 year old son with me for a 3.5 hrs appointment, and thanks to Grace I have not seen him during almost the entire session! She looked after him the whole time so I could have the best relaxed experience (10 thousands points for you Grace!) My stylist Zoe was just brillant, I had not really much of an idea of what I wanted and so she had free reign with my hair. Definitely not disappointed, it’s the best that I’ve felt in a long time! And as bonus they have massage heated chairs and wine :D Hands down to the best hair salon in town xx

I had the best experience there this morning with Emily. We have recently moved down and I was recommended the salon from other mums and I wasn't disappointed. Service was friendly and attentive and Emily paid attention to what I wanted and executed a great cut and colour. I was also really surprised at how affordable their services are. Honestly if you're thinking of booking, do it, you won't be disappointed!

Hair To Stare At has been my go to haircare destination for several years, and they’ve always made me feel like a million dollars. The atmosphere is upbeat and you’re made to feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door. With their recent expansion they’re now able to incorporate beauty therapy for a total pamper package. Last Thursday I had my nails done by Jess. She’s a sweetheart with the kind of engaging, positive manner that makes you want to pay a return visit and recommend this place to others. Corinna has worked hard to build a first class business, and assemble the very best team. They’re passionate about what they do and tick every box when it comes to customer service excellence. Super welcoming and friendly, I’ve only been a few times as my hair has been done well enough that I haven’t needed to go back as frequently as I have at other places. Also used the spray tanning service for the first time, was made to feel very comfortable and was told exactly what I needed to do before and after the tan.

Went to Hair To Stare at yesterday for them to fix a messy uneven choppy hair cut I got at another hairdressers. I walked in feeling nervous because of my last haircut, but thanks to Rebecca I walked out feeling amazing!! They completely fixed my hair and made it even better than I thought it could be. I have already had so many compliments about it. She listened, and helped me make the right decisions for my hair. I’ve been going to Corina at Hair2Stareat since I moved to Tauranga 13 years ago when she was back in the old salon . She is the kindest person, best hairdresser in town . The new salon does hair AND beauty and she has a great team . She is a fab girl boss and that shows in her amazing team who are all wonderful, kind, caring, creative and funny, as well as having the most up to date knowledge in town about hair and hair trends, colours and products. I love going to the salon- it is my second home, and all the team are just so attentive to all their clients. I now am going to Hayley who is 16 and learning the ropes under Corina and the team as she is training to be an stylist. Over the years I’ve got to know all the team, who are all brilliant at what they do, like Maya who changes her own hair so much sometimes I don’t recognise her! Nicky is also a first class hairdresser. Zoe does all the latest extensions and does a brilliant job, the salon has extensions you can’t get anywhere else .Ella has also done my hair while she trained over the years and now she’s an expert stylist. Rebecca is also one of the OGs and her specialty is blondes- many team members will get you to the exact blonde that suits. Jess and Mickaela are brilliant at beauty, make up. nails and spray tanning. Jadine senior stylist is also amazing at makeup. Lorna is also handy for whatever you need coffee, magazines and chocolate. 🙂 Impossible to mention everyone but they are all top class girls. I get my hair done with Corina and she is absolutely wonderful, listens to everything and effectively colours and styles my hair how I want :) She has great ideas as well so sometimes I let her work her magic because her experience and talent is priceless! I have been seeing her since 2004 and have never had a bad experience. Everyone always asks who does my hair... and I point them straight to Hair To Stare At! I encourage everyone to make their way over to this talented salon with their friendly ladies. :)

Maia and Corina did our hair for my wedding. Maia was so easy to communicate with in the lead up to the big day. She was really helpful when deciding what would be the best style for my hair and recreated a look based on the pictures I showed her. I was in town for an afternoon, made a booking... and then found that I had booked for the following day! When I phoned to explain my mistake, they were so accomodating and Corina, the owner offered to cut my hair. I had such a lovely experience all round. Massage chair as my hair was washed, great scalp massage, drink and choccie and a great hair cut and chat with Corina. There was such a friendly caring atmosphere in the salon, obviously lots of regulars and I came away feeling much better than when I arrived. Highly recommended!

I am in love with my first experiance at Hair to stare today. I am genuinely thankful I have found the most bubbly kind and professional hair dresser in Gab. I barely spoke a sentence about what I wanted after showing photos. I didn't get the blonde i wanted.... I GOT BETTER :-) :-) :-) Gab was friendly , professional and consulted with her friendly co workers for a second opinion. The outcome was wonderful! Great salon , lovely feel- perhaps a little loud for me , I enjoyed the quiet side of the salon. In saying that- you know it is a great place if it is teeming with clients and packed. It made me happy , relaxed and confident I will be back again. To continue my hair growth and blonde ambition. Large cudos to the owner for managing and running such a great salon with many wonderful staff members. You get the professionalism of the very best in NZ with very reasonable- i may even add- cheap prices. Not overly expensive as other hairdressers. Have other services available for their clients. I highly recommend going here I am going to be regular customer now and I live in Hamilton

Absolutely cannot rate this salon high enough. All of the team are so lovely, skilled and inviting. It is such a relaxing place to go and get pampered. I always walk out feeling a million times better than I did walking in. 10/10 service, would highly recommend (I already do to my friends and family)

My first visit to the salon last week and was really pleased with the result, Ellie was my stylist and said leave it to her.... so I did! Excellent and have now recommended her to others too :) Well, what a disappointment, some 2 years on and a loyal customer now, I get a phone call that my appointment which I have to book 2 in advance to get in so this was from approx 12 weeks ago gets cancelled. I understand for personal reasons, but I get told unless I go in at 7pm, that's the only alternative. I have to arrange animal care and can only go after work or weekends so really struggle to make appointments. When I can't make the 7pm and say I will have to find somewhere else as my colour needs attending to, 2" roots are not that good a look, I'm told"'sweet as". So, after eventually finding a great hairdresser in Elle it is with regret that I will have to find another ....but im sure it will be " sweet as" when I do. I am happy to always share good experiences, but equally I think it only fair to share bad ones too.

Corine and her team provide the best hairdressing service in Tauranga. They are professional, organised and keep up to date with the latest trends. What I like is they give expert advice , zooshing up my hair with a great cut and colour-I always get comments on my hair which says it all😊 The salon has a nice, friendly modern feel, the team offers a nice coffee which completes a top notch experience. They also offer excellent hair care and beauty products which are worth the investment some of which fit the eco friendly box too. I’m yet to try their new beauty therapy service which includes waxing, facials, tanning, eyes and nails. But going off my hair salon experience this service too will be a winner. Give the ‘Hair to Stare ‘team a go you won’t be disappointed and you’ll see yourself rebooking like me after a “feel good” look and experience 😊

Great atmosphere, friendly girls, drinks, all good! Love getting my hair cut now and so does my 5 year old son who used to hate it, and would never sit still! In July I had my first appointment at Hair To Stare At with Leon. Using the Olaplex product and Leon's experience and knowledge I was able to go blonde from brunette in one sitting. I am amazed with the results. A very happy customer and I will be returning. 10/10!

I've been going to Zoe for the last month to start the process of going ombré/lighter. We started off with a colour strip because I've had red hair for over 6 years now & so far the results have been amazing. I have not been to a hair dresser for 40 years or had my hair cut for 40 years,I’m a 63 year o.d Maori woman with a moko,I was feeling very unsure about going into hair to stare at,I was feeling abit shy and unsure of how me having a moko would be like some places I go into and everyone is uncomfortable and unsure if they should even approach me,as soon as me and my sisters walked in,all my fears disappeared,beautiful,friendly,cheerful,happy,no judgement just the best ever people,in there I cannot thank them for the best experience ever,people if you want the true hair experience this is the place,I’m definetly gonna go back,thank you all beautiful people,for me to feel so welcome was a big thing
