This tiny park is a cute, nicely thought-out break from the travesty of automotive-centered development around it.
A large sand pit playground occupies the area formally where boats we're serviced. Pieces of the docking were used for seating. The beams from the building serve as an entryway from the river side.
This is the only human-scale development in this area and hints and what might have been, and may well be in the day future.
No bathroom or water available here. Not much shade either, but a lovely view and close to many businesses is you can brave the lack of ways to walk to most of them.

Such a cool little park for a stop when you're doing the loop! Lots of sand play and just a short qalk down from te mata pohe bridge carpark if you don't want to do rhe whole loop.

An amazing place to sit and reflect - yet minutes from intensive industrial and major retail facilities.
Grab a pie, savory or just coffee and a slice. Or bring kids and or a friend to this special place. A few child friendly amenities, some seating, or sitting on the grass to enjoy ambience any time of year. Murals and plants add to the quiet experience.
Some people will know this as part of the cycle track and or walking circuit. The bridge over the waterway nearby can lead to other adventures too.

My kids love stopping here. The seating for parents and Whanau is great, It's a nice little rest area when little one's get tired from walking the loop, or they need a break during a shopping trip. Would be great to have some sort of shade on hot days though!

Kids like to play in sand? This is the place to go

My boy loves it here - it's a giant sandpit! Cleaner than you'd expect with seating in the shade or sun for parents. There is a drinking fountain and the park is monitored by CCTV. Handy to the loop and bus route by The Warehouse.

It's great. If it had some shade and a toilet it would be perfect.
