A.Weiti Bay Carpark is the beginning of a walking track which goes through Okura Bush to the beach and Dacre Cottage. The walk was about 20 mins and then joins up with the walk to Silverwater. The beach is very tranquil and large with many sea shore birds such as oyster catchers and dotterel. The tide was out and I walked quite far across the shell dotted sand to get to the sea which was warm and would be lovely to swim in. Dacre Cottage is a small historical cottage made of red brick and was built in 1855. It is surrounded by a cottage garden and a white picket fence. The surrounds are populated by various mallard ducks who were resting in the shade of the trees. Not far away was some long drop toilets and a tap to wash hands. It was a sweet place to see and worthy of a picnic party :)
J.Great little walk to the historic Dacre Cottage, nice little beach with native birds nesting too.
