Reviews of The Gardens of Isengard (LotR)
M.
Very nice place. Half an hour drive from The City. The kids loved it. They played in the Mini roads with roundabouts, traffic signs, give-ways. I enjoyed taking photos from the bridge overlooking the river. Highly recommended for a family picnic.

Wasn't what I was expecting. No bench nor something to say 'lord of the rings'. But still can imagine it and very lovely place. Not like the other places.
C.
Such a beautiful park! Crazy to believe that isenguard was filmed here. Went on a weekday and the park was very quiet! I would recommend spending time here it's beautiful and very relaxing
P.
Fantastic park to walk around in amongst the trees. The play grounds are excellent to fire kids of all ages and in the summer, a paddle pool and splash pad is avaliable to keep everyone Cool.
F.
Beautiful park and very peaceful, the workout plaza made me feel like I was training for American Ninja Warrior!
V.
Nice nature walk. Nice picnic area. Peaceful.
T.
A great place for fans of The Lord of the Rings, Immortalised on film as the Gardens of Isengard where the wizards Gandolf the grey & Saruman the white go for a stroll before a great betrayal
N.
We were here on Xmas day, lovely weather and the walk around the LOTR film locations was cool with placards showing how some of the shots were done
Nice spot for a swim but be warned that the water is icy cold
J.
Not too bad a place for disc golf. I haven't gone there for LotR, but there are some very nice native trees. Some big pines also. Nice park.

Love this place. So green n peaceful. Although if I was tourist who had paid good money to come see the place where some of LotR was filmed, I'd be rather annoyed to see an archway, sundial & some tree's. They could have at least figured out a way to get one of the big sculptures that sit at the airport, out to Kaitoki & ya know...make a scene 😂😆
