Pet friendly holiday park by Waitara Beach and Waitara River mouth. Locals were fishing at the river mouth and the beach is calm for swimming. Free hot showers and really good location next to massive childrens park. You can park on the non-powered sites with sea views, sunrises and sunsets by the hill. Scroll thru and see photos of sunsets with sea views. The host is very friendly too. There is new world supermarket, gas station, restaurants, liquor shops, laundry and many more shops in Waitara so you can do all your shopping.

Was such an amazing stay here! The staff are amazing and so welcoming and the facilities are very clean. Washing machine and dryer as well. Great spot next to the beach and some of the best fishing ever! We will be returning again in the future!

A great place to stay. One of the owners even walked around and gave campers freshly caught fish. How good is that! A very clean and tidy camp. Wvome back one day😊

The place is tidy. We left the campsite very early, so we placed the fob in the key boxes. A few hours later, we received a rude call demanding us to go back to return the fob (the lady didn't even ask if we placed it somewhere before being rude).

One of the best places i have ever been at the north island. You get everything you need. Toilets and showers are very clean an new. Just kitchen and living room is a little bit old, but they want to make it new. The old host couple is very helpfuly and friendly. I was there in November 2018 and i would come back every time

Nice spot near the beach ,fairly basic, good value and quite , 10 mins from New Plymouth.

It's very clean and quiet holiday park. Although it's 10 minutes way from the CBD, I think it's still a very good choice when you try to find a holiday park in New Plymouth. It has kitchen, shower, laundry and near the beach. I stayed there for 2 days in non-power site. It has lots of non power sites near the beach. Also it's good value!

Great local spot. Basic but most importantly very clean. New Managers done a great job of tidying up the site. Next to a great cafe, large park and good surf casting from the beach..

Perfect place, nice and clean

Great flat spots. Good facilities, the kitchen is a little dirty and the bathrooms too. But for $10 per person it's okay. There are many trees so you can find spots with shadows. And they have powered sites which are $12 per person. No wifi but excellent signal. Oh and they have cabins too (don't know the price) and the hot showers are free.

After reading some of these reviews, I wasn't expecting much. But when we arrived we got to park in a large open area with lots of trees for shade and it was well maintained. The ablutions and kitchen block were like old time camping and I felt they were adequate for our needs. Kitchen could do with a bit of work but was still fine. Showers were hot and clean. Handy to the beach and only 20 mins to New Plymouth. I enjoyed my time there and would definately go back.

Beautiful place to camp facilities toilet shower kitchen very clean. People who run the camp are awesome people loved my stay.

Stayed two nights, nice new owners, kitchen very out dated and need more stove tops as way too small when a lot of campers arrive, we didnt appreciate this old lady who lives in her bus there and who thinks she can come into the kitchen and have ago about the plugs in the correct power points and picked on our little dog who is very good waiting outside the facilities. she was a real old biddy and seems to be the camp snoop.

One of the cleanest camp grounds I've been to. The facilities are well taken care off and the staffs really helpful.

Came out to Waitara Marine Park campground to test out our new caravan. Good rates, plenty of room, quiet. Clean facilities and unlimited hot shower water. Great that we could have our dog with us as he travels everywhere with us. Nice nearby walks. Only downer was the field had been recently mown and we couldnt avoid traipsing grass into our van. Definitely will stay here again.

The young new owners have a very fresh take on things. The camp was peaceful and exceptionally clean. Highly recommended

Sort of okay amenities not that flash often not a lot of hot water for showers washing machine old as d hills n dryer dont work!Campers advice... Don’t leave your phones unattended while on charge in the kitchen as they get stolen, if you feel inclined ask one of the people that stay there in motor homes to charge your phones or iPad/that way you will know they are in safe hands & will still be there when you require them! Many will gladly assist you! Recently a few phones have gone missing along with food being stolen out of the fridge, So be careful ! Cheap place to stay overnight or longer! Now there is a new proprietor managing the camp along with nice gas infinity hot water in the showers including new coin operated washing machines & a coin clothes dryer! Entry into camp is by way of a barrier arm for motor vehicles which makes staying there a lot safer. A token is available to open the barrier arm for a small fee that is refundable on departure!

Super tidy , clean and great value.. Friendly hosts, cafe next door is excellent as well.

Ok place to stay, cheap option $34 for two non-powered, showers are ok, kitchen is old with plug in hot plates and the lounge is out dated but has two power points to charge things

Lovely Location and great value for Money, clean and tidy Facilities and friendly staff.

Don't expect a super flash motor camp but this place is GREAT value. It's well worth the money for an unpowered site and the washer is the cheapest we've come across.

Spacious, level, never crowded, good clean facilities with free showers, 2 minute walk from the beach, all at a remarkable low overnight charge.

Great facilities and pretty cheap considering there are no free campsites around. There is lots of snap edits for camping. And it’s just down from the beach.

Old-fashioned holiday park, cheap and basic. Facilities were correct but too small. Could be better. No Free Unlimited Wifi. I put one more star for the cheap price.

Nice play area with picnic tables and a basketball court with toilet facilities and a great parking. Not far away is the beach and river.

Great place to stay, cheap too. The kitchen lacks a little maintenance but the facilities are OK.

Cheap but no eftpos. Not really dirty but everything was old and not maintened. The water taste like mud, so you could not drink it.

The kitchen uses electricity and the cooking facilities are not perfect. But the bath and toilet were clean.

The location of the ocean view is beautiful because of the sunset on the sea, but it was so far from the kitchen and toilet that I stopped near the kitchen and moved to bed before going to bed. The use of the kitchen closed early until 8:30 pm, and the check out in the morning was 10:30 am, but cleaning of the kitchen and shower was very inconvenient because it started at 9:30 am. The toilet and shower are open even at night. There are only one table outside and one table outside in the lounge, so there were times when there were no tables even if you made rice. There is no wifi. I am generally satisfied with my stay, but it is 4 stars because it is inconvenient to use. (Original) ノンパワーサイトで1人一泊＄14と値段もそこそこ安く、キッチン、ラウンジとシャワー無料で使えます。中は広く、ノンパワーサイトだとオーシャンビューかキッチン近くかで選べます。オーシャンビューの場所は海に日の入りが見えて綺麗ですが、キッチンとトイレから凄く遠いのでとりあえずキッチンの近くに止めて、就寝前に移動しました。キッチンの利用が午後8:30までと閉まるのが早く、朝もチェックアウトが朝10:30ですが、キッチン、シャワーの清掃が朝9:30からなので凄く不便でした。トイレ、シャワーは夜中でも空いてます。あとラウンジにテーブルが一個と外に一個しかないので、時間帯によってはご飯を作ってもテーブルがないことがありました。 wifiはなしです。滞在に概ね満足ですが、利用時間が不便なので星4つです。

The kitchen is small and there is not much indoor space in case of rain. (Original) Camping grande, con árboles y mucho pasto, tan solo a unos pasos del mar. Estuve en primavera y había muy poca gente. La cocina es pequeña y no hay mucho espacio bajo techo en caso de lluvia.

(Translated) All in all for $ 10 ok. Showers are not quite clean and no EftPos. (Original) Alles in allem für $10 ok. Duschen sind aber nicht ganz sauber und kein EftPos.
