Home in a foreign land.
Had a very smooth transaction here re renewal of passport. Make sure that you bring CASH they are not accepting eftpos right now. Please be respectful of the staffs. If possible make it early as they can process you before your appointment time.

Salamuch for the superb service!! Just done renewing my wife's and my 4 kid's passports today and despite of my wife having some errors filling up the papers, its still all flow smoothly. Thanks to the man on the front desk who help us sort out the papers, and to the lady who've done the encoding, you guys are awesome, understanding, and kind. God will reward your goodworks...God bless.

When we visited to renew my passport and my son's passport the staff at the welcome desk was very helpful especially as we did not have photocopies of my son's birth certificate. He took copies from my phone. Everything went very well with the processing.

Only accepts cash ... why not allow for electronic payments ... who carries cash these days !!! ... also, had note on main door - NO MASK - NO ENTRY- they could have told us about that policy when they sent Appointment Letter and not after we had spent ages finding a parking spot and timed our arrival to just before the appointment time

The scent of home: residence in the facade however consular inside, the classic Tagalog language, the warm smiles, the classic accommodating presence, the normal high-pitch voice of the staff, some Pinoy applicants' not-so and funny antics like failing to bring the required stuff, beating set appointments, and forgetting to bring cash if not registered return envelopes. It is still a fulfilling and memorable moment to have come and transact business with the representatives of the government that I both admire and despise.

Just done my renewal of passport today. I was expecting for a delayed process since most of the comments here are bad but mine was very smooth and pleasant. My appointment was at 0940 went to the building 20 mins before my appointment and they helped me right away. The staff were very friendly and courteous. I am finished and went outside their building even before my appointment time.
Kudos!

The staff was very kind and helpful, very understanding of the difficult situation that we Filipinos are going through during this time of pandemic. It was hard to get through the telephone lines but someone called back and helped, acknowledging they missed my call.

It's pretty depressing looking at the 2.5 star rating for the Philippine Embassy. We were lucky our experience was very pleasant. All our inquiries were responded promptly by Mr. Matibag even on a WEEKEND, which was totally unexpected. Our appointment with Mr. Matibag was 9am on a Monday. When we got there, the document we requested was already prepared and signed. It was such a HASSLE FREE experience and we couldn't be more THANKFUL!

I expected more from the facility. When we were there, there was a huge hole in the ceiling. Old building. The office staff were cramped inside a room. The office clearly needs improvement and reorganizing. This is Philippine's piece of property in New Zealand. Technically, our country owns it. So seeing its poor state tells something about us. It needs a bit of that "Filipino Pride" we are very proud of.
As for the staff, we had no problems with them. We found them very kind and helpful. You still see the Pinoy bureaucratic system of working where there's a staff whose only task is to see people at the door, give out forms and make sure they fill it out correctly. Not entirely sure if it is a productive job but hey it helps.
They should sort out the mode of payment. It does not make sense for us not to adapt the payment system of NZ. An embassy in a 1st world country should at least function in a 1st world level.
All in all, it was not a terrible experience. It just needs improvements. We got the passports early. For that, we are very thankful.

One of the staff drove my partner to the nearest atm to pay for the fees since we didnt have cash on hand at that time . Greatly appreciated since my partner was with our 4 month old baby. Staff were friendly and very accomodating. Awesome job
