A.Excellent place to beat the heat and cool down. Fun filled filled day for the kids and adults, for non swimmers lots of areas to sit,watch the kids,volleyball and rock climbing, obstacle course. Staff were incredible!!!, friendly, helpful, wearing masks for the duration of the day and in very hot sun, always smiling,hats off to you all, well done great work..the kids and adults had a blast of a day.shaded areas and Bbqs available to hire. ...1st timers now converted to long timers..
Y.Overall good. Great venue, kids had a lot of fun. Though, didn't like the fact speculator has to pay $10 just to get in???!
T.This was one of those tourist activities that I wasn't sure would warrant my time but I was wrong (yet again). After a short drive in the minibus with Josh our guide and with Kayaks in tow we arrived at McLaren falls. Josh got some drinks and snacks ready for us whilst he unloaded the kit. The river ride (we were in the 2 seater kayak) was very rewarding and the fading twilight made it quite dramatic but the glow-worms (Māori name is titiwai, meaning ‘lights reflected in water’, and their scientific name, Arachnocampa luminosa, translates to ‘bright spider-worm’) were fantastic. Josh was a fountain of knowledge, honesty and humour and this adventure is right up there with the best of the glow-worm tours. I can totally see why this is such a hit with the cruise ship passengers. Thank you.

Would recommend having a couple more ladders on the pontoon, just has the one right at the end and a studier ladder on the UFO, is quite hard to pull yourself up...
B.This place is awesome, I always thought it was expensive, however it's actually fairly priced as there is a lot of activities to do. Also the staff are fantastic with the kids, super friendly and super helpful. Keep up the good work. You will be seeing us again and we will be bringing our friends here too.

Super fast water slide (which you can kayak down if you're brave enough), paddle boats, water trampoline, river kayaking, swing rope, high diving, rock wall, the 'blob' (big inflatable water balloon), BBQ facilities, little kids hot pool with slide... Yeah this place is just awesome.

All staff were awesome, friendly and helpful.
We took three boys , they had an awesome day. Heaps of covered areas for respite from the sun and cooler areas to eat. The park is really clean, it was cool to see staff going round picking up litter to ensure the park stayed spotless .
I would 110% recommend Waimarino, you get to try new things in a totally safe environment.
Great work guys, can't wait until our next visit 😊😎

N.We went on the glow worm kayaking tour and had a great day. Our guide was friendly and entertained us with his glow worm knowledge and poems. The tour includes a stop at the hot pools for a swim and a chocolate bar and bottle of water.
M.Was here to do the nighttime kayaking down the river to see the glo worms, the service from the two tour guides was both professional and friendly, jokes were made and the conversation flowed. The actual tour was superb and well catered for. Looking at the park there is plenty of slides,jumps etc to do

Z.Brilliant place for the family. Staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The only issue was the amount of people they let come into the park. At the peak of the day we were waiting quite a long time for rides at attractions. Other than that the facilities were clean and well kept. Will definitely be going back and the kids can't wait!
T.Water-based activity park with a load of things to do. Visited to take the organised kayak glow-worm tour, which was incredible. Our guides were really friendly and drove us out to our start point by van, followed by serving up cheese and wine on the banks of the river before we kitted up and took to the water in two person kayaks. After a paddle down to the dam we had an informative intro to the titiwai and then set off into the canyon for the glow show! Paddled back to finish off the tour. Lovely stuff! Thanks guys :)

O.Went here recently, all of the activities they have to offer are amazing, the high diving board is the perfect height for most tricks and to get a good adrenaline rush, the kayaks are nice and it’s fun to hop in one and just watch people getting blobed, there’s a nice water slide for the little kids near the rock climbing area, and so much more. This place is really amazing looking forward to going again

M.Did the kayak evening tour. Not a huge section of glow worms but a decent little stretch. Picturesque location and overall a great way to spend the evening. The hosts were great and would recommend
W.The day out in the sun was a very enjoyable day. There is definitely room for improvement. The blob for example was closed for nearly all day. It was open 3 times for a short while. I waited in line and was told that it closed before I even reached the front.
The kayaks and other boats were also closed when a wedding started. This is supposed to be a activity park not a wedding venue?
K.We went later in the season so was a bit cold but the gear was good the staff were great and came to our rescue when I fell off the paddleboard 3x. I'm sure the place will be super busy in the summer.
K.We had a wonderful evening with our guide Daniel. He was great fun to be with and accommodated our young granddaughters with ease. They would give him 20 stars.
T.Had a great time, but could do with more picnic tables and shade just more space, very popular water park but trying to look for a patch of grass to picnic on was very limited we got very close and personal with a lot of strangers, luckily they were all nice and were quite happy to make room for us. When we left we made sure to let other visitors know we cleared our spot for them to use.

We had loads of fun. Kind of amazed we didn't end up injured or drowned tho as almost everything feels like the sort of potentially hazardous activity that you just couldn't get away with in more litigious countries

I.It was great. Really great. Helpful staff, great amenities. This hydro slide is awesome, really get some air as you fly off the end. Canoes, kayaks etc. Great place to take the family, but do it as a day trip, this gives value for money and time to use everything available. There is a lot to do there.

However, facilities are great, nice and clean, there is enough of everything, staff is always very helpful and friendly right up to the last hour. They even sort you out with sun umbrellas and picnic benches. If anything then maybe another toilet would be good. we will be back again.
B.We enjoyed the day. We had a mix of ages and we found things to do. Lots of things to do kayaks paddle boards hydroslide small pool very the younglings. Bbq facilties but will need 50c coins. Wasn't busy the day we went so easy to find a spot. You can book a covered area for really hot days. Stairs up down and then back up a bit of a climb but there is access for wheelchairs but will need to check in with staff

11th birthday here, the park provided an awesome place for us, heaps of shade and a place to pitch the tent.
We hired the bbq for $10 ( they do have free bbq around the place) kids played all day.
Adults had as much fun as the kids.

R.Awesome place but can we please get the public holiday (waitangi day) surcharges correct. This year 2021 it's a Monday and on top of $120(Groupon voucher) I had to pay an extra $70 to get in for waitangi weekend charges(15% surcharge) in my opinion waitangi day is only one day not the whole bloody weekend my only down fall of the place which is money hungry
S.Very enjoyable place to come and hangout with friends and do the Iconic blob. The only problem is to do with options as it is kind of limited in terms of activities but would recommend in the summer time to go to Waimarino.

u.Awesome experience, we did the kayaking and glow worms. Joe and Olly were amazing very friendly and explained everything well, made it even more fun , absolutely loved it.

A.Such a great time, we were there for six hours and never sat still. Great for families and worth the entry fee. We got the the Family Super pass so enjoyed all of the activities multiple times! Great friendly and helpful staff were always on hand if needed.

P.The guide was really funny and informative, and the glow worms were really mesmerising. the equipment provided was fantastic - not a drop of water on my clothes when we were back on land - and the stories quite entertaining. The glow worms were not as many as I would have expected
A.one of the best water park adventures I have visited. its absolute fun! amazing people, friendly and helpful staff... we loved it! Some of the activities require good level of fitness.
J.This is a water park on a river. I thought it was expensive for a family of 5. Due to the time of year we attended no one was allowed to be spectators which I would have done and pay a lesser fee. However my 13 year old son loved it. We all went up river on kayaks. They were in good condition and you could go in a double with smaller children. The water slide was a shoot that you could launch a kayak down or just slide down. If you were to go pack a picnic and make a whole day of it. And prepare to participate! A few other smart mums wore wetsuits which is a great idea.

D.Great fun the whole family enjoyed our day here. Is a bit expensive so keep an eye out for specials. Most visitors had wet suits on but I was fine in board shorts and rash shirt in summer months. River current was strong so keep an eye on little ones. Life jackets are provided and required for most activities. Wets suits could also be hired.

D.We went to the Waimarino Adventure Park for an evening of sea kayaking and glow worm viewing. We were supposed to start with some wine and cheese and crackers on the dock as the sun set, but it was raining so we enjoyed the nibbles inside where it was dry. There were 3 other people on the tour with us - a couple who lived just up the road and their cousin from the UK.
It was raining pretty heavy, so we weren’t able to take our good camera with us in the kayaks. Even though we didn’t get any pictures, it was still a great experience. Kayaking when its pitch black out was a really neat experience!
D.Fantastic place, took kids age 6-9 and they absolutely loved it. Kayaking, sliding, swinging, rope course, paddle boats, swimming in a safe and fun environment in the river, we'll be back. Lifejackets supplied for all kids, but most fun if the kids have reasonable water confidence.

C.Great place for a family day out - or with a group of friends. Activities are river-based, there's plenty of shaded areas, plenty of activities to do as well. Need to take a packed lunch - they have a few BBQ areas as well, and some areas can be reserved. Life jackets are worn most of the time so kids have safety gear on them while playing. A little kiosk is there that sells cold drinks. We got vouchers from Grabone which were a bargain!! Def recommend calling in especially in the summer or those odd hot days!!

K.This was our second visit to Waimarino, we also came last year and loved it. Great fun in and out of the river, jumping from the boards, wrestling on the gladiator pole, bouncing on ( and off ) the water trampoline, pedalo boats and kayaks. And the hydroslide - omg that was fast! The grounds have lush vegetation, plenty of spaces for picnics, and bbq cooker is provided. It is advisable to bring your own food, the office really only has snacks. The younger kids loved the slip n slide and the warmer small pool. We found the staff to be lovely, very friendly and helpful.
H.The staff were amazing and friendly. Was a bit crowded when I came and the park itself was good but it would be better with more activities. Overall a good experience, had fun.

C.Sad to see supervisors standing together talking and then telling customers they shouldn't be using the activities without them present, I saw one incident that wouldn't have happened if they where doing there job , one guy told my kids to bring kayak up and then watch them do he's job that he's getting paid for , apart from that it was fun

J.The activities here amaze me. Everything you could want in one place and the clean cool river is refreshing and just a fun place to be. It's safe, friendly and thrilling all at the same time.
M.Mount Maunganui main beach is dramatic, with beautiful white soft sand and surf that's 10 out of 10 for surfies. Look out parents with young toddlers though, as this section of ocean has claimed many lives for the unwary as it sometimes gets quite steep and the rollers fierce. Rimmed with a selection of lovely cafe's and restaurants, many ocean orientated local and international water sport carnivals are held here. Amenities like showers and toilets are in plentiful supplies and the Mount Maunganui walk is a highlight of many ocean liner cruise patrons.

T.Waimarino Adventure Park has been located on the side of the Wairoa River since 1975. There is something for all the family, from swimming and kayaking to water slides and the BLOB, and everything else in between.

Beaucoup de chose à faire comme du kayak, du pédalo, du toboggan avec tapis, du plongeoir, une piscine chaude, de l'escalade et des saut sur des gros ballons gonflables pour faire sauter les gens aux bout et se faire sauter aussi. Eau très fraîche mais super soleil.
