Full of palms. Easy track. Can hear cars throughout the bushwalk, But my goodness the kowhai tree at the south entrance was covered with tui

Stunning walk up to the lookout. A somewhat popular track, my almost 4yo and 7yo walked it. A gentle all uphill climb, take boots!

This is a fabulous area of bush. We walk up the Parata track a couple of times a week and it is great exercise. The Au track, which joins on to this track, is more of a tramping experience. I recommend starting this track at Huia St so you go up the really steep bit.
