J.Wow this was really cool hidden away just over the Waikino Bridge on our MT Bikes we found these relics which of course were there the whole time. There is some interesting information to read which explains what had been going on there. If driving by its definitely worth a stop an walk around, over the bridge an to the left there is also a car parking area with a small 5 to 10 minute walk down the gravel cycle /walkway 😊
L.A bridge across the Ohinemuri River. Well maintained. Read the memorial information on the signs. The bridge connects a small carpark on the highway with the river walkway on the other riverside that leads to the Victoria Battery. Cyclists must dismount when using the bridge
