What a treat to spend the morning being pampered with morning treats and beautiful beverages to try. All bee themed of course! The Queen Bees, Grass and Michelle made us so welcome and shared their passion and knowledge in a ‘hands’ on experimental way. My fire for the well-being of our native and cultivated bees has truly been ignited. Hopefully one day I’ll be part of the local bee keeping network. Throughly recommend this experience to all. Thank you Grass and Michelle for a wonderful morning.

Yesterday I attended an initial beekeeping course with Grass and Michelle. What a fantastic experience. Excellent teaching, well presented, and a bucket load of information to digest. Excellent snacks as an aside. Lots of yummy stock to try and purchase in the very cute, themed shop. Very happy to strongly recommend this.

Came here today by chance with my child. Grass was so welcoming to us she showed us around the honey shed we got to try some delicious honey as well. Was so happy to finally try Niuean honey for the first time taking me back to my roots was pretty special. Such a neat little place to stop by and check out worth the stop.

Wonderful, personable beekeeper, who relates well to adults and children. Grass is so passionate about our pollinator friends! Training, bee keeping services and a beautiful new tasting shed are part of the business, as well as the Bee Festival held in Matakana in Summer 2020 - a hugely successful, very fun and well attended event.

Amazing experience with lots of knowledge shared. Grass is a great teacher and her clear passion for bees makes the course that much more interesting and memorable. Thank you. I highly recommend for all.

Did the half day intro to beekeeping course with Grass. The course was very fun and interesting. Presented passionately and in an easy to understand. Recommended for anyone looking at starting beekeeping or even just for an interesting and different experience. Thanks Grass!

I really enjoyed Beetopia. Grass is the lady who runs this place and she knows a lot about bees, you can tell that she is very passionate about the topic. It was very interesting and I learnt a lot that I never knew before especially about native bees. The honey tasting was delicious and who knew there are so many varieties!

Amazing afternoon out. So much honey to taste and a giant range of all things bees at the shop. Got some great gifts to take home. Kids loved exploring the grounds and seeing the bees in action. My daughter and I just completed a half day beekeeping course at Beetopia and frankly we are both buzzing! The passion and enthusiasm for beekeeping is obvious. The course is readily understandable, all our questions were well answered. The honey tasting and morning tea provided were delicious. The hands on experience with the bees was enthralling. Careful explanations, good bee suits and gear meant a very pleasant and sting free session. I can’t thank Grass Esposti enough the session. It was so enjoyable and worthwhile.

Grass is an inspiration and I loved her explanations. The honey tasting was great - I had no idea there were so many subtle variations in taste between the different honeys. Great experience.

Vast selection of honeys to try and the bee keeping course taken by Grass was factual, enjoyable and she assists in giving you a sense of confidence to have a hive yourself. Grass also works with schools in the local area passing on information about bees.
