s.It's so close, walk to everywhere in town, only $2 per hour and ample parking spaces available. Right next to the travel station, restaurants on newregeant street for some heritage buildings and atmosphere. OGB across the road, and cathedral sqaure or Tūranga city library within 2 minutes walk. Great instagram check in spot too.
K.Conveniently located close to cathedral square and within earshot of many places worth visiting. There's some terrific street art to see too. The lot itself isn't much to speak of - unpaved and without any cover but you don't have to print and display a ticket and the fees are reasonable.
S.I love most of the paintings around the city. This is a favourite. It such a shame alot are being covered up when new buildings go up.

It was not managed by a solid machine like Japan, but it was a system where it was properly stopped in a vacant place and paid in advance by a payment machine. Enter the car number into the machine, choose the parking time and pay. VISA touch was usable. It stopped at 1 hour 30 minutes and was $ 3. I think it's the best place to park for sightseeing.

大聖堂のすぐ近くにあるパーキング。日本のようにしっかりとした機械で管理されておらず、空いてる場所に適当に止めて支払い機で先払いするシステムだった。支払い機に車のナンバーを入力し、駐車時間を選んでお金を払う。VISAタッチが使えた。1時間30分止めて3ドルだった。観光するには最適な場所にあるパーキングだと思う。
